Re: Kingdom Hearts' Sora Gets Added To The Smash Bros. Ultimate Mural

@Paraka For myself, I liked the Spirit Adventure mode thing enough to play through it twice. Classic mode I've gone through with every character. I think my hours logged on Ultimate is pretty ridiculous considering I mostly have played it Single player.

I guess it depends on what you want from Single player in a fighting game. Nowadays, an arcade mode isn't enough for me personally. But for others, it's all they want.

@Paraka I suppose it all comes from opening Pandora's box. As soon as a model becomes popular, it gets standardised, and then there's no going back. Free-to-play, continuous updates, the rapid devaluation of games (where anything 6 months old should be a budget title), and so on. Nobody is stopping to see where this is all going.

Not me, though. I still play my Wii U. But with Switch which is no longer able to play on the TV, Smash is purely a single player eexperience for me - one in which I've done everything. Which is why I've welcomed each new fighter because it gives me a reason to log on.

@Paraka I liked them all for what they were - an excuse for me to log on to Smash again and do some single player content. But the fighting game characters always gave me a buzz because without the genre being such a huge part of growing up in the 90s I might never have gotten into Smash in the first place.

@Not_Soos "The appeal in replaying those games is definitely starting to wear off though, so I hope Nintendo puts N64 games on there soon. Not sure if they ever will, but fingers crossed."

N64 and Game boy Advanced would be great. Though, even then I'd be looking for the B tier games instead of the Triple A stuff that I've already played to death (and own on the Wii U).

Re: Talking Point: One Year On, What's Still Missing From Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

I think I only played so many hours of this game because it wasn't a retread of the same old Animal Crossing games of the past. Everything that was absent was a breath of fresh air for me. I'm not saying the beloved characters shouldn't return in some form or another but if it's just a case of "add this exact thing that was in the other games" then that pretty much sums up everything wrong with gaming in the modern age.
