Re: Interview: "There Would Be No Control On Switch Without The Cloud," Says Remedy

Cloud gaming might be the future, but not at that price. I bet most people would gladly pay for a subscription if it means they have access to a lot of games. Netflix found success that way and many other streaming media services did too. I only hope third party don't continue this trend for cloud versions of games with a premium price tag on the side.

I got a lot of egg v egg matches, so there's that. My final score against egg was 20-16. It wasn't great, but I couldn't help it. My NAT type is pretty terrible, so getting matches was a headache (over 15 minutes wait between matches). I couldn't even get a match in sunday.

@PaisanoJake "this splatfest was the first time I played and won a 100x battle (which was sweet) but this never would have have happened if I would've been on team egg. moral of the story: you need skills in a kids game to determine the legitimate facts."

What a way to say you were carried in that game.

@Impaler-D Some people just don't want to make a career out of it, at least initially. Yatch Club wanted to, so that's why they had to make something new to be able to seek finance support with Kickstarter. Milton just wanted to play Metroid II with the same physics/engine that MZM had, so he just did it. He was a sound technician back then, so perhaps this was just something that started as a hobby.

@locky-mavo First of all, that's very rude. He didn't do it because he wanted to be famous, get money or because he "couldn’t come up with an original idea, so he took Nintendo’s". He said, and I quote: "I always wanted to play the game (Metroid II) with the graphics and physics of Metroid Zero Mission. So, I decided my next game would be a remake". That was his reason for expending over 8 years developing it. He accomplished it and that's all that matters.

@PickledKong64 Yes, it looks like you care, at least enough for you to reply to his and my comments. And yes, there are other notable 2D platformers back in 2015, but one thing that has remained consistent over the last 30 years is that NSMB3 is almost always near the top spots in most rankings. It isn't weird that some may consider it the best 2D platformer IMO.
