@Greatluigi the encounters are actually not random. Or at least they didn’t seem to be in my two playthroughs. Same places, same enemies.

Only one comes to mind that was a repeatable encounter, but it is easy to avoid entirely (the center of the library). Several of the battles can be avoided, so I suppose you can make an optimal route.

@ComfyAko enemy encounters are scripted, and many of them are entirely optional, so you can figure out which places can be avoided and save ammo.

Also, if you are in an encounter that also spawns ammo, then leave at least one of the easier enemies alive to collect extras.

The crossbow is also somewhat easy to miss, and it does help a lot in the harder encounters.

The game is very short, and it has no random elements, so you can easily start a fresh file if you feel you’re stuck. (And if you waste too much ammo by accident… the rewind feature is your friend!)

Its a quick play. And strangely relaxed, so yeah it’s a nice one to play at least once

@Sinton yes you need to play until the game gives you access to the world map in order to buy any dlc.

Just bought the path I was missing some days ago. Still debating on if I should get any of the other dlc maps.

I’m so happy Wario Land 3 is one of the “launch” titles, it’s one of favorite Game Boy games. Such a fun game!

I find the game plays fine using the Kissy control scheme; as long as you don’t try to manually aim for everything, the auto aim feature works well enough.

@fatleon5 that depends. Most people online will say good things about the game, however it’s also one of the more experimental entries in the series. So it might be a bit of an acquired taste kind of thing.

I think it’s worth mentioning, although I’m not sure if they ever changed their version after I read this in their official tumblr back in the day, but Marvelous never actually approached Natsume or made any attempt to acquire or continue using the “Harvest Moon” name, and they also stated they’d have no problems with Marvelous using their localized names for the legacy characters, Marvelous has simply decided not to on their own accord.

Just adding it since some people online seem to be under the impression that Natsume kept the names purely out of sheer spite or “stole” them.

I got a few while I was on vacation. Managed to get a Peach, Mario in a pipe, and Luma.

I did love the "cut out and build" type of toy when I was a kid though, so I would honestly consider those as well if they were available here.

@HammerGalladeBro the first one seems to depict a pair of newly wed people moving into a new house, then it goes to them having their first baby, and then it makes a hyper jump to them being a somewhat older couple. I’d say maybe it goes from like mid 20’s, to early 30’s to late 50’s?

@Ryu_Niiyama the AWL cows are still pretty cute. Though we have to admit the cows introduced in the 3DS games are kinda ugly.

@inactive as mentioned before, the remake is using the same cow design as the original AWL. It IS retaining the original aesthetic.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika some of the charm was definitely ironed out with the remake. Perhaps the low res helped the original though?

@somebread @JayJ makes more sense in-game, since it’s made clear the professors are just really, REALLY, into their respective area of study (past and future).

So it’s kinda like cosplay for them.
