Re: Video: Pragmata Hands-On Impressions Shared By Capcom

I've played the Steam demo multiple times now, trying to beat the sped run. The game is just brilliant. I was hooked after just a minute.
And the hacking became instantly second nature.
Just love how you can lower the defenses of the machines, so a powerful shot, can blow them to pieces.

Looking forward to see how Switch 2 handles the game. It runs well on Steam Deck, so it shouldn't be any problems.

It went from a game I wasn't sure about, to instant pre-order.
This one, Resident Evil 9, and a new Onimusha, within the same year? Thank you Capcom!!

Re: Talking Point: Six Months Since Launch, How Would You Rate Switch 2?

Exerion76

Mine have been collecting dust (mostly game on my Legion Go S, PS5 and PC), since I got bored with Donkey Kong Bananza.
Though Metroid Prime 4 is on the way, so finally I'll get some use out it.
Honestly, I could have waited with the upgrade, especially since I could have played MP4, on my Oled Switch 1. The Switch 2 screen is so bad in comparison...

Nothing coming up after MP4, that I'm looking forward to, so I might sell it afterwards, and buy the next revision, if it finally have gotten a great collection of new exclusives by then.

@NintendoWife
" Spoken like a true programming expert (not)."
And you are?

You can alter things like resolution, framerate caps and settings, by doing changes in a config file.
An example, on PC.

With a hacked Switch 1, you can remove 30fps caps, increase the resolution and settings, like in Witcher 3 and Doom etc. Same with a hacked PS4, that can run Bloodborne at higher framerates, when removing the lock.

Simple changes in settings, don't cost money, only creating brand new texture packs, and content, costs money.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment?

Exerion76

Nope, musuo games, no matter how they try to add new stuff, just ends up feeling like the same games, with new artwork.

And I'm so damn tired of the BotW universe.
Time for a reboot. They used to refresh the series, just 2-5 years apart. BotW have been going on for 9 years, in a couple of months.
Move on already!

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Play NES Games These Days?

Exerion76

I got my RGB modded AV Famicom, connected to my OledTV, through a OSSC. I have a NES pin adapter, for my NES carts. But mostly use my Everdrive N8 Pro.
Sometimes, I play NES games, on my Analogue Pocket.

I also got my original NES hooked up to a 21inch Trinitron CRT, in the bedroom.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's SNES Library With Three More Titles

I bought Everdrive carts, for all my retro consoles. Got them hooked up to my OLED with a OSSC scaler.

No more need, waiting for Nintendo to take years/generations, to finally release the 8-16 bit games I want, on their service. Most of them will probably never see a re-release, due to license issues.

I wish they had continued with Virtual Console, which had a much better catalogue of games/consoles (at least on Wii).
At least we have Hamster's Arcade Archives, delivering the goods.

Re: Opinion: Resident Evil Requiem Represents A Turning Point For Switch 2

"No longer left behind".
Maybe for the first two years, but games will just become more demanding with time, and the next gen PS and Xbox is coming around 2027. As usual, it depends on how well the game engines, scales down to weaker hardware.
But if all developers finally gets their hand on a dev kit, and actually start using DLSS, then it's possible that SW2 might tag along a bit longer than that.

I only use my Switch 2 for exclusives.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush (Switch 2) - DLC That's Ripe With Fun, But Could've Been More

Exerion76

Another cash grab, from Nintendo.
This definitely could, and should have been included on the cartridge.

Compare to Astro Bot (a much better game than DK Bananza) on PS5, which have gotten multiple free dlc, since the release, with extra stages, modes etc.

I played Bananza, up til layer 10, and just don't feel like finishing the rest. All the smashing and collecting got too damn repetitive. Hope we get a 2D Country game next.
