Why do we play games? Exploration would seem to be the watchword, the catalyst for every element of the most diverse and interesting form of entertainment there is. It doesn't matter what you're exploring; all that matters is that it's happening. In the most traditional sense, you're exploring an unfamiliar, possibly mystical locale. On a less narrative level, you're exploring your own ability, your skill. You're exploring the tactics of your opponent. Exploring the art funnelled into a game by its talented creators. That's what gaming is; exploration.
Forgive the pretentious first paragraph, there. Some games inspire such reflection on what this (alleged) art form is all about. What we get out of gaming, fundamentally, regardless of the myriad genres, platforms, styles, budgets, controls. Whatever that elusive, universal experience is, A Short Hike has it. In spades.
You play as Claire, a little bird (or birb, to use the parlance of the internet) on holiday in a place called Hawk Peak. In a quest to find a mobile phone signal, she must reach higher ground. So you do. But just like life, there are plenty of distractions on the way. Hawk Peak is a small, contained, compact place but it's rich with things to do, all of which are refreshingly organic in their presentation.
Climbing the mountain itself is the primary goal of A Short Hike, portrayed as a semi-isometric 3D platformer of sorts where your objective of reaching the summit is hindered by Claire's lack of flight ability and energy, a resource increased by finding or buying Golden Feathers – each one allowing you to perform an additional jump in the air, as well as climb up sheer surfaces for longer. Think Breath of the Wild's stamina system, but more concise.
En route to acquiring said feathers, though, are the distractions we mentioned. Fellow hikers, holiday-goers and natives mill around the island, going about their business. Chatting with them elicits breezy, likeable dialogue that's neither bogged down with exposition nor so quirky is obfuscates crucial information. You'll be able to meet (and race against) marathon runners, grab a fishing rod, take in a quick game of volleyball, trade a kid's toy shovel for a real one (and dig up coins and treasure chests with it)... every action contributes marvellously towards your overall goals.
You'll come up against walls in your progress as you play – often literally, a wall you're not able to climb – but, brilliantly, your options on how to circumvent this are completely free and open. Even in the early game you're able to explore a sizeable chunk of the island; that first Golden Feather at the visitor's centre is signposted to some extent, but we went off exploring beforehand, managing to find some seashells, dig up some treasure and even stumble across a Feather that made us feel like we'd broken the game, only – of course – its discovery was entirely within the game's parameters. That's another thing A Short Hike excels at: making you feel like you're pushing at its limits. Getting one over on it. Even when, of course, you're not.
As you ascend higher and higher, you'll find new twists and tweaks to the established controls and systems, gameplay variation without the frustration of a brand new mechanic at the eleventh hour. The difficulty increases, but while the terrain is hostile the game certainly isn't; yes, you can tumble down the mountain and lose progress (it'll never take you long to get back to where you were), but in the process of doing so you may find yourself in a new area full of stuff to see and do, or even just an old area from a new angle. A sudden reminder that, hey, you can make that jump now. Or if you climb back up even halfway, you can glide to that previously-unreachable seashell... and that gives you enough to take back to the kid who wanted them... but on the way there, you'll realise you didn't win that race yet... but in passing, you've acquired enough coins for another Feather, which means you can get back up the mountain quicker and easier... which... (and so on).
It's that sort of game – a constantly giving, rewarding little box of joys. And when you finally make it to the top of the mountain and witness the game's denouement, you'll find the entire mountain, the climb, the struggle all thrown into a new perspective, both in terms of its narrative and, well, the fact you've got to make your way back down now. Remember how Celeste's mountain was a metaphor? A Short Hike's is a little less on-the-nose; a game whose journey has whatever meaning and resonance you choose to pour into it. It's a story as freeform as its gameplay, a perfect synergy of everything video games do well. And we haven't even mentioned the beautiful, lo-fi pixellated polygonal graphics. Or the lilting, evocative soundtrack. When everything compliments everything else so brilliantly, you barely even notice them. That's what it means to be a truly complete game.
Nonetheless, we'll give them some time in the sun – A Short Hike is beautiful to look at it. It's visually more complex than it seems, managing to marry its attractive and unique visuals with the similarly undulating box of treats that it's portraying. The music, too, is extremely fitting – pastoral when it needs to be, triumphant when you earn that triumph. Naturally, the whole things at 60 frames per second, and the controls are smoother than butter.
