I wonder how long it'll take before any of Nintendo's own releases 'break the Eshop' I'm guessing a very loooong time, if ever.

I know complete craziness, makes you actually want to go and buy a video game! if other companies can do it why can't Nintendo.

Well duh what an effin' surprise, people like physical more than they like digital (key cards incl) Will it make any difference to Nintendo nah will it heck!

What the hell is Nintendo doing, are they really so scared of leaks! you know this company has become so stupid lately.. yet another reason to 'love' the Switch 2.

I still cannot logically see how anyone can defend game key cards, They are still as ludicrously priced as the cartridge games are, you still have to physically swap them in your machine yet you are obligated to give up a chunk of your storage to just get them to work, much better to go digital only, at least then you have them all on your machine, whopee doo you can still sell them on if you wish, but who the f*** is going to want to buy a second hand key card!

Good to have something more, playable, but I'll believe the 2025 launch date when I see it.

Expect.. very little, especially brand new stuff.

The music sounds really good, the jury's still out on the gameplay.

I do hope that this isn't going to be a trend with more 3rd parties going forward.

I don't want to get all Bananza'd out so I'm going to limit my play time with that but I was wondering whether or not to get Hollow Knight as I've never played it and everyone says what a good Metroidvania style game it is however I've heard that it's sequel Silksong is dropping soon so I'm wondering if the first one was still worth it.

That was my thoughts on seeing this, if we did have similar gameplay, color me interested too.

Good to know that it's overall great, hopefully those performance hiccups can be patched out in the future.
Digital Foundry have reviewed, pick out it's graphical flaws but overall give it a thumbs up.

Don't know, I do know however that I won't be buying one here in the UK until they've seen a dramatic price decrease. £100 less and you'd maybe have a sale, but anything else forget it!

Yeah OK then.. £349.99 for a 1TB 'storage card' who the hell is gonna pay that! I mean c'mon are they seriously expecting people to buy them at that price you'd have to be completely ding-a-ling!

Hopefully this can fix all the issues I've been having with the console, the disappearing games being the main one.

I'll say that from what I've experienced so far with the game I don't think that it's going to affect me enjoying it that much.
I do think however that Nintendo already having problems with one of its AAA games doesn't bode well for the machine.. not enough power or lack of optimization which is it Nintendo, all in all not a good look at all.

God of War Ranarok (again) and still getting absolutely hammered by the game, waiting eagerly for Donkey Kong Bananza, hoping it's going to be more lenient with me but not too easy.
EDIT: been trying to play red dead redemption 2 but am completely obliterated by the game.. man my gaming 'skills' need a complete rehash god knows how bad I'll be at Metroid Prime 4.

That's funny I thought mine was good.. maybe time will prove me wrong with some stick drift.

Like I've said many times before you're never EVER going to completely stop piracy there's always gonna be people wanting to play free games or run consoles on hardware they weren't designed for. Nintendo just has to find a way to mitigate this behaviour and not be so goddam bombastic about it all and hurt the general consumers, if your not sure what I mean by this read up on the current legal wranglings going on in Brazil v Nintendo atm.

I wouldn't say it's slow but mine's a bit sluggish over wifi generally having downloaded Fast Fusion, the 2 LOZ upgrades and more recently DK Bananza and they've all took longer than I would have expected with Bananza taking around 45min to download this morning.

I know this is supposed to be a really good port, but I can't see myself paying for the Switch 2 version, especially since I have the game already on PC and I don't play the Switch 2 in handheld mode.. hey ho.

I might give this a try as I was always enamoured with the original, as others have already said you never bought it if shooting mechanics were what floated your boat as it was always more about the story, the exploration, the puzzle solving and the general ambience of the game that made it what it was.

I'm still a bit meh meh' it's OK about mine, was very underwhelmed with MKW and still have some problems with the console, Switch Online not working properly and games just randomly disappearing from the home screen (hopefully they can all be fixed with patches soon)
Maybe I'll come to love it when we have a few more Nintendo games for it.. but for now I'd just say it was average at best.

Not too bothered about Perfect Dark but would absolutely love to see a new Banjo-Kazooie, adored that series back in it's day, and another one would be absolute heaven for me, I literally wouldn't be able to get my money out quick enough but sadly now it's under the shadow of Microsoft that's very unlikely unless they sold it on to Nintendo and they could probably do something magical with it.. Ahh dreams, it's what keeps us going!

No Switch 2, will mostly be playing God of War - Ragnarok on PC I think.

Not much, possibly around 3hrs just a little underwhelmed by it tbh.

What do people not understand, you're never EVER going to completely stop piracy it's been going on since the days of yore and will continue long after the Switch 2 is all done and dusted, there's always gonna be people wanting to play free games and will find ways of doing it no matter the cost, all that's going to happen is the hackers finding even cleverer ways around all the security, Switch 2 emulation anyone.. can't wait until all the furore about that one kicks off It'll be like a theme park for all the Nintendo junkies out there!
But anyways back to my main point all that Nintendo can possibly do is take steps in order to mitigate/discourage misuse of the machine without being so bombastic about it all and hurting the innocent consumers.

That fact is that not everyone that is wanting to mess around with their consoles is a 'pirate' you will get it sure, you will never completely obliterate piracy, but this heavy handiness by Nintendo was bound to turn around and bite them in the ass sooner or later (surprised it has taken this long actually)
Will definitely be keeping a close eye to see how this one plays out.

Exactly, as I've already mentioned this should have been the launch game and not MKW.

We don't know that there's any to get 'excited' for except for DK Bananza and MP4 Beyond I'll bet that all of Switch 2's major Nintendo releases are still years off, I'm not interested in playing third party ports we've all seen and played before on better hardware.

Think I'll be leaving the Switch 2 alone although might jump into some BOTW for a while.
Mostly playing Oblivion remastered I think.

Looks kinda fun, not so sure about the art style though.. am missing a good beat em' up at the moment so will probably give this a look when it drops.

Yep, awesome memories for me too.. just got back into playing Wind Waker and am already stuck on Forsaken Fortress! guess I'll just be resulting to a few walkthroughs then.

Hopefully these will patch out the terrible time I'm having with certain Nintendo classics not downloading and weird issues with all games disappearing from the home screen after exiting the eShop.

Like I've said before there's no way to fully stop piracy, prevent people from playing backups or just messing around with their consoles a bit.
The only thing the potential bricking of the Switch 2 is going to 'achieve' for Nintendo is to exacerbate the furore with witch all those very clever hackers out there come after the Switch 2 and a full on jailbreak for the console is an absolute inevitability as a result.
The only thing Nintendo can possibly do here is to take some very cautious steps that don't pose any threat to the general consumer in order to mitigate any unwanted nefarious behaviour with it's hardware.
