Cloud gaming might be the future, but not at that price. I bet most people would gladly pay for a subscription if it means they have access to a lot of games. Netflix found success that way and many other streaming media services did too. I only hope third party don't continue this trend for cloud versions of games with a premium price tag on the side.
Masuda only tried to warn us. It was on their best interest that no one knew about dexit, but he still told everyone about it and took the bullet for it. TPC/Ishihara is the real cancer of the Pokemon Franchise.
@Henmii It could, but since it wasn't even addressed in BotW, I really doubt they will do that. Maybe as bonus in other game modes, but during the main campaing it would feel like a stretch.
@russell-marlow But they don't really wait. Of course, normal enemies don't act that much, but stronger enemies usually attack your bases and make your troops flee. In harder difficulties you require to manage several characters to stop them, especially when stronger enemies appear.
@Henmii I believe I saw a young Impa in the trailer (or at least the character looked like a Sheikah), so I believe we can expect more characters. That said, the roster will be way smaller than the one is the original HW.
@russell-marlow Well, yeah, but IIRC, you can adjust the difficulty and that way you would need more tools and planning to win. I remember there were some difficult missions in the game.
@PaisanoJake How on earth did you end up getting that conclusion? I was saying exactly the opposite. And of course I'm not mad about that. Six super sea snails isn't that much of a difference.
@abbyhitter The thing is, the w-l ratio doesn't matter, or well, it doesn't matter that much. Clout is how they determine who wins. If you win your matches with 51%, but then lose with 25%, at the end of the day you are getting less clout.
I got a lot of egg v egg matches, so there's that. My final score against egg was 20-16. It wasn't great, but I couldn't help it. My NAT type is pretty terrible, so getting matches was a headache (over 15 minutes wait between matches). I couldn't even get a match in sunday.
@PaisanoJake "this splatfest was the first time I played and won a 100x battle (which was sweet) but this never would have have happened if I would've been on team egg. moral of the story: you need skills in a kids game to determine the legitimate facts."
If we ever get SS again, I hope they rework most of the game. The pacing is really weird, and revisiting the same places would be great if everything was connected.
Far too early for a new generation and I don't think they will launch full on remake (not the Let's Go crap) to compete with the Sw&Sh DLC, so it might be boring as hell. Perhaps they'll show the new Detective Pikachu game for the Switch, maybe Pokemon Sleep and some random thing at the end.
@TrainerX493 I saved 60$ and gave Animal Crossing a try. I've been playing it everyday since march, much more that I would've played Sword, so yeah, I'm happy with my decision.
@locky-mavo It seem we just have different opinions on the matter. It ended working out for him, and we have the people behind sonic mania as another success case, so I don't really think that there's one and only way to make it into the industry.
@Impaler-D Some people just don't want to make a career out of it, at least initially. Yatch Club wanted to, so that's why they had to make something new to be able to seek finance support with Kickstarter. Milton just wanted to play Metroid II with the same physics/engine that MZM had, so he just did it. He was a sound technician back then, so perhaps this was just something that started as a hobby.
@Maschinenmensch Beats me. The original links have been dead for some years now, but it seems that @Brady1138 managed to find a source. Perhaps you should try to PM him somehow and ask for it.
@locky-mavo First of all, that's very rude. He didn't do it because he wanted to be famous, get money or because he "couldn’t come up with an original idea, so he took Nintendo’s". He said, and I quote: "I always wanted to play the game (Metroid II) with the graphics and physics of Metroid Zero Mission. So, I decided my next game would be a remake". That was his reason for expending over 8 years developing it. He accomplished it and that's all that matters.
@Maschinenmensch But he completed it. AM2R was available for a couple of days before the takedown. He only worked on bug fixes, balancing and QoL updates after that.
Since I followed his blog, I knew about this for a couple of years now . I'm happy for him, this is the least he deserved after developing AM2R almost all by himself (People at Nintendo are out of their minds for not hiring him for future Metroid projects. IMO, AM2R is superior than MSR).
It is a nice option to have. Not everyone would double dip, but it is great they have put in the effort. I know I would if there was cross-save with the PS4 version.
@PickledKong64 Yes, it looks like you care, at least enough for you to reply to his and my comments. And yes, there are other notable 2D platformers back in 2015, but one thing that has remained consistent over the last 30 years is that NSMB3 is almost always near the top spots in most rankings. It isn't weird that some may consider it the best 2D platformer IMO.
I think I will repeat my strategy and wait until the release of the first fighter of this second pass. There's no reason to buy it at the moment in my opinion.
He loves games, so I'm not surprised he enjoys them in different platforms. What surprises me is that he played at least one 242 games in a single year, and that without counting Switch and PC games. That's almost a day and a half for each one (again, only PS4!). Sakurai is not human.
Byleth seems great, but its timing couldn't been worse. If he was the second or third DLC character (even fourth), the negativity around him wouldn't be like this. Hopefully this reception doesn't change any future plans regarding the next six DLC characters.

