Ok this trailer does look better to me than the last one.. still ‘off’ to some extent though. The mega collector’s edition would be more appealing if the remake itself looked better.

The original game is still great and available on a bunch of platforms though.. for those disappointed by how this is turning out, if you haven’t played the original, it’s out there.

That's unexpected and awesome. One of the few Neo Geo Pocket games I kept.. still really fun to pick up and play from time to time.

This game is amazing! I played it a ton on PSX. Nice amount of freedom compared to the super linear FF games at the time and a really cool battle system. This is such great news! Woohoo!

Love Zelda II and 'spiritual successor' of it will always get my attention, bought Phoenotopia at launch. This looks like it has potential, assuming it's got a ways to go in development. If this is close to what the finished game would be, less interested.

Interesting review. I never put that much thought into these versions, when playing them on SNES.

Sounds like this game turned out pretty well overall.. love the incorporation of mythology into the story. Somewhat unfortunately for my interest, so many awesome games just released on Switch. Glad to hear it's good though, it's on my wishlist for when I'd have time to play it.

Sounds great, I appreciate all the impressions in the comments too. Maybe going to wait for a patch though based on the issues, have plenty to play on Switch right now after recently picking up a bunch of indies.

When I first saw Garden Story, I thought it was Picontier.. what happened to Picontier?

I love Nintendo systems for Nintendo games, but some of these indies (not all) feel like they're so aligned with Nintendo's sensibilities that they really do help the time period between major Nintendo releases for me. A Short Hike has that same joy found in games like Animal Crossing or Paper Mario. I love that we get both.. Nintendo's own games as well as smaller budget titles that to me are the next best thing.

Anyone know a good place to find impressions for some of these new indie titles? I'm curious about several of the games shown in the Indie World direct but I'd really like to read about gameplay.

I grabbed A Short Hike due to it having steam reviews.. glad I did!

@Dizavid I had the same experience with Hollow Knight. The controls just felt a bit off to me, compared to other similar games. Great art style, atmosphere, but I put it down after a couple hours.

Man I'm torn about Phoenotopia. The visuals / videos did not give me the impression of a game that punches you in the face. Hmm.

Enjoyed the Indie World presentation, some of these games look interesting, and the sale adds temptation, but I still want to know how they play.. hoping to find some impressions soon.

Trials of Mana is great, in my opinion. Best Mana series game since Legend of Mana on PS1. It's been way too long for the series to get a good game, even if it is a remake.

A shame. Not sure why this wouldn't have been more of a priority to make happen during development.

As someone that fell in love with Inticreates from the MegaMan Zero games, I got used to the tagging system in Gunvolt but never loved it. However the 2nd game introduced another playable character named Copen that plays differently, I found him much more fun to play as than Gunvolt.

Nice.. sounds worthwhile. I'm a little more curious about Vol 2, looking forward to a review for that as well

Loved Super Game Boy.. we used ours a ton.. the borders were so awesome and creative.. and trying different color palettes with various games was fun too. Great times.

Yeah I feel like Xenoblade Chronicles games are more subjective in terms of quality than others seem to think. Huge RPG fan since mid 80s, and I'm 0/3 on enjoying the series, but everyone's tastes are different. Wish I enjoyed them more than I did, but I'm not losing sleep over it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the demo for this game, especially after the Secret of Mana remake was so uninspired (and the FFA remake on mobile as well).

And to be honest, the last few Mana games I've played, like Heroes of Mana, weren't great either.

Not getting my hopes up that the series is back but this is a pleasant surprise.

Divinity Original Sin 2 and Pillars of Eternity much better ways to spend your $ unless you're interested in the nostalgia.

Three Houses weak sales in Japan due to less people owning Switch? Didn't bomb by any means, but first week sales of 143,000 is a step down from Awakening's 242,000 and Fates 260,000. I thought graphics being better etc would help it sell more.

When i first saw the price, I was like, I can't do it. Took a day to mull it over, love this series, decided to do it.

Already spent hours running around Seiken Densetsu 3 in English with my daughter, which meant a lot to me to be able to do. Zero regrets with my purchase.

bought and played 1 thru 4. Played less and less of each consecutive game though. Feel like this series has a lot of untapped potential. But maybe it just is what it is. Would take some innovation to bring me back at this point.

I'm at a loss as to what online play really does for NES games. I can't think of a single NES game that would be better with online play or of any that i'd want to play online.

If you didn't play this on WiiU and like to play platformers couch co-op with your family who are more casual players, my advice would be to stay away from this game. This was easily my biggest regret purchase on WiiU.

I thought I read that this was confirmed for Western release, just after it's released in Asia.

Installed granblue fantasy a year or so ago to see what all the fuss was about, it's interface was archaic because it was several years old already, but what was there as a game was impressive compared to other mobile JRPGs

They would sell more if they made more. The Splatoon 2, Metroid, Zelda and Mario amiibo continue to fetch high prices online on the secondary market.

Loved Yoshis Wooly World and my wife loved it even more. No way i would rank it below the tedious DKCR games, but I guess that's just me.
