Good for her for not accepting a job that's not paying her worth, but asking for a boycott is a bit... extreme? She may be in a bad place if she's going through those lengths. To me it just sounds like negotiations didn't pan out and both parties moved on (sort of)
Also one complaint that wasnt brought up because it doesn't show until later, the tier grind slows down after tier 31. Missions give more points, but their increment is a fraction and not proportionate to the requirements of the missions. Not a bad thing if you like playing the game, a bummer if you want to spend your time doing other things and really like the game.
I will say the parry system has some guessing that comes with it. Like playing rock, paper, scissors however some guessing based on how people play helps. For instance, there's a chance that players have a consistent 1st option when they first parry before they make another guess, if you remember who beat you and you parry them again try choosing what would have worked against them the first time. Also it helps to remember you don't have to parry until someone dies, opportunities to run or break sometimes open. "L" & "R" buttons are your friends.
The game does require some strategy, it's not always a good idea to fight head on.
@SuperKMx This is the same thing I thought once it mentioned UK buyers. Other powers are at play here, and not necessarily the company can avoid other than warn of the extra fees. (Or pay for them themselves which are quite sizeable) this is why I went digital.
@Pac-Manc You can play on the touch screen in this scenario. When you start the game it asks if you wanna use joy-con (for multiplayer) or touchscreen. (Oddly enough you can only use pro controller in single player. Kind of an odd choice.)
Loved Xenoblade 2, didn't care much for the fan service though. I would like to see more Xeno fighters in general.
And I think Smash does a good job of not just integrating other gaming franchises to the game, but it does a good job honoring their roots as well, so having a covered Mai would have been thought as "half-assed." It is, what it is.
Doesn't Microsoft own the rights since they trademarked the IP? Being hardware developers themselves I don't see them handing out IP rights even on friendly terms. At least not without major industry restructuring. These are businesses, and they don't make moves out of goodwill if it's not in their benefit; at least personally, I see little to gain from such a move.
This industry is changing fast though, it's hard to imagine exclusives holding much power anymore. Little reason for any publisher to make exclusive games without an incentive, and being how these titles are budgeted now you need some deep pockets for AAA exclusives from established brands.
I like TWEWY, its themes can still be relatable; people that you commune with can be wildly different once you begin to know their inner universes, it's never fair to generalize an individual as a community, that's why things like politics and religion are so polarizing, they deal with personal moral codes and ethics, and things that an individual holds close to heart. If I could vote it would be to balance the force. Until we can find a better way to govern ourselves and the "invisible" hands that move economic markets, money will be the most direct link to power, and power will have to continue to swing from left to right and right to left until we can find a way to make compromises without compromises. The danger lies in the pendulum staying on one side.
American culture is going through a transformation, and sometimes it's an ugly process.
Much like individual development, anyone that has had lessons in humility and growth knows that we have to admit the things that we keep in the shadows to be able to make something with it, and improve. I would think a collective identity would go through the same changes over time.
TLDR; Vote to keep the balance, the pendulum must never remain on either side.
This is just a guess based on zero evidence.
The new Switch will be able to take advantage of 4k tvs in some way, and with that comes the boost in specs. With how fast microcomputing is moving, and with how the Switch came out with outdated internals already, the can probably update chipset, update screen, keep the same price tag and drop the OG Switch in price.
I love my switch, but I don't see it staying relevant without a spec boost. The idea of taking ANY game on the go is far too tantalizing, but for that to happen successfully it needs to appeal to the publishers by closing the development difficulty gap.
Ultimately platforms are investments, and businesses are less inclined to make a choice of high risk/low rewards.
In a few years who knows what the landscape will look like. It's changed by leaps and bounds in 25 years, cloud games may become more prevalent in less than a decade making hardware much less relevant.
While I love Xeno, I'd like to see what else they make. Baten Kaitos 3 would be nice. But I think, based on a concept image I saw for their new game, they're gonna go with a medieval fantasy setting. I'd also like to see a sequel to X some years down the road.
@Cobalt I feel ya. But I'm not interested in many of those games either. Except for Smash. On the PS4 side, DQ11, everything else looks meh. It is what it is. I don't get what people dislike about not making the same decisions.