If we had to dig for any real criticisms, we could argue that A Short Hike is too, well, short, but to do so would miss the point. Making a beeline for the summit and ignoring the wealth of wonderful distractions, secrets and easter eggs is forcing the game into a round hole when it's very much a square peg. A straight shot to the summit will take you an hour, tops. But it's a hike, not a sprint. Except for the optional sprint you can take part in, of course. Maybe, maybe the ability to switch our equipped tool with the shoulder buttons may have been cool, but the game never requires any kind of rapid flicking between your inventory, so it's almost entirely moot.
A game where we need to really dig for anything at all to complain about. You love to see it.
Conclusion
A Short Hike is a fat-free experience from top to bottom – or should we say bottom to top? It's the kind of game that makes us just sigh with happiness when we recall our time with it, and even having played it through to its ostensible conclusion multiple times, we know for a fact there are still things to see and do on that mountain. What we have here is something of an apotheosis – a milestone in indie games akin to Cave Story, or Spelunky. The very best bits of multiple game genres, stripped of all padding and bloat, mixed perfectly into a delicious video game stew that only gets richer and richer the more you play. An exploration in every sense of the word, A Short Hike is cute without being twee, challenging without being obnoxious, and emotional without being cloying. A landmark game for all ages. Don't miss this one.

Wow! I guess I have another game for my wishlist. @Nintendolife are you planning on reviewing Hypnospace Outlaw? It’s a really good game that is different from anything else I’ve played.
Love that 10/10. I can’t seem to finish many games these days but I definitely finished this gem. It’s a great compact game experience. I love the DS-like graphic fidelity and the design was absolutely spot on in all categories. Hopeofully there’s a sequel!
I would’ve ignored this entirely if it weren’t for the glowing review. I’ll definitely throw it on the pile of games to play and at this rate with my current backlog I’ll probably be checking it out in 2022 or something.
I really enjoyed this game. It's world and controls were excellent. If they make a longer sequel with more islands or something, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Oh damn, a 10?! I already had this on my Watch List but it seems like I'll be checking it out sooner than I anticipated!
@Blooper987 Keep your eye on the site this weekend
The 10% launch discount ends tomorrow so don't sleep on this one (although it's easily worth its tiny asking price)
A little surprised by the score but it's definitely a very good game and well worth the asking price. A nice, relaxing time for a few hours.
To anyone with a backlog: bump this game to the top of your playlist. The quick, hot burn will completely refresh what it means to sit down and actually complete a game in our modern day
It is a great game, one of those short experiences that you should start and finish on a rainy night.
Might buy it on Switch, getting it for free on PC was nice but they deserve the support
A 10/10? I expected this game to be more of a 6 or a 7, so that's good to know. I bought it this morning, so I'll definitely try It later tonight.
It is a good game. Very polished. Definitely special.
Game is absolutely wonderful. Deserving score.
I have this game from the massive blm itch.io bundle, and this just bumped it to the top of my list. Wow!
I know what I’m spending $7 on today.
Edit: Bought. Can’t wait to try it out tomorrow.
I was holding off on buying until a review. 10/10 was all I need to see
What an impeccably written review. A real joy to read.
It probably helps that the subject matter itself affords such lyricism (it’s difficult to weave such uplifting prose when what you really want to say is, “this game is a bit pants”). But really, this is just a beautiful piece of writing.
I just don't like open world games.
I completely agree with the 10/10. After finishing it, the impact that it left me sitting with makes it feel like it belongs in my Top 5 games of all time. There wasn't a single issue that I had to complain about, and not a single moment that I wasn't enjoying myself any less than 100%. Sure it's short, but that's the point. You can dive in and out of it in the span of an evening, and feel wonderful by the end of it without feeling like you've slogged through it in the slightest.
Ok, I give in - bought it
Is it safe to say that this is the walking sim genre's GOTY? Maybe even GOAT? 😂
Does the score only reflect that the game has the same quality as something line Mario Odyssey or Breath of the Wild?
Or does it take the price into account as well?
To me, a 10/10 is a bit ehm... much. Don’t think this game is that genre defining...?
Game of the year for me, it’s sublime
I was gonna skip this one, but this review is making me rethink that. Looks like I'd be missing a lot if I did.
