There's a lot of stuff happening in the world Nintendo at the moment. Anniversaries, in particular, seem to be grabbing all the attention, but there are a few other things you should probably be on the lookout for.
One game arriving later this week, for example, is the Nintendo Switch exclusive Bravely Default II. It's already had a demo and soon it'll be getting its very own Super Smash Bros. Ultimate event.
Yes, that's right, starting this Friday, there'll be a Bravely Default event featuring two brand new spirits. Below is the tweet.
Will you be participating in this upcoming event? Are you picking up a copy of Bravely Default II later this week? Leave a comment down below.

Why just 2 spirits? Will they make duos again like Trials of Mana?
@Bobb According to Sakurai, he could only get the rights to 2 of them. The other characters are owned by different companies.
Missed the Hyrule Warriors one, so I'm just waiting for that to come back so I can have a full spirit list again
Wait, are people still playing Smash? 🤪 I jest...no but really?
Gotta catch "em all!
@Blooper987 How did I miss this?!? Usually I'm trying to keep up to date with the news about new spirits. Can't believe I overlooked this one.
Ahhh can't wait for this game on Friday
JRPGs are seriously overrepresented in Smash.
I can't work out the second picture. Is she sitting on her sword? Why doesn't she fall over? This bothers me more than it should.
Thought so, Smash has always caught up with the main Switch releases. There'll likely be a MH Rise spirit event in March.
For the people claiming this disconfirms the Bravely Default II characters, remember that Min Min, Pyra and Mythra came as Spirits at launch, but became DLC Fighters later anyway.
Sure, these new Spirits were released after launch, but if DLC lasts more than they originally intended, like a Season 3, getting a Spirit at launch or after launch should not make a difference, and post-launch Spirits released very early may still get in Season 2.
@backup368 wow, that's really... weird? There are 4 main characters on BD2 but some of them are owned by different companies?
On a side note: I can't believe I missed the Hyrule Warriors spirits 😩
@Twilite9 It's almost like Nintendo as a company develops, publishes, and gets exclusive rights to a lot of JRPGs so by default Smash gets a lot of JRPG representation.
@Bobb Yep. Who are we to not trust Sakurai?
