@GuitarAnthony the colecovision was my first console along with the 2600 expansion with donkey kong, dig dug and pacman. Christmas 83 was amazing 😀

@Oni tbh I play much more switch games on the steam deck rather than my switch

I just hope it's a lot more inventive that the leaks show it to be. If its just a switch pro I'll leave it for a bit

Really hoping for a surprise from ninendo cause a more powerful switch does nothing for me. All we'll get are ps4 and xbone ports...

It makes sense to release this on switch to attract the kid market, can't see it doing particularly well on ps5 alone...

In a lot of ways the switch is a retro console so maybe it goes by tech? For me a console is retro when you can't buy games for it anymore rendering it obsolete rather than putting a timeline on it. Tbf I'm old and my first console was the vextrex so I'm sure younger people will have a different view.

That all sounds expected if we're just getting an updated switch but I'd much rather they continued trying to innovate

@Yalloo I was playing links crossbow training the other night on emulation but with the wiimote and wii blaster, it's still a lot of fun 👍

@Woderwick is it warhammer you're painting? I tried back in the 90s but I was terrible and didnt stick with it unfortunately but always appreciate decent painters

@SpaceboyScreams to be honest they don't even have to. Yuzu was a mature emulator and runs the vast majority of games without issue so while some new games coming out may have issues it's still around and working

Doesn't really change anything, most that want it have it and those that don't have been downloading it as we type...

All about the wii this weekend. Got the steamdeck kitted out with the dolphin bar and wiimotes and playing through the catalogue

@Spider-Kev These are very small to be fair but the 3/4 scale give you the proper feel while still being light enough to move about

@RunninBlue think arcade 1up has run it's course unfortunately. I'd still like the time crisis and ridge racer machines but your right, the price is prohibitive especially in the uk where both if these are £700 each. I still don't have a cocktail though so very cool 👍

@Spider-Kev no idea what age you are but in the 80s and 90s arcades were amazing and the chance to own one more suitable for the home was a big deal. If you dont have a lot of space one of these would be fun but I love my mini home arcade and if the wife didn't reign me in Id definitely have at least one in the living room 🤣

@Darthmoogle Go for the simpsons one, it's a really easy mod to add the tmnt games on there 👍These look pretty cool but I'll have to sneak them into the house as the mrs is putting her foot down, I've 6 1ups and the at games legends machine but very rarely touch them so she says no more...🥲

@SwitchForce not sure I agree, the switch fan base seem to be particularly into the indie scene so these 'lesser' games definitely have a market and there's money to be made...

Big shout out for Openbor, has great side scrollers of pretty much that whole list. Heman and the simpsons in particular are fantastic 👍

Watched the movie the other night and it wasn't bad but the art style really doesn't do it for me, same with the animated spiderman movie

I still think the wii u was the better console of the 2. Basically equal in power but with the switch going with more of an emphasis on handheld for the kids

Maybe the uk isn't into retro gaming like so many on here...
