Re: Opinion: It's Time To Get Rid Of Fall Damage

Dhaladog

I agree with what many others here have said, that it's totally game dependent, but do think that having to safely navigate your way from one area to another is a huge part of the fun for me in games and having no consequence to taking any fall damage would vastly negate my enjoyment of the experience, can you imagine botw or totk with no fall damage, it would completely destroy the adventure.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th April)

Metroid Prime Remastered (again!) & Luigi's Mansion 3 as I never really got very far with that one also trying to play Doom Eternal but keep getting absolutely hammered by the game difficulty (got to face it I just ain't any good at first person shooters anymore) been watching my sister play Horizon - Forbidden West CE on my rig as she's much better at the bosses than me.

@LastFootnote Well I've pre-ordered it, found one a little bit cheaper than all the main shops are offering it at. I too am hoping that it's not considered a budget title and we have plenty of gameplay here, now it looks like they've set the pricing precedent at £80 for all it's premium first party content.

Re: Some Fans Are Drawing Unfavourable Comparisons Between Switch 2 And Xbox One

Dhaladog

As far as Switch 2 goes I have bought one along with a physical copy of MKW it's console price is reasonable it's games prices not so, don't know how many first party titles I'll be buying (not really interested in all the third party stuff apart from the exclusives) if Nintendo is not careful here it could find it is pricing itself out of the market after all the launch hype for Switch 2 has died down and I'm not just talking about all the Nintendo junkies out there who would buy anything at any price with that red logo on the box, more your casual user like me that simply can't/wont be buying one until the game prices reduce, as for his speech it was pure nonsense talking of the original Switch support... yeah, yeah, yeah.

Re: Switch 2 Game-Key Cards Aren't Tied To Nintendo Accounts

Dhaladog

Game cartridges all the way for me, this isn't good for those not wanting their empty cartridge in the console or tied to the eShop the ability for Nintendo to simply remove or block the game is also there. Guess we're just gonna have to bite the bullet and shell out the extra cash for physical game media.
