@Davzilla Well, we missed the chance for a futuristic look when chaos won the last splatfest. The game's plot follow the last splatfest results, though it seems more drastic here.

@nitrolink Yeah, I kind of agree with that. It seems weird having the sequel on the same console for this kind of game, but then again, Splatoon 2 will be 5 years old by 2022. It makes sense for Nintendo to try to capitalize on all the fans that already own a Switch and the game, especially if sales have slowed down.

@Dethmunk Based on previous experiences. Movie studios adapted video games to movies before and most of them were hilariously bad. They did stop eventually, but now with these movies coming out I just wondered if it's going to be the same.

@nitrolink Maybe verticality? It seems we can jump higher from the ink , so that may add a layer to the gameplay. Also, we saw how some inklings were holding onto the ceiling (presumably), so we might also be able to do that on the stages (jump to a grid-like ceiling, grab it and shoot from there or going through some grids on the floor and holding onto them, for example).

With this and the MH movie coming, are we back to terrible video game movie adaptations?

It would be nice to see previous stages affected by chaos.

I feel 3 Zelda games in a year is just too far fetched (and I'm not including Age of Calamity DLC). Yeah, we got the Mario Collection, but it was all in a single game. It would be weird if they were released separately at $60 each. Maybe down the drain they'll port them, but I feel that it's just too much for a single year.

@gloom Splatoon was released on 2015. Splatoon 2 was released on 2017. Splatoon 2 will be around longer than the first game.

According to Nintendo, my most played game was "We have bad news for you. This is only open to non-supervised Nintendo Accounts registered in the U.S. and Canada. It looks like your Nintendo Account is getting tripped up somewhere along these lines" or something like that. Figures.

Nintendo will never have an official Smash Circuit just because they don't want to. Not because the scandals or anything, just because they don't want to. They only want people to compete over nothing to get more people to buy more games. That's it.

And sure, the scandal from back then should not be ignored. IIRC, some of them are still being worked on, so there's that (last one I read was about Nairo having evidence that those claims were twisted to make him look the abuser).

Besides that, the community can't do anything more than what they already did IMO. The rest must be done by the indicated justice system (if the alleged victims really want to) instead of them getting lynched by the community.

This is why they should add native voice chat, so you don't have to keep your phone right next to you.

@KingMike It uses a modified version of the game. The original doesn't have any online functionality, which is why Nintendo isn't ok with this (or at least that was the excuse).

This game is just awesome.

Unlike Wind Waker, will never change the mind of people since they failed to live up to the name. The lower overall quality and polish is ridiculous, and even more when you consider all the missing content and all the money that you have to throw in order to get the "full" experience. I just hope we can get someday a proper Pokemon experience again.

I'm happy they got a new office. If they are close to Nintendo, I hope that means that they can have support from them easily during development. Anything that helps them deliver the best they can.

Both are good, but keep 3D Zelda games coming.

The problem with this, is that people that have a living dex (with shinies and whatnot) and made the mistake to put them all in Home, then they are stuck in there without any way to bringing them out if you want to stop your subscription. You are forced to keep paying if you want to have them since, AFAIK, you can't transfer pokemon from home back to bank and then move them to Gen VII. TPC made a ransomware out of Pokemon Home.
