There was a book released in English titled Art of Mana a few years back that covered the whole series to that point. I own it and it has plenty of art of Legend of Mana in it, enough for me.
@MrGawain you'd think but theres dummies like me that love RPGs and keep trying to see what others love but failing. I bought and played some of 1, X and 2 but now have given up lol.
gameplay looks fun, hopefully dynamic as Twilight Princess had stuff that looked fun in trailers but was a one time event. story looks like, ganon is back, rescue zelda. yikes
Wife and I loving this game, I’m sure we’ll get these too. Tiny bit disappointed as a fan of SaGa Frontier and Scarlet Grace that my personal favorites aren’t present but that’s how it goes with games like these that pick a couple songs per game
This list is silly because it's like comparing apples to oranges, but Nintendo could've worked to release a few of their games in better states at launch, for sure.
I mean, it's very possible that these guys still have friends at Treehouse and hear things. Nintendo is secretive but the games have to be localized.
Although I still think Tears of the Kingdom is the Switch's swan song.. if a Switch successor is coming even in the next couple years, Nintendo's teams should be working on games for that by now.
Had a Switch since launch day and played it to death, bu this was the year it fell off for me. Broke down and bought a new gaming PC in the spring and doesn't feel like I missed too much on Switch this year.
The fan community's done a great job of making X Online as playable as possible on PC, there's a translation app for the menus and even a side app that translates the in-game text on the fly. Wasn't too hard to setup and the game itself is free to download. There was a very helpful Discord community at the time I was playing it too. I'd recommend it if like me you're a Dragon Quest fan curious what this game is actually like.
V’s story was my favorite by far in the series. I have played DQ since the 1st game on NES, and I have more nostalgia for other entries in the series. But of the games I’ve played thru V had the best story, to me.
@Truegamer79 The turbo grafx mini is really cool. I picked one up and do not regret it. I've played it quite a bit. But make sure you watch a video or something of the game list so you understand exactly what you're getting yourself into, with the games library and # of games in Japanese. It's a great retro curiosity though. I have a hard time imagining the Genesis mini 2 will go out of stock quickly, the first one didn't seem to have stock issues compared to Nintendo's mini console issues, but maybe this is a more limited release.
Awesome news. I agree with everyone else a western release would be great, although I'll probably buy it regardless, unless the remainder of the revealed library is really disappointing.
I wonder if these are the only new games included, plus the games from the original system, or if it will feature mostly different games from the original? The first mega drive mini was great but I already have it and thus those games.
Btw shout out to the PC Engine mini.. great maybe underrated mini console!
I definitely want to try the new track out. The game isn’t perfect but I found the story mode amusing and the gameplay fun. It’s not quite Mario Kart but we’ve also played Mario Kart 8 to death by now.
Nice to see so many mentions of DQX Online. Although having downloaded the free client , played on Switch with Google translate then on PC with some amazing translation apps fans made.. the game is fun but is definitely showing it’s age. The offline version being a separate game seems like a good opportunity for Square Enix to please western fans without running servers etc for an online game that would likely have a limited audience.
I'm really rooting for this game. Both my kids love it, which isn't often the case as one is 8 and the other 17. I've mostly watched them play it, but I love how much it mixes up the formula.
@earthinheritor couldn't agree more. its looking good but it feels like what they're going for would be able to spread its wings further with better hardware.
I couldn't agree more... It's fun to try out these games.. sometimes they generate laughs with us if nothing else. I would not have tried them otherwise.
@KateGray Thank you for your reply, that helps! I think for me there were similarities in the gameplay description- foraging, crafting, woodcutting, mining, fishing, quests for villagers, marriage etc. and the appearance is somewhat similar. I haven’t watched much gameplay footage of Littlewood, so it sounded like a comparison. Anyway I appreciate your reply, will Wishlist this.

Re: Select EU Retailers Are Abandoning Nintendo's Suggested Retail Price For Switch 2 Games
Gamers are such crybabies . I remember watching my grandmother pay $60 for Kings Knight on the NES.
It’s not the end of the world for games to cost more 40 years later when everything else costs way more than it did.
If it doesn’t sell, it will drop in price . There will be sales. Chill.

As someone who uses Unity, and does not ever expect to meet those requirements, I'd much rather this, than being charged to use Unity period.

Exciting- my favorite game in the series as well
Re: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series Sells Two Million Copies
@Serpenterror lol XI and XIV are more Final Fantasy than a lot of the offline games . ffmq was a joke of a game even when it came out
Re: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series Sells Two Million Copies
@WhiteTrashGuy then you’re not a “real” final fantasy fan

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer Gets Creative With Vehicle Building, Fused Weapons
On one hand the building gameplay looks really fun. I had hoped there was less reused assets from BotW but oh well.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Gameplay Trailer Drops Tomorrow, 28th March 2023
Really hoping for something interesting gameplay-wise. The last trailer just looked like more of the same as BotW.

Re: Random: Fan-Made Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Course For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Is Pure Joy
Could use some fine tuning but way more interesting and nostalgic than the actual Zelda course in Mario Kart 8.

whoa, pretty much how i'd rank them. wasn't expecting that lol
I'd love a Path of Radiance HD
Re: Talking Point: So, When Will Nintendo Announce Its Next Console?
I agree with others announcing this year would tank sales to some extent for current Switch. so probably next year
unfortunately if Zelda TotK is the last big Switch game from Nintendo it'll be a pretty big painful wait for Switch 2

That’s a shame. Valis IV on PC Engine would be the primary reason to get this, that was my personal favorite
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate Nintendo's 2021?
Some high quality games but too many remasters or niche releases to be a great year overall for them.
Re: Game Journalist Thinks The Next Zelda: BOTW 2 Reveal Is Likely To Be In 2022
Sounds like the game awards are a pass this year. Not shocking after last year

Re: Hands On: Streets Of Rage 4's Mr. X Nightmare DLC Is A Dreamy Add-On
Loved Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap and Streets of Rage 4. Golden Axe by them would be awesome, or if they wanted to do an RPG, Shining Force

Can't wait for this to become available!

Re: Review: Littlewood - A Relaxing Life Sim With A Deliciously Addictive Core
Looks neat but does this offer anything that Stardew Valley doesn’t? I guess the lack of a penalty for death. Not sure if I’m missing something,
