Sonic, where have Jet, Wave and Storm been for the past 12 years?

@twztid13 It says in the tweet that it’s the same size as the OG Game Boy. I assume it just uses roms but uses original hardware to run them. Edit: I looked at his replies and he says he uses custom mini carts he made, probably miniaturized the same was as the console. He also says he could use normal carts through an adapter.

I would say mine is probably Persona 4 on Vita. I wasn’t in as bad of a spot as most of the other commenters, but I had just moved from the place I’d lived my entire life and I had no friends. I was extremely angry all the time (also probably because I was 13 and it was the beginning of Covid). Persona 4 gave me characters written so well, it felt like they were real people. I couldn’t put the game down, I loved every single character and social link. All the while, the calendar system showed me just how long I had until the end. I rarely cry at media, but I didn’t stop crying for a good 30 minutes after finishing it. Then I realized I didn’t get the true ending, so I reloaded my save and finished the boss. Of course, I cried again lol.

@WeLiveInASociety Shadow was pretty amazing in 06 but he’s been awful in everything else post SA2. He was ok in Heroes but that was the start of his decline.

Wow, Stanley Parable is 60FPS in native resolution? I was already going to buy it but now I’m really impressed.

@Fizza EarthBound isn’t that convoluted, other than stuff like waiting 2 minutes behind a waterfall to progress with no hints to it. EarthBound Beginnings is a little weirder though. @Half-ShellHero Wow, Disk Replay was my main store. I loved that place. There are a surprising amount of Hoosiers here, which is weird because it’s a a UK site.

The main issues with GameStop are A: The staff are trained to never shut up about pre-orders, the membership card, and games you don’t want. This isn’t an isolated issue, I’ve been in GameStops from Indiana, to LA, to Palm Springs. Every single store has this. B: Their stock is confusing and inconsistent. Some stores sell Wii and DS games, others seemingly only sell PS4 and Switch games. Not the mention all the stupid anime T-shirts and pop figures they fill their stores with. Trash that, use the space for a better selection of games.

Sonic movie one was actually a great movie, it had some legitimately funny jokes. This one looks even better!

The photo realistic trees and stuff do look beautiful, but they aren’t right for Banjo, as others have said. I wish Pokémon Legends Arceus had trees that good.

I might just buy this! To me, this seems like a sequel to the PAC-Man collection on GBA. Which is good because that game is still the best collection of Pac-Man games, at least portably.

@QueenKittenWrite I first played this in 2019 when I was 12. It was the first non-modern game I ever finished and I adored it. It hasn’t aged poorly, at least not nearly as much as other games from its era. And it’s just as easy to love without nostalgia as it is with it.

@MH4 Seriously, when is that movie coming out? I was in 3rd Grade when it was announced, now I’m 15. The script got cancelled, they changed production companies, and just when they finally had a script everyone agreed on, Scott Cawthon got cancelled 🙄.

It is very annoying to see all these 30 year olds trying to live life as permanent teenagers, and not having kids simply because they’re lazy and don’t want the responsibility. I’m 15 and live in LA, sometimes I feel like I’m more mature than my neighbors lol

Edit: There’s nothing wrong with being an adult and gaming/enjoying “kid” stuff. My parents enjoyed Spider-Man just as much as I did, and we talk about Disney parks all the time. I’m specifically criticizing adults acting like they’re 16 year olds.

@Bobb The OLED is so impossible to show the difference on video. The tiny pixels is only because of the camera. The color difference between Original and OLED is so insane that I honestly think the display units in Target are going to convince people more than any ads.
You can barely see it on video.

I haven’t played SoulSilver yet but I’m really excited to. Between SM and USUM, I honestly like SM more. The graphical changes, gameplay and postgame of USUM were great. But they totally botched the story. Stuff like Gladion leaving instead of Lillie, randomly not including the scene of her on the island (a very important character development moment), completely forgiving Lusamine for being an horrible, abusive mother and bad person and trying to make her a protagonist. They just ruined the story. But the Ultra Wormholes were fun.

@Steviecomebacks Everytime I catch a Pokémon in FR I just marvel at the sprite for a good 40 seconds. Great game, only problem is the grinding.

@HeadPirate Grinding for two hours to beat Brock and another two hours to beat Misty with only about 30 minutes of story progress and 30 minutes of catching Pokémon is tedious and obnoxious, not difficult. I can’t begin to fathom why people are so obsessed with the Exp Share and how it “ruins the series”. Now I’m just catching Pokémon as fast as I can to try to get 50 and unlock the Exp Share. It’s not worth wasting my time grinding.

@Zuljaras I totally agree with this. But I’m playing FireRed, my first Pokémon game with no exp share, and I fail to see why people say it’s harder. It’s not any more difficult than exp share on, it just makes it so I literally had to spend 5 hours grinding to beat Misty. It’s not a fun challenge, just ridiculously slow. Unless I’m missing something.

@reporterdavid The fact that we’re nearing the very end of the switch era blows my mind.

The reason I even got an OLED was my launch day Switch was TRASHED. It overheated any time I turned it on, the fan was insanely loud. It got so hot that the whole thing warped and the vent cover got super brittle and snapped off. It was covered in scratches, the top screw fell out as a result of the console overheating and getting warped and brittle. And the screen was super scratched. Also the joy cons wobbled when attached to the switch and would slide off as a result of my little brother forcefully ripping them off instead of holding the button down and gently sliding off. That was in the early days of owning it however and he was like 7.

@HotGoomba When was the last time you played Metroid Prime dude? It’s just barely violent enough to get a T rating, but it’s not even COMPARABLE to Devils Third, Bayonetta, or Conker.

@Zuljaras OLED screens rarely are accurate in video. The only way to see it’s sheer beauty is in person. I just got a switch OLED and watched the Sora trailer on it as a demo. It was literally night and day from the original model. It was absolutely insane.

@NikHogan I used to hate on it for having so much missing content. But really I think why it’s so boring to me is there’s only one store upgrade, no Public Works Projects, only a few buildings and not as many house upgrades.

@FluffiestP1llow Lol he needs to grow up even outside that. I started out thinking he was a great member of the community and respected his devotion to rhythm games but he’s worn on me massively. He’s a bizarre kind of Puritan towards violence in specific and tells everyone that anything not made for little children is “a poison that corrupts everything pure”. He’s in his late 30’s by the way. He literally won’t play some rhythm games because they feature songs from anime made for adults. He also said he was disgusted by Astros Playroom and will never touch it because it features a cameo from an adorable robot Kratos and other references to non E rated games. He pushes these beliefs aggressively onto everyone here, not to mention constantly flexing about how great he is for only playing games physically 100% the way Nintendo wants. Like, I understand wanting full ownership of your games and being a collector, but do you need to tell everybody EVERY SINGLE ARTICLE that has anything to do with digital games?
