I need to stop buying new games and just play NSO games. So many gems here, many of which I never got around to playing or finishing when they were new.
@Dm9982 I just tried updating my copy of Timespinners, and it said no update was available, with v1.0.2 still being the latest. The eShop listing says, "Update 08/05/2025: Previously identified issues have been resolved with an update." So this fix might be old news!
I'm relieved to see Dragon Warrior IV — one of the greatest RPGs of all time — getting its due.
Some of my own candidates that weren't listed:
Archon Adventure Island Adventure of Lolo Battletoads Cobra Triangle Crystalis Double Dragon II Excitebike Final Fantasy Ghosts 'n Goblins Life Force Maniac Mansion Metal Gear Rad Racer Rygar Strider
@J-Fox It was a dial-up modem that would make matches and then connect you directly. Weaponlord was the first game designed with XBAND in mind, IIRC. Other games, like Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat, and Super Mario Kart, were reverse-engineered by XBAND developers at Catapult to work as well.
I'd like a case that has an interior zippered pocket for accessories (USB cables, Joy Con straps, etc.). None of these appear to fit the bill. Any recommendations?
EDIT: The comment just above mine points to Satisfye, which looks like it has everything I need! Thanks!
Having never played a Hitman game before, I was relieved to learn "Fire 47 Suit" is a reference to him being Agent 47, and not an obsequious reference to a different 47th person.
This past week, I finished both Ori and the Will of the Wisps, as well as Pine. Not sure what to start next… maybe Downwell, or Metroid Prime Remastered?
I was surprised that all the filters were on by default; the very first game I searched for (Lake) wasn't found because it contains romance. Seems like filters should be opt-in rather than opt-out?
The product's Web site says, "Today THQ announced Worms Battle Islands for Wii. Worms Battle Islands is a turn-based strategy game that allows players to battle across 6 unique and custom designed levels as they take control of and customize their islands."
I played a ton of F-Zero 64 in college, to the point where I would always come in first. I set a new challenge of seeing how many fellow racers I could destroy before crossing the finish line. The best score was coming in first out of one.
Somehow, I have almost no memories of the GameCube sequel. I'll have to revisit it this evening. Thanks for the motivation!
I loved this game and was disappointed by how short it was and at how inaccessible the sequel was. The original is available for Windows at GOG.com, but I'll probably never get to play Heart of the Alien.

@FantasiaWHT Same. It's a stylistic choice, and all the more power to those who appreciate this aesthetic… but it's not for me.