Gotta laugh at the only con: Some people suffer from ornithophobia.
Wow! Really surprised an indie game and a third party game is getting a 10/10, when even Hollow Knight didn't get it (too bad, imo).
It's good to know this game is really good. I had put an eye on it, but now I'm even more interested. It seems to be my kind of thing.
Can't say I agree with this one. I bought the game right away when it released last week, and it was...good? I enjoyed it, but it's not 10/10 material. Personally I'd give it a 7/10. Good. But not great.
Just finished this game earlier. It’s utterly fantastic right from the first moment. I was particularly impressed with how accessible it is, and how effortlessly channels games like Breath of the Wild and Animal Crossing whilst still remaining very much its own thing. It’s a perfect game to spend an afternoon enjoying.
I will definitely be getting this at some point!
Great review for a great game. The writing captures the game excellently. I finished the game in about 3 hours last week, but my mind keeps returning to it. This past week I actually went hiking with my family in the woods, and I thought about the game.
To the point of the score: no, it is not an Odyssey or Breath of the Wild, but when you play this small game you realize that it has a big heart and superb game play. To give it less than a 9 or 10 would be misrepresenting the truth. The truth is this small game deserves a big score.
It's not often I get to finish a game in a week. Of course, A Short Hike is indeed short, but man, it's such a wonderful little game. It feels wholly unique even though you can see what inspired the developer with a lot of things. The graphics are honestly beautiful, the music is outstanding and the layers are dynamic, the controls are fluid, the island is densely packed and nicely designed, and there's a lot of variety in what you can do.
Also I spent like 20 minutes trying to push an NPC into the water with the boat it was great
Why? Just why does this have to be a 10, damn it?!
I'll get it and love it like I do Celeste.
Dang 10/10 is a statement. But glad to see the developers getting some shine here. I loved this game.
I was I intrigued after the Indie Direct, looked up a couple reviews of the PC version and found the same glowing praise— downloaded it immediately— just waiting to beat Paper Mario first. I’m so incredibly stoked to check it out. Seems right up my alley. I have a feeling I will agree with the 10/10. Thanks for such a well written/creative review.
Beautiful, polished visuals
Looks like N64/PS1 game to me
Totally agreed. Love playing this with my daughter.
Picked this up straight after the Nindies Direct the other week. An excellent game, deserving of a 10/10. I love the "Con" in this review!
Really well written review. Played this over a weekend away and was utterly hooked. Enjoyed every minute.
Wow. Had no interest but I'll buy it now as 2020s gaming silence has allowed me to finish my backlog and I'm looking for a game to play.
I loved this game!
@yusuf2002 nothing wrong with that!
@Friendly they had no criticisms, so why can't it be a 10/10. The game is just that-a good game. Its not trying to be the next breath of the wild, it just wants people to appreciate it, and I dig that. This site barely gives 10s ever. No game actually is a 10/10 objectively, so where do we draw the line? Where do we say this is a 10, and this is a 9? So yes, it deserves a 10/10 completely.
It really deserves a 10/10. Would have missed this gem if it wasnt for Alex little youtube video. Thank you Alex 🙏🏻
Well, I wasn't loving the art style in the screenshots so would have passed on this, but I'll get it after that score.
Ok ok I’m getting it already!
This game has a bird in it and as a bird furry (feathery?) I feel obligated to get it
Never a fan of a 10 for me a 9.5 game of the year for me so far
Yea, I heard awesome things about this on NVC. Gonna get it later today.
@GregamanX That's got to be one of the best comments I've read on the site. Thanks for commenting!
@Friendly I think the 10/10 is a personal decision by the reviewer. I haven't beaten the game yet (bagged the peak), but this game is a 10/10 for me. I could totally see someone feeling like it is a 7 or 8 or 9. Everyone will have their own take on a game, possibly affected by one's mood while playing it. That's how it should be, I think. I recently watched Alanah Pearce's youtube video about the truth about IGN reviews. It totally made sense to me, and I think what she said applies to Nintendolife reviews (and probably Kotaku, Nintendo World Report, etc). Basically, review authors have freedom to actually say what they feel about the game they're reviewing and are simply going to actually express their heartfelt response to how good and how fun a game was to play through.
A masterpiece. I didn't find any flaws, even though it's a short game, it never feels like an unfinished or rushed product.
