@JohnnyMind I never go by anyone’s reviews, especially NL or Metacritics. I always watch the trailers that come out. I don’t even watch gameplay videos because the people doing them are so annoying most the time. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with reviews, I just find them to never be accurate and of course are always biased or just outright fanboyish or against.
@Truegamer79 a Saturn is ok to own. It has over 1000 games on it with around 68 exclusives. Many of the 1000 games can be played on other consoles or other sega consoles though. For the price of it now yes it would be worth having. It failed due to many games not being released outside of Japan and the extremely high price being $100 usd + more than other consoles. Worth buying today for &1-$150 usd though.
Digital is only becoming more and more because games are incomplete and dlcs are rampant. People do not want to buy a 1/3 of a game physical and download the rest. Nintendo has it right by putting games in a sd card. They are cheap and can hold massive amounts of data. Game companies need to move to this and make all patches and dlcs download straight to the cards as well allowing people to own a true physical copy. I would be more than happy to pay an extra 10-20% more for a physical copy if this was the case.
@turnmebackwards as cards are extremely cheap especially when bought in bulk. A 128gb can easily be achieved for under $10 usd, game companies can get these for probably less than $5.
Definitely one to have in the switch. Having 4k 120fps on PS5 will do the game no justice though considering the graphics can only be upgraded so much. I am afraid this will probably make it worse to play there.
This writer clearly has no clue about gaming in the 90’s. These are not considered flaws but were just how games were. Great game and still own it physically for my 64z
@CharlieZee I have been crying about digital not being yours and the companies will take it from you eventually for years. People thought I was crazy but we are far enough along now that it is starting to happen. We will continue to see games pulled from servers in the future and many games are requiring you to log in now as it is and that number is growing. Once your required to log into something you have no control at all over it and even if you have something downloaded if your drive gives out you may find yourself with no way to redownload it after it is pulled. I buy physical any chance I get because of the safety net and resell ability.
Limited Run is suppose to be doing the actual Physical copies like they did with the anniversary collections, this is why Amazon will be selling the digital ones.
@Daniel36 yea rebirth wasn’t great for graphics but was also a cheap made game that they didn’t put a lot into which is why it was only released as Wii ware. The game was still extremely fun which is why it is accredited a 7 or better.
@Hwatt and the public fan voting doesn’t play a part in it? That’s what I am talking about.
As far as media and influencers voting I care less what they have to say. They are all bought already. I have never agreed with any of their opinions. In fact they shouldn’t even have such a huge take on it even. A few hundred or a couple thousand even people should not be the ones that decide who wins and who doesn’t.
If they really want unbiased awards they need to have a legit way of signing up and the people and people alone vote.
No one should be ok with one person have 5xs more voting power than us.
@russell-marlow I disagree. The fact that BotW already won just gives TotK even more reason to be up there. The fact that it even is shows how far we have not actually came in gaming. BG3 is good but nowhere as good as it should have been.
The game awards are worthless anymore. You vote online and sign up with an email and just like review bombing people use dozens of emails to go cast their votes. No 1 vote per person equals worthless.
@HammerKirby I completely agree there. The problem with in game content or DLC’s is that these kids do not experience other games because of this crap. They also don’t get newer better games either and just the same ole crap. I am 100% physical copy all the time. I will pay extra for it and that is fine with me. I have something that has a resale value and may even go up in value and it’s something a company cannot just take away from me. Anything digital can be yanked from us at any time.
How is this even a serious question? Nintendo has already proven that their movies and shows are not based off of any actual game. It takes elements of games and uses them for a whole new story. I am more worried about it being a pitifully horrible movie because I do not see them being able to make a good Zelda live action, animated yes but not live action and I will guarantee they will have link talk which will just ruin everything already.
@BinaryMessiah been there done that actually. The system is bulky and lacks many games on it and it is big and bulky. The controls are even worse than a PS controller is and are in no way at all ergonomic as you claim. The joysticks are located in very piss poor places. Switch beats it hands down and so does a laptop with a freaking Xbox controller and especially for the price.
In all honesty Xbox, Steam and Nintendo are the way to go. Sony has very little to offer any Ore and price gouges everyone. The other three always have sales and the online play is much cheaper and just more bang for your buck. So yes, I am ok with this.
@Giancarlothomaz the movie will be huge but will be basically no story. The franchise will survive just fine, I mean look at their first attempts of a mini series.
