I miss this style of Ys games, before they basically turned the franchise into "Trails of Ys" instead.

For me, this year are looking pretty generic so far, when it comes to first party titles. Though kids will probably love them.

If the next Star Fox game, is yet another remake of the N64 game, then they should just let the franchise stay dead.

Big nope from me.
I wish it was a proper action platformer, like Wolly World and Crafted World, both of which also had way better artstyles.
I hope Nintendo has something bigger to announce soon, because this and the Splatoon Raiders, just doesn't do anything for me.

Incredible, DF gives praise to the Switch 2 port, but some user are STILL butthurt, because they also points out flaws.
It's the job for DF to bring out both the good and bad points, and that is not exclusive for the Switch 2. They point out flaws in XBox, PC and PS games as well. That's why it's called a tech REVIEW.

Got the game pre-ordered on Steam.
The Switch 2 port is impressive, but still, I want that sweet path tracing, and higher framerates.

Isn't it kinda hilarious, how adults complain, about movies aimed at kids?
Go watch the animated stuff we watched and enjoyed as kids (Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats etc), and you realise, it was just as "shallow" and even more stupid.
If kids are having a great time, then they made a good job with it 👍

Damn so many people getting grumpy about the movie being a success.
Let people enjoy some "stupid" popcorn fun.
The world is so damn miserable and negative now, that this kind of film is a relief for the audience.
And what do people expect from a Mario movie? Citizen Kane?

Watch it on a big 4K screen, not a phone.

I think some people needs new glasses, or just watching on small screens?
The 4K upgrade is VERY noticeable on big screens (I got a 83 inch LG OLED).

I hope they give Yoshi's Crafted World, and Xenoblade 2 + 3, 4K patches.

You would think that they at least would offer the 4K upgrade for free. But nope...

The output of exlusive first party games, have been slow for years now.
Switch 2 editions and low budget fillers, like Mario Tennis, just don't cut it.
Mario Kart world, became boring after just a few hours. Bananza got super repetitive (gave up at layer 10). And Metroid Prime 4, was a huge disappointment, as it was the reason why I bought a SW2 to begin with, due to the upgraded performance. But I should just have kept my SW1 and play that version instead. Nothing coming up, makes me wanna turn on the system again. It's seems like it will gather dust, for another couple of months...or longer.

I hope Nintendo comes up with something brand new, next gen, as I don't want a Switch 3.
They're just playing it too safe these days.

About time, as this was the promise, in the early days of digital, that it would be cheaper than physical. Glad it's finally happening.

Pre-ordered the PC version, but might pick up the Switch version later on. Because it's an amazing port, which both look and runs better, than on my Legion Go S.

2D Mega Man don't need voice actors.
It just becomes annoying.
Thankfully you could turn it off in MM11.

Looks incredibly boring.
I would rather have a "Yoshi's Woolly World 2".

This looks like it's gonna be yet another slow year, for Switch 2...

They need to remove ALL the AI/shovelware slop.

Because you can sell or trade the game, when you're done with it, or lend it to a friend.

I wish Nintendo still made handhelds like this, with dedicated games, that was optimized for the hardware.
Switch 2 is too damn big and uncomfortable to use.

People defending this sh*tty upgrade/"remaster", is the reason why developers are sloppy these days.

This is the kind of "slop" you expect, to fill the void at the end of a console generation, not in the beginning.

Nintendo selling this at full price, is pure insanity. This should be a budget game, at around 20-30 euros at most.
It's not exactly a 100 million budget, AAA game. But I guess anything Mario, is instant 80-90 euros...

Considering how terrible the performance is, even on PS5 Pro and a high end PC, I don't have any hopes for the Switch 2 version.
The Steam Deck can barely stay at 20fps.
Though pretty expected as Suda51 games, usually have terrible performance 🤣

I pre-ordered the PC version, but I'm also considering buying the Switch 2 version, for my girlfriend, as it's a very impressive port. So many great Capcom games coming out this year

I have played all demo versions now (PC, PS5 Pro, Switch),
and I must say that Capcom have done an amazing job with the Switch 2 version. Handheld the game struggles, but docked, it both runs and looks better than expected. There seems to be a little bit of raytracing in there as well, and DLSS makes it look really sharp
Sure, there are still some hitches and stutters, but nothing gamebreaking at all. If Switch 2 was my only system, I would have been VERY happy with this one.
You're in for a real treat, and I expect the new Resident Evil, to be just as good.
Great job Capcom!

Nobody is forcing anyone to buy the SD card, as the game will be just fine, downloaded on a regular SD card. There is Zelda and Mario branded SD cards as well. It's just a fun extra.

If I didn't already have the RE games on PC, I would have bought them all on Switch, and put them on that SD card. And voilà, you have a physical RE collection, all on one officially licensed SD card 😁

Nintendo cover art, have been sh*t for almost 30 years now.
I just hate the cheap CGI designs, that they have used since the N64 era. Sometimes, they can surprise us, with old-school hand painted artwork, but it's VERY rare. The Zelda covers have been pretty good though.

I'm disappointed by the lack of upgrades.
Having SW1 games being stuck at max 720p, when playing portable, looks worse, on the higher res display.
And many more demanding games, scale REALLY badly, from around 520p to the new 1080p display, making them look terrible.
I had hoped that they would add a mode to play SW1 games as "docked", even in portable mode.

Any kind of artwork, (if done by human, not AI) is done using creativity. Even if it's nudity.

I played the demo on PC, and instantly pre-ordered the game.
Something that I almost never do, these days.

I have an original VB, and there a some excellent games on there.
Also my modded 3DS, play these games flawlessly in 3D.
Just like with a Vectrex, current displays, can't perfectly recreate the look, but the 3D depth on the 3DS emulator, is pretty much the same as on an original VB.

Metroid is sadly not a system seller, compared to Zelda or Mario.
And Switch 1, had both a new 3D Zelda and 3D Mario, during the same year.
But let's see if Nintendo deliver the goods this year. And hopefully not a bunch of ports and Switch 2 Editions.

Just like with the Wii to Wii U situation, the casuals might have moved on, to something else. Sure, it sells MUCH better than the Wii U ever did, but I doubt Switch 2, will sell anyway near the numbers, of the first one.
Nintendo isn't alone now, making powerful handhelds, that also can play docked.
And the price of the Switch 2 and games, are too much.
Especially in today's economy.

Yeah the 3D is definitely on my top 5 of the best, on 3DS. 😁👍
Most games, the 3D just becomes a gimmick.

Too bad 3D TV:s are over with, as it could have looked really epic, on a huge screen.

I wish Nintendo would port over Kid Icarus Uprising. Would be sad if it will be stuck and forgotten on 3DS forever.
Being able to play the game with dual sticks, would make the experience MUCH better.
And it could also help to see if there is interest enough to make a new game in the franchise.

Definitely Europe for this one.

As someone who only bought Switch 2 for the first party and exclusive third-party games (I got PC and PS5 for the rest), this is not looking promising...
Let's hope Nintendo have a bunch of NEW titles to announce soon, and not just a wave of "Switch 2 Editions".