I'd get it. It was a different control setup, with a decent learning curve. It would be a niche market, but I don't think that the control issues could not be addressed. That said, 59.99 is an unfair price for a port, but I'd get it anyway because UGC or Amazon Prime.
I have an experience with it too. My Wii had been out of warranty for at least a couple of years. They sent me a box to send it in and charged me nothing. I was very pleasantly surprised. I was expecting to put down some cash, but nope, they hooked me up.
Well considering trends, with the exception of BotW, lately when Nintendo reveals a game, it comes out within the year of its announcement. Odyssey, Xeno 2, ARMS, Splatoon 2. I honestly did not expect Xeno 2 to make out by the end if 2017, and a Dec 1 release date seemed to me like a placeholder until Nintendo stuck to it. I have high hopes for what I know is coming, and moreso for what I don't know.
It's their right. With that said, it was assumed to be a perfect scenario, which life isn't. I would be upset too, I suppose, but a lawsuit is an extreme solution to an unexpected problem. I'm sure people paid more to go to E3 this year, to wait in line for hours and play games for minutes, the difference I guess was that it was to be expected.
Steelseries Arctis 7 are pretty dope too, I've been able to get wireless sound to my headphones from the Switch, and all my other consoles/platforms.
I can't wait to test these out once the voice chat rolls out.
Welp. I was considering purchasing to show support, but I won't support anything below equal parity amongst versions. Performance boosts are one thing. That campaign would've lent itself eell to the switch design. Oh well, next.
@dimi that slowdown is due mostly to supply. I am wary though, if it hits a slump I hope it's akin to the 3DS in the sense that they can recover from it.
On a side note, best games this year have been Japanese so far, I can't say Persona 5 pushes the envelope in terms of graphical fidelity. I think the Switch is gonna kill when it comes to JRPGs (I know P5 is PS4 exclusive, we're still getting SMT, DQXI, and Xenoblade within 2 yrs)
I'm really curious about E3. I wonder how many people will start taking Switches to gaming conventions. If Nintendo plays it well, E3 would be the place to show the multiplayer strength of the Switch, as well as free marketing.
I am excited for this. It's a competitive tactical boxing simulation. I can see myself taking the Switch over to a friend's and challenging people to bouts. It doesn't seem too mindless to me, and that's exciting. It's definitely not Splatoon, it's more personal than that, it relies on the player's tactical ingenuity as opposed to team synergy. It is however the Splatoon of its genre.
Not bad. My guess is it will support mobile games, which make more sense playing undocked and when docked compatibility with virtual console. They also mentioned active interest in VR as well as having resources to produce it which would make sense considering the possibilities of the Joy-cons and living up to the name "Switch" This is getting closer to true modular gaming, not in terms of specs but in terms of gameplay experiences. The tablet being the console solves the issue of wires with VR as well as accessibility through Gear VR-like solutions even if it's not on par with the likes of HTC Vive or PSVR. All without having to sacrifice the innovations of generations past with the exception of dual screen gaming a la "Wii U" (DS games and 3DS games could still be emulated, the 2DS is essentially one touch screen)
Patents certainly point at bucking the console trend; some business decisions such as merging the hardware divisions for portable and console solidify that. It doesn't look likely that AMD will provide mobile chips.
There is still the possibility that it may come in different forms and prices. Soon.
I don't think they'll abandon their development style for quick, generic, F2P, mobile games. As an entertainment company it doesn't suit them. Out of the big 3 they are the only one that shows more interested in people's lives than their attention; Generation Touch games, Art Academy, Wii Fit, 3DS play coins from walking, QoL.
I also think they see things in the long term; it's not long before consoles cross PC territory. It seems to me Microsoft is already crossing that line.
Mobile processors are catching up, quick. 5yrs have had more effect in mobile computing when compared to the more traditional computing. Depending on how this thing is received it could potentially turn the indistry on its head.