Thanks for the awesome, awesome, review! I can't remember what the dialog was anymore, but a couple days ago something in this game made me laugh out loud in a way that ended up also touching me. It was remarkable, and I can't think of a similar moment I've had while playing any other game. This game makes me feel like I'm in Mr. Roger's Neighborhood! I mean that earnestly, in a heart-open way. It feels wholesome and real. I'm sure I'm projecting all kinds of things into it, but that's remarkable too! For me, its like the outer world is so full of selfishness and ugliness right now that I need to imagine this caring snowglobe that is A Short Hike. I've enjoyed starting a stopwatch when I launched a gliding challenge from near the top (I'm pretty sure I could've bagged the peak, I have played this for about 4 hours so far) and I happily coasted on the peaceful air of this provincial park for 2 full minutes before landing in the water. Just as a side note, it is amazing how well done running is in this game. The scale of the trails and the speed of running just makes it so fun! Also, I never dreamed I would be able to dive and gain so much speed while in flight! Oh, I also want to mention that I like this game in it's highest resolution, or smallest pixel size. Alex didn't see that in the options (I don't think) in his lovely video, but it's fun to have the choice of different graphical styles.
A Short Hike is among the best games I've ever played. It feels like Sayonara Broken Hearts, where they spent something like 5 years (I think) making a game you can complete in an hour or so. All that time and attention shines through. Plus, there is quite a bit of replayability in there (I'm still enjoying Sayonara Wild Hearts now and again, and I think this game will be the same).
Lovely review, lovely game
When you think about it, a game's score should not reflect the number of hours it boasts, or the breadth of mechanics a game can contain; it should mark the quality of the product: the goals that the developer successfully achieves, or fails.
10/10 aptly reflects its design, polish, and level of execution for everything the developer set out to do.
A Short Hike really does deserve this score. Similarly to Journey, which is forever a tragedy that it will never be available to purely Nintendo gamers, this game is as nearly perfectly produced a diamond in the rough as any game will be.
I couldn’t agree more. It’s video game poetry. I was in a bad place when I tried it, and it gave me a little help.
Dang! This is the first review on this site I’ve seen with a 10/10 rating! Totally picking this one up when I get the chance
I think the first paragraph is interesting and don't find it pretentious at all. Exploration is one of my favorite things in games. I guess that applies to almost everything. I don't like horror in general, but I enjoyed Prometheus because I felt like I got to explore an alien planet. In Contact (Jodi Foster et all) I had the same kind of excitement, but that film is far more amazing because it also goes into interpersonal exploration much more deeply and has much more interesting characters. Novels, poems, history books, spiritual books, all have a connection to exploration. It's really interesting to think about. Exploration certainly still drives my interest in Breath of the Wild, and it was a big part of what made Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time so exciting when they launched. Yeah, when I first played Super Mario 3 and Yoshi's Island I was constantly dragged along by my insatiable curiosity to explore future levels. And I guess with something like Tetris I've always been curious to see how far I could get (like a high score is a kind of exploration). Of course Tetris Effect actually makes tetris feel like exploration! I'll just leave it there!
@Ulysses Yeah! I didn't think of Journey, but that's a great game to bring up in comparison to A Short Hike. Journey is also a 10/10 for me, but it felt much more like a dream (a semi-magical dream) to me whereas A Short Hike feels like happiness in childhood.
Yeah got this after that direct never heard of it before. Loved it, I feel it’s one of those games that everyone should try, it’s a doddle to play and a lot of fun. For me a 9 out of 10. For anyone who hasn’t downloaded, go on! Xxxx
Was waiting for you to review this one, as the Direct itself hooked me, and I spent the next two days exploring it.
Yeah. Perfection. I only wish there were that much more to Hawk Peak.
Great review! This game's one of my favorites this year for sure. I'm glad it's getting the recognition it deserves!
@thiswaynow There's an option in the settings that lets you adjust the amount of pixelation The last option when docked almost removes the pixelated look.
@Flippy Wow, that's a lot of golden feathers! Thanks for posting a pic that shows how sharp, relatively sharp, the game can look.
@Flippy
I love taking screensaves of A Short Hike! Only other games that have made me want to do that are BOTW and ACNH.
@60frames-please Glad it helps!