@OnlyManWhoCan I completely agree, the Mario Movie alone was a huge miss. It failed to touch on basically everything Mario I feel and went a whole different route. They tried to shove everything Mario into it which is what will happen to the Zelda movie. It will be a fast moving nonexistent storyline along with the way the world is today I can see it being very woke as well. Lord knows we cannot have a princess in distress like in the games. Ohh and they will probably make link talk in it which will completely ruin the movie.
In the end a live action Zelda will be just another Mario movie from the 90’s. An animated movie is the route they should have went.
Considering it is the only new Mario title released when a system had over 130 million units sold I would hope it would be.
Maybe let’s look at the breakdowns of percentage of people that owned a system that bought a new Mario game and see where it stands. Technically the Wii had 7 million units in Dec of 07 and Galaxy sold over 1.4 million copies in the first month. That’s over 20% of people buying the game.
Wonder has only sold under 2% of the number of units out there. Even if t hits 10 million by the end of the year that is still under 10% of sales per switch.
Honestly it is probably ranking as one of the least selling Mario games compared to systems sold.
@russell-marlow yep and Sony is still price gouging everyone. With the lack of content I and millions of others will not be getting the next gen PS6, bad enough my PS5 just sits there. I turn it on only to watch a movie just to make sure it still works.
@wiiware gotcha, I have the of handheld and the home system. I love them both and will be probably getting the exp sometime soon. I think you will be happy with it, it is a great alternative for the classic games.
@wiiware can’t wait for your evercade? So you don’t have one yet or you have the handheld? I myself am waiting for that Duke Nukem collection. I didn’t know about the asteborg collection. I will definitely be preordering that. Being in the states I miss some releases coming out. Thankfully I am able to preorder it on Amazon.
@wiiware it may, I believe Qubyte has some games on evercade. Me, I am willing to double dip. With the Seitch I can use my SNES controllers so I’ll get that feel of retro as well. I have them all on the original systems as well and still play them today so on the go will be a big plus also.
@Thief story and gameplay are completely different. I don’t see a kid playing TotK or BotW and beating them. They are to cast and open world to hold their attention.
Switch 2 will be backwards compatible period. The NSO will carry over as well and be expanded. I’m we are to far into the future for this to not happen and are getting closer and closer to all games going digital and being in a paid platform subscription. Gaming is going the way tv has and is very sad. I am a collector and even have all my systems hooked up but honestly I find myself not playing them (except the first three gens of Nintendo). There are just too many newer games to play and not enough time.
@Smiffy01 not at all, well at least for metroidvanias. They have been around for over 40 years now and still going strong. It really isn’t a genre that will die out just like RPG’s, FPS’s, fighting games and beat ‘em ups. All have been around 20+ years and will not be something that dies off. Meanwhile MMO’s and battle royale have died off substantially and mainly due to the online multiplayer and cash grabs they co sister of. Solo and Couch co-op still dominate due to the ease of getting into the game and being less hefty in the wallet
Honestly if you have an Xbox or PS4/5 just buy it on eBay for like 10 bucks. Until the price drops to 20 for physical I will pass on the switch version.
@GamingFan4Lyf the ps and Xbox versions are just upscaled versions. It won’t make much difference. In fact if you have the original for 360 it is the same game.
@OreoTheSprigatito you are probably the only Nintendo fan that hasn’t. This film has actually probably gotten hundreds of millions of people to watch it by now. In the 90’s gaming wasn’t as huge as it is now for one and two it still brought in over 8 million tickets at the theaters.
@Dragonite89 PS5 version isn’t even remastered or even upscaled. It is literally the PS3 version. The switch version is not cloud so shouldn’t be bottlenecked and will have full HD so it is much better graphics wise and it includes the dlc which the Ps5 and Xbox versions do not. Overall considering the price for the outdated one on PS and Xbox $50 is not a bad price for all the extras that will be there. It will also be mobile as well. Me though, I will wait for a physical version of it and for it to go to $20 bucks or the digital when it hits maybe $15. It is not worth it to me for any of the versions to pay anymore. If I will get it it will be on the switch though, I already own the 360 version that is backwards compatible so I am good on waiting.

@Kestrel not really considering you received them from digital games as well and physical isn’t in its last legs. It is very much alive.
