Perhaps literally every Gerudo man born ends up being an easy vessel for the same evil... Which might explain why they’ve stopped raising them to become kings in “modern times”….

My first Zelda game was Ocarina of Time, so that one.

It’s interesting how the one in this game seems to parallel that one. With events in the past that feel very much like they’re meant to be reminiscent of the events from ocarina of time.

They all have their charms.

The og has fun, easy, glitches that make it a lot of fun to experiment with.

The game boy color has the photo side quest.

And the Switch version has many useful updates and features, plus a little extra content.

@neufel @Tharsman yeah, what better way to have the look and feel of the authentic thing, than using the shell and buttons of the real thing.

This also can give new life to an old broken controller, it’s pretty cool.

Edit: there. Preordered. It’s coming directly from China so I probably won’t see it in like a year, but it’ll be worth the wait since, evidently, Nintendo doesn’t want me to have one of their wireless N64 controllers, and the last imitation controller I got was really bad.

Oooh I actually have an old controller with broken joystick, so I’m definitely interested in this.

@Ryu_Niiyama I do really like how many places have sources or equivalent spots in the depths.

A really cool detail is how all the hot springs in Hebra have volcanic activity underneath.

It’s a little weird how they completely tore down the Shrine of Resurrection. It felt almost slightly disrespectful, with it being such an important place in Breath of the Wild.

Unless it was the new inhabitants who did it, in which case, point taken.

I remember Harvest Moon Seeds of Memories being announced for WiiU, but I don’t think it ever actually came out. I still rated it though, because I have it for mobile, but perhaps you could consider removing it….?

@Wild_Silvally_Dreams well this is a blast from the past! Glad you also enjoyed these games. My favorites would have to be shark and penguins. The horses one also had fun mini games.

@Anti-Matter @ComfyAko the girls in the backgrounds of the pictures look very much like updated interpretations of female main characters from previous games as well (Sara, Claire, and Holly), so these are likely just all examples of player characters.

The person brushing the cow is a little hard to make out, but I think I see them wearing a hat and blue overalls, so it might be supposed to look like Pete?

@TeaCatherine it's just a tiny house with a hole in a corner. where a ghostly hand resides, so we could say it's supposed to be an outhouse. However nothing in the game really designates it as such.

I think it still takes place after Skyward Sword. The original Zelda from that never really showed interest in starting a kingdom, so it wasn’t until her descendant Sonia married Rauru that they founded Hyrule.

So that puts the ancient history in this game somewhere between SS and Minish Cap... Probably closer to SS though.

And of course, that would mean there were always two Master Swords going around at the same time for millennia.

@marsbitrona it’s not so rare when you consider Age of Calamity has canon elements, and was made in close partnership with the Zelda team. Of course they would want to keep the character designs consistent.

The Age of Calamity design was based on a concept art of Purah they made for BotW, too.

For those curious about how long it’s been since BotW, her diary says she aged herself up artificially so her present looks are not a good way to judge it. The time skip was probably about 5 years tops, given the existence of a certain child.
