@TeaCatherine it's just a tiny house with a hole in a corner. where a ghostly hand resides, so we could say it's supposed to be an outhouse. However nothing in the game really designates it as such.
I think it still takes place after Skyward Sword. The original Zelda from that never really showed interest in starting a kingdom, so it wasn’t until her descendant Sonia married Rauru that they founded Hyrule.
So that puts the ancient history in this game somewhere between SS and Minish Cap... Probably closer to SS though.
And of course, that would mean there were always two Master Swords going around at the same time for millennia.
@marsbitrona it’s not so rare when you consider Age of Calamity has canon elements, and was made in close partnership with the Zelda team. Of course they would want to keep the character designs consistent.
The Age of Calamity design was based on a concept art of Purah they made for BotW, too.
For those curious about how long it’s been since BotW, her diary says she aged herself up artificially so her present looks are not a good way to judge it. The time skip was probably about 5 years tops, given the existence of a certain child.
@OFFICIALMichi to be fair, there's some games in the series that imply Pokemon don't just come out to everyone, only to those they find worthy, and our characters just happen to be so good and pure that every Pokemon wants to join us.
@rjejr due to the way terrain is generated, you may already notice how existing caves in BotW seem more tacked on to the world instead of being part of it. I can definitely see how building an extensive underground system would’ve been difficult to to accomplish in time.
I was on a Game and Watch kick a little while ago, I really wish I had a few actual real G&W units.
A new collection would be nice, or another entry in their new “color screen” series too. The Zelda model is actually my favorite way to play TLoZ, though I’m not sure there’s any other NES games that I would want to buy a specific handheld device for.
But what I truly want, is re-releases of the original hardware.
@Themagusx1 huh. This would be a weird counterpoint to that, since technically that would make any and every piece of media that has been dubbed to different languages “diverse”.
Like, it’s a given fact that movies dubbed to different languages will be dubbed using different people.
As a bit of a contradicting fun fact, for The Lorax, Danny DeVito voiced his character in Spanish too (and a few other languages as well!). He did it without being a fluent speaker by reading phonetical translations, which gives him a fairly unique sound.
@Rayquaza2510 yeah the pricing is weird. With FS20 at least you could say it’s because it’s also a retail release, but I haven’t been able to find any physical preorders available for this version.
On the flip side though, based on my own experience with both versions of FS20, the game on the Switch seems better optimized. On iOS, it feels like my fairly up-to-date iphone and ipad skip frames even on the lowest settings, while the Switch plays it with no hiccups at all.
It’s one of those rare NES games that still hold up fairly well, and can be enjoyed as games on their own right.
That said, I don’t think a remake would be able to get far enough into development without becoming a new game midway through. It’s just so, huh, basic that any attempt to modernize it will change too much.

Ah yes, the iconic duo, Umbreon and Leafeon. Can’t have one without the other.

@Bret now now let's not assume. They perhaps had to write a letter.

@Scooby-Doo and debatably in Oracle of Ages, too.

The red glasses have always been there.

@Tyranexx in my very first interaction with him, he let the sign fall on Epona, who then proceeded to kick me off her back.

We must support and protect Addison at all costs.
Even if it means surrounding him with boulders.

@OFFICIALMichi duh, the other evil teams, of course

Re: The Master Ball Is Coming To Pokémon GO Next Week
@Aerona @Greatluigi @Joeynator3000 yeah in Let’s Go using it actually starts a cutscene, it doesn't let you fail.
It wouldn’t be surprised if they do that here too.
Re: The Super Mario Bros. Movie Breaks More Box Office Records Around The World
What can I say, we like fun movies.
But, Madre mía, that’s a lot of people going to the cinema.

Cool concept. They should make a movie franchise out of it.

@Serpenterror huh and what did the luigi voice actor say that needs shutting up?

It looks like a good improvement over the last one

Funny enough, about 20 years ago, Pokemon ruined my Gameshark
Made it blow up by battling Professor Oak

Oh that’s a shame, his work while at Nintendo was quite iconic. Here’s hoping he continues doing well.

is it yellow and white, or blue and black
Re: Samba De Amigo: Party Central's Song List Has Ariana Grande Headlining
Looks like a nice selection of pop music and salsa/samba style songs.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Final Fantasy IV (DS)
@Tasuki true it is a metallic logo. However the European one somehow became the most recognizable one of the bunch.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Final Fantasy IV (DS)
As much as I respect Amano’s art style, I have to admit I’ve never really “liked liked” it. The European one wins this one for me.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The New Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Font?
It’s the better option. Though it can be small at times.
Re: Community: 22 Switch Games We Missed, As Recommended By You
Thanks for including my suggestion 🙇🏻♂️
These have been great to read!
Re: Poll: Which Was Your First 'Final Fantasy'?
My first was Dawn of Souls on the GBA!
I really loved having the music player.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Professor Layton And The Curious Village
It’s kinda like the opposite of the Zelda covers. There America gets the classy monochrome covers, and Europe gets the fancy character art.
Re: Quiz: Can You Guess Which Game Industry Figures Said These Quotes?
7/14!
Got lucky with the last one.
Re: Random: Of Course People Are Thirsty For Ganondorf In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
@Not_Soos I don't quite see the TP, but he looks a lot like the design from WW to me.
Perhaps like a combination off all three major designs? It’s fitting I suppose, considering they’re all the same person.
Re: Random: Of Course People Are Thirsty For Ganondorf In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
They did hydrate him after all