I think it will be successful. I'll take my 3ds and game, (even as the xl it fits fine in my pocket) but not my phone. I only really play pokemon go, because it's a game that can afford interruption, even though there are some attractive titles it's too easy to not play games on my phone. I'll take a dedicated device for portable gaming; I'm not keen on playing and priced Zelda experience on a smartphone or small tablet, they are not dedicated gaming devices. Give me a dedicated gaming device and the thinking changes. I think in this day and age where everything is "smart" you find redundancy everywhere, the difference is the form factor and operating systems.
I like the idea, it speaks to the Japanese market, I'm really curious to see where their efforts in AR and Streetpass go, it sounds like it could be something that works in tandem with accessories like HR monitors and fitness devices via bluetooth. I can see unlockables by actual activity, it would encourage their QOL initiative, and by dedicating most of their resources to a portable they have essentially removed the biggest obstacle between gaming and an active lifestyle by literally removing the walls.
There are many devices that could potentially do what I mentioned, but I think the difference is that this is a dedicated gaming company making a dedicated platform that can be a catalyst for their QoL initiative.
I don't mind the modifications to the western release, I can appreciate the patch to want to play the game as originally developed. I think the general idea is that someone else got something we didn't.
That's not to say people won't use "noble" causes to mask the real intentions.
What was Miyamoto expecting? If they have been researching VR for a while, and he already has expectations, is he saying that they have something without saying it? Surely they at least must have access to internal prototypes and such even of they are not completely involved.
In hindsight, I'm glad Zelda is getting all the attention, it guarantees that the NX is getting a killer app right at launch. It will entice many that skipped the Wii U hopefully.
I see it. It's Zelda does open world. I will say a lot of comments I've seen say "take zelda out of the name and it's just like any open world game" but the feel is different. The art direction, the background audio, and emotive elements even interaction with the environment seems well thought of. Striking flint to make a fire, chopping trees to make bridges, physics based puzzles, a lot of the things I saw other games do not do. It encourages environmental experimentation. Even if it was just fallout with a zelda skin, I'd still play the game because it's ******* zelda.
@Ephidel - Please don't partially censor profanity. Preferably, please avoid it altogether, as per the Community Rules. Thanks.
@CreamyDream I agree up until the hope it flops part. It's a gamble, I helped fund Shovel Knight and I don't regret it, it was very much worth the investment. Now MN9, being Keiji Inafune trying to fill the void for Megaman a lot of people thought it was win-win, until a publisher got involved that's when things got hairy; it was shady business. Ultimately it's a gamble. It paid off with Shovel Knight. I just hope it pays for Bloodstained and Yooka-Laylee. Besides kickstarters are probably the best way to play game styles that have come and gone, and give them a decent budget to provide enough features.
This actually looks very interesting. Art style aside (the big heads and tiny bodies don't do it for me) the mechanics are there. I am not disappointed, it's a spin-off meant to cast a wider net, it may be canon, but it isn't meant to be a flagship Metroid. My guess is that, the game itself, is trying to expand the universe as well as a way of prepping for a NeXt Metroid.
Ummmm... I don't notice it often; In fact, I notice it more during splatfests which are region based. I do experience lag but it's not often. It's not as bad as say Destiny lag. While these might be valid complaints...meh, I'm not having issues winning.
@MikeW might be another month before all planned content is out. There's still quite a few weapons coming out, one more mode, and I believe another stage. Then August there's going to be a major update with more matchmaking options and team matches. Then of course they still want to support the game so more dlc is likely, I just don't know if it'll be free. So in short you might have to wait a month or so. The game has grown quite a bit, over 1 million copies sold worldwide and it keeps growing, and with all the new weapons it'll take some grinding to be able to purchase them all. The slow rollout has allowed for easier mastery of the game, I feel the rust building from missing just a couple of days play.
