Dotemu and Lizardcube, the teams behind the upcoming Streets of Rage 4, have shared a brand new trailer showing off some exciting co-op reveals and even the final playable character. Ooer.

Let's kick things off with this co-op news. The new game will support two-player co-op online, and for the first time in the series, up to four players can team up in local play when it launches this spring. You can see this in action in the video above.

The new and final character is Floyd, who's set to dish out some serious damage with his incredibly strong cybernetic arms. Although Floyd’s movement and health recovery are slower than most, he boasts the longest reach among the playable roster and an awful lot of power, ensuring any combo he puts an enemy through will be devastating.

Before we go, we'll leave you with this recap of what the game's all about - as well as a reminder to check out the gorgeous art and gameplay footage shared recently:

Streets of Rage 4 reunites Axel, Blaze, and Adam for the first mainline Streets of Rage game in more than 25 years. The highly anticipated sequel embodies the classic trilogy’s gritty, neon-streaked urban atmosphere in a fully original experience boasting a strikingly fluid hand-drawn art style. New skull-cracking playable characters, expanded combat abilities, and a pulsing soundtrack from an all-star lineup including series composers Yūzō Koshiro (Streets of Rage 1, 2, & 3, Sonic the Hedgehog) and Motohiro Kawashima (Streets of Rage 2 & 3, Shinobi II) make Streets of Rage 4 an all-out brawl of a lifetime.