Re: PSA: Use A Wired Connection When Playing Smash Bros. Ultimate Online
Real talk. Which adapter is worth getting? I've seen some bad reviews about the hori's adapter.
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield 'Battle of Legends' Online Competition Announced
@IronMan30 Called it.
Re: Minecraft's Steve Revealed As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Next DLC Fighter
At least it wasn't fortnite.

Re: Anniversary: Pokémon Black And White Are Now 10 Years Old
My favorite of the bunch. If we ever get a remake, I really hope they don't ruin it.

Re: Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase Appears Out Of Nowhere, Watch It Here
Nintendo could aswell just post a pic of BotW 2 instead of this direct and everyone would be hyped as hell.

Didn't they send this render in an email featuring games to enjoy during the summer?
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Has Sold More Copies Than The Entire Metroid Franchise
Thanks for the reminder...
Re: Super Mario Sunshine Is Now 18 Years Old
I've never owned the game so I never got the chance to play it to completion. I really hope it gets some remaster treatment in a near future.
Re: Series Producer Suggests Metroid Prime 4 'Won't Ignore Casual Players'
I hope he's refering to the difficulty modes that are available in MP3 and MPT and not the design of the whole game.
Re: Random: The Pokémon Company Re-Uploads Its Pokémon Unite Videos, And Fans Aren't Happy
Thanks for the heads up. I need to dislike those again.
Re: Random: Something's Really Not Right With That Pokémon Unite Promo Image
Hey, at least they didn't leave a mouse cursor in the screen this time.

Re: Video: See Pokémon Red And Blue's Opening Reimagined In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Lowkey I would play an Animal Crossing RPG. It could be an in house alternative for Pokemon. And that tackle animation, it made me jump every time.

I would be happy with Dark Souls 3.

I wonder if we'll ever get the production cost of SwSh. Perhaps they were cheaper to make given all the reused assets and cut content.
Re: Poll: Splatoon 2's Splatfest Takes Place This Weekend - Are You Siding With Team Mayo Or Team Ketchup?
I didn't like any of them at first, but ketchup has grown on me lately, so I went with Marina's team.
Re: Dark Souls Series Has Now Sold Over 27 Million Copies Worldwide, FromSoftware Confirms
@FredsBodyDouble DS2 uses a different engine IIRC, but don't quote me on that. That's why its development was a little troubled.
Re: Dark Souls Series Has Now Sold Over 27 Million Copies Worldwide, FromSoftware Confirms
DS3 would be great for Switch, but it has been almost 2 years since DSR released, so I guess it just isn't in their plans.
Re: Random: Cadence Of Hyrule Guitarist Jokingly Petitions For Time Travel Cheater Stamp In Animal Crossing
I mean, anyone can play the game however they want, but I wouldn't mind a stamp like for such players.

Re: Random: Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Easter Bunny Really Doesn't Like His Job
Noticed this yesterday. Didn't thought about it that much, but yeah, he seems tired.
Re: Poll: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
No. I've never been a fan of the mystery dungeon type of games. I just can't find the appeal, so I'll just ignore it.

This definitely is my favorite 2D mario game.
Just a note, this is a republished article. It seems it dates back to 2015, so keep that in mind when replying to the first 25 comments!

@PickledKong64 You were a little rough for a post made back in 2015.
