TTYD was mind-blowingly exciting just from the sheer "they actually did this" factor, but I've already played it twice on a hacked Wii. Mario Vs Donkey Kong is great, and I already knew from Pyoro that the DK game would be MVDK, but it's still disappointing to see that DK hasn't gotten a proper game since Tropical Freeze. Same with F-Zero, exciting and disappointing at the same time. Overall it was a pretty average direct, more info on announced stuff and a couple very hype moments. The absence of Prime 4 confirms to me it's a Switch 2 launch title, this would've been their last chance to announce it.
@rushiosan How is that a fair comparison? Fortnite came out over 20 years later with a audience of older kids, teens and adults. Harvest Moon 64 was marketed towards kids, and was released in a much more restrictive time than Fortnite.
And I wonder if you know What it means, what it means And I wonder if you know What it means to find your dreams

@_zoipi I don’t see how that discredits him? Remote work may be easier and produce better work in some industries, but I don’t see why he couldn’t have been correct.
I would disagree with y’all, they clearly retconned Pikmin 1 so they could introduce Fiddlebert as a canon part of the lore instead of staying exclusive to the GameCube timeline 🤷♂️
I just vastly prefer the music and "vibe" of the TOTK shrines. After playing BOTW for hundreds of hours and burning myself out on it, the Sheikah shrines and music started to have like, an extremely oppressive atmosphere. I think the somewhat cold lighting and blue and dark colors in the Sheikah shrines, as well as the repetitive and weirdly angry sounding music are why. The teal, blue-green and "zen" atmosphere and main aesthetic of TOTK is vastly better IMO!
@Yosher That level was actually horrifying. I barely remember that game as a whole but that level definitely stuck with me because of how unexpected it was.
@contractcooker He blocked me because I spoke out against his complaint on every article he doesn’t care about. If it was satire, he’d be happy because that’s the response he’d want. Somehow, these are his real opinions 😂
@StarPoint The picture is great but the big horizontal rectangle with a picture on the middle of a stark white shirt looks awful. Maybe if the image blended in with the color of the shirt it would look good. It just makes me mad because I would love it with just a few changes
@Bret Did I phrase that confusingly? That’s exactly what I said, I was a huge fan and pre-ordered a copy of the third game, which is now worth a decent amount of money. I never said the first 2 games were.
I miss Yo-Kai Watch tbh. When I was 11, I was like the only person in America who cared about it. I literally preordered the only copy of YW3 my GameStop was stocking. GOATED game btw, get it on the Eshop while you can. The physical copies are at least worth 300$ now. Huge flex
@nessisonett @HotGoomba @PBandSmelly Sorry, I was somewhat unclear about my “identity politics” remark. I just meant that it didn’t really make sense in the context that this was in-universe, a 90’s movie. It wasn’t really a complaint about the gay characters and stuff and more a complaint that the framing device of the movie doesn’t make any sense given the artstyle and content of the movie are both mismatched with what 90’s movies were really like. I wasn’t really saying it shouldn’t have been in the film, just that it kind of clashed with the setup of the movie.
@Serpenterror Wow, hot takes. Obviously you didn’t say they were bad but I think most MGS fans prefer Snake Eater to Twin Snakes. Huge respect for putting Ghost Babel on there too!
I always thought Big was overhated, because his gameplay is awful. As a character he’s just a funny large cat with a goofy voice who wants to have a simple life and fish with his best friend Froggy.
@Lizuka What I did is reorganize them so all the first party Nintendo games and actually good third party games are organized by release date in neat rows. Then I put all the SP “games” in rows to create a wall between the good stuff, and all the garbage shovelware they’ve added.
I hope the biggest announcement is that they’re reworking Frontiers and adding Adventure style momentum physics and the Forces controls were just a placeholder. Of course, that’s just a completely ridiculous dream that doesn’t make any sense, but it would go a long way to make this game actually fun.
I’m not a big fan of the aesthetic. Sonic is supposed to be vibrant, in your face, and overall radical. This looks like a generic BOTW ripoff with the PSO2NG aesthetic. I love Phantasy Star, but it works in those games because that’s the art style. This is Sonic the Hedgehog for crying out loud!
My favorite games are X and Y. Yes, they’re definitely the second most flawed games after Sword and Shield, but I like them anyway. Why? They were my first Pokémon games back in 2016. Simple as that. Seriously though, these games deserved so much better than they got. Some very simple changes to the story, making the difficulty more akin to an actual game than a tutorial, and actually explaining Zygarde would’ve made a perfect Pokémon Z that could’ve been up there with Black and White, Platinum and Emerald. Kalos is such a awesome region that has so much personality, it just needed a good story to justify it IMO.
@Not_Soos Undertale is kinda overrated NGL. I prefer Earthbound and Mother 3. Deltarune however, is way better in my opinion. Easily up there with those games.
Toby is truly a creative genius. Deltarune Chapter 1 and 2 have some of the best video game music ever made. I would seriously put it up there with Super Mario Galaxy and most Sonic games. I’m so glad he’s back for Scarlet and Violet.
@QueenAdrian Yeah, the IGN build is effectively a vertical slice focusing on exploration. It’s only the first zone, and leaves out enemies, NPCs, and the story. I still have hope for this game, but there’s still no excuse for the animations missing frames and general lack of polish. I think they should delay it, they’ve learned the hard way what happens when they rush an ambitious Sonic game for the holidays.
I would say that it’s an early build, but people were obsessed with defending BDSP with that and that game turned out awful. Very little gameplay has been shown and this is only the first zone, so my hopes are still creeping upwards.
@AzzyC The duck is not based on Stalin. Nintendo wouldn’t do something like that, they’ve thankfully managed to stay the most apolitical out of modern companies. Sure Stalins hair looks vaguely similar to Quaxlys, but while Stalins hair is completely slicked back, Quaxlys is much larger and has a little swoop. Again, I’d usually be 100% on your side, but this just doesn’t make any sense.
@AzzyC Ok, usually I would agree if there was actually something to complain about. But it’s literally just a duck. Pretty much any Pokémon could be argued in some stretchy way to be commie related than that duck. It’s literally, just a duck.

Game looks amazing! Idk why they didn’t think to evolve the NSMB formula much sooner but idc I’m hype for this anyways