It's wise to not compete with them. Most console wars focus on the PS4 vs X1, if Nintendo can play this right then most cosumers will be dual wielders. I like pretty graphics, but I love the gameplay Nintendo provides, I will always have my Nintendo console first and worry about the latest and greatest later. In fact I should've waited to adopt the PS4, but hindsight is 20/20
I think Nintendo knows they can't compete. Simply put, third party publishers won't publish the same kind of games on Nintendo platforms than on their competitors. Looks at how much support the 3ds is receiving from these western publishers and developers even though it has the biggest install base. So Nintendo should do something different, 3rd parties can't compete with Nintendo. The other side is if it tries to directly compete, it would surely die. I see Nintendo as a playful, modest company more fit for adults that havent abandoned the inner child. It's not flashy, it's not loud, and it's something that personally I appreciate. While I would love to see Xenoblade X with PS4 or even PC graphical quality, but I've played Xenoblade Chronicles 3 times and I can't play FFXIII a second time. I've more games on Wii U than PS4. If the NX is a cross concept, I would be interested to see how it will fit with QOL, 3DS, Wii U and Mobile. 2016 will be interesting and disappointing for some. Even with disappointment it will be a day one for me. Even for 4 or 5 games.
I've seen some people destroy with the inkbrush, but with that said, I worry when there is more than one in my team. All the weapons and perks have their fair uses, it really just depends on the mode you play on.
It's not all nintendo's fault. They came to retailers and asked how many figures. Most thought there wouldnt be demand so accordingly Nintendo planned for the demand as requested by retailers. This came from convesartions I had with the management in numerous retailers. The demand for infinty was there from the beginning, and realeasin in more than one platform gives them more reason for higher stock. The othwr thing is that these figures are not nearly as collectible.
I love my amiibo, but to be honest I think I went overboard and bought into it too early. The collector in me wants them all, but I can't buy all of them 48 characters is a lot of money, so I think after spending on most of the first wave I'll be more picky. As far as amiibo and smash go, I enjoy them, I picked up different tactics because of them good training tools. I am also building some kind of relationship with them, I care enough to name them after mythical characters based on their characteristics.

Even if it was just fallout with a zelda skin, I'd still play the game because it's ******* zelda.

Re: Inti Creates CEO Takuya Aizu Really Doesn't Like The New Mighty No. 9 Trailer
Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force is Coming Sooner Than Expected
This actually looks very interesting. Art style aside (the big heads and tiny bodies don't do it for me) the mechanics are there. I am not disappointed, it's a spin-off meant to cast a wider net, it may be canon, but it isn't meant to be a flagship Metroid. My guess is that, the game itself, is trying to expand the universe as well as a way of prepping for a NeXt Metroid.
Re: Some Western Splatoon Players Would Prefer Not To Compete With Japan
Ummmm... I don't notice it often; In fact, I notice it more during splatfests which are region based. I do experience lag but it's not often. It's not as bad as say Destiny lag. While these might be valid complaints...meh, I'm not having issues winning.
Re: N-ZAP89 and Octobrush Weapons are Next Up in Splatoon Update
Re: Rumour: Nintendo NX Won't Be As Powerful As PlayStation 4
It's wise to not compete with them. Most console wars focus on the PS4 vs X1, if Nintendo can play this right then most cosumers will be dual wielders. I like pretty graphics, but I love the gameplay Nintendo provides, I will always have my Nintendo console first and worry about the latest and greatest later. In fact I should've waited to adopt the PS4, but hindsight is 20/20
Re: Rumour: Nintendo NX Won't Be As Powerful As PlayStation 4
Re: Splatoon is Still Number One in Japan as Wii U Sales Increase Again
I'm happy for Splatoon! It's doing well in the US too, my local Best Buy sold out, which really doesnt happen too often.
Re: Video: Who Needs a New Sonic Game When You Have Splatoon's Inkbrush?
I've seen some people destroy with the inkbrush, but with that said, I worry when there is more than one in my team. All the weapons and perks have their fair uses, it really just depends on the mode you play on.
Re: Disney Infinity Producer Brands amiibo Stock Shortages "Irresponsible And Rude"
Re: Parent Trap: amiibo Packs a Hidden Family Payload
I love my amiibo, but to be honest I think I went overboard and bought into it too early. The collector in me wants them all, but I can't buy all of them 48 characters is a lot of money, so I think after spending on most of the first wave I'll be more picky. As far as amiibo and smash go, I enjoy them, I picked up different tactics because of them good training tools. I am also building some kind of relationship with them, I care enough to name them after mythical characters based on their characteristics.