Haha yeah I kept coming back to the game, and every time I did there's something new to discover and I found another feather or two There's so much packed into this tiny game!
@Ulysses Same here!
@GilbertXI @60frames-please Agree with you both. It cán be a 10/10. Personal opinion, of course.
Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing game, very, very enjoyable. I picked it up last week, played it in one sitting last wednesday.
But to me, the game wasn't that genre defining as something I regard as a 10/10. I doubt I'll be thinking about it in a few weeks, what I did with Breath of the Wild or Mario Odyssey (and I can name some other games too, of course, also on other platforms). All those moments of aaaaww, wonder, feelings of béing the game and of limitless pure joy. My personal opinion is that thats required for a 10/10. I'd give the game 8 or 9 out of 10, which is still outstanding.. It's a very, VERY enjoyable game. Go play it when you have a couple of hours free time .
To each their own That makes the world interesting, right?
I finished this gem the day it released and actually hankering to play again. It was super short, but magical.
I think I finished it in about an hour and a half, but didn’t find everything to do.
Was a blast the whole time though. Like a near perfect mix of Animal Crossing and - a Mario 64 level.
Great review, just another example of why people shouldn't ignore indies(for whatever reason).
10 out of 10. Must give it a go just now.
Thanks for the revw. Currently playing my way through this and it's very, very pleasant as a gaming experience
@LatsaSpege It’s not an open world game. The island is free to explore but has a very straightforward path to reach the summit.
Great game 1210 !!!
@Friendly Yeah, sounds fair! It really seems like a game where it's hard to imagine someone wanting to put it down and not finish it.
@60frames-please well, i’ve finished it within ... 2,5 hours I think. Same length as a good movie . Or like ... 3 chapters of a good book. (With chapters of like, 25ish pages).
You should finish it in one sitting! Makes the experience better I’d say.
Couldn't agree more with this review. This game lets you explore, relax, create your own little moments. I played through it last weekend and just fell in love. If I had to describe it in one word, it's 'wholesome'. If I had to describe it in three words, it's 'lovely summer vacation'.
@Friendly I just finished it! It really worked well for me to play it over a week and a half. What a sweet ending. I like how you can go talk to your aunt May (?) and let her know that [{stuff went well}]. I also liked helping someone up to the summit after I'd climbed it. I'd say it took me 4.5 hours. I was really dragging things out. There's still stuff to do in the park!
@GilbertXI very well argued. I'd rate that rebuttal a 10/10 👍
@the_beaver They did give Celeste a 10/10 from what I remember. They just don’t dole out many perfect scores. But they give 8s out like candy on Halloween.
Played in on PC back when it released as a Humble Bundle Original.
It is, by far, one of the best games I've played.
Relaxing, filled with content and exploration, and perfect length.
Happy to see it getting Switch release.
Welp I’ve heard nothing but good things about this one. I already knew I’d get it but this review has lit the match under my hiney! I don’t need a new game to play but I must experience this it seems.
I just looked at the gamepics in this review and saw the one where Clair catches a carp. I've played this game about 5 hours and somehow haven't gotten the fishing rod yet! I've also never played volleyball. It's amazing how short the game is, yet how much is packed into it.
Great game, but the perfect scores are ludicrous. The inventory select screen is a joke, the camera is infrequently a pain in the butt, there's no rumble (much less HD rumble), and the brevity sucks. It's really more like a demo....a really good demo, but still a demo.
@Friendly that's more than fair. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, whether good or bad, whatever. I find it fascinating what people quantify a certain game as a different score, especially 9 and 10s, cause those are the most hazy boundaries. I understand that most people just give a random number and move on with their day, but people like game reviewers and whatnot who are required to think about what score they give to a game. The anarchy that is the Last Of Us Part 2 user scores on metacritic are a fine example.
@Stargazer this was about my takeaway. it's a fine game, but it's nothing ground-shatteringly amazing
Anyone else turn on the sharper image right away?
I finished this in two nights and loved every moment of it. I'll actually opt to do it a second time since I missed so many little gems on the way.
This game basically spits on publishers like 2K and Activision. They are acting like they gotta charge $70 for their games, while this game is only selling for $8 and it's better than anything they have released this gen.
I was getting some old school Animal Crossing vibes from this.It was mainly from the art style, but the pacing and charming dialogue tells me it's even more apt that I thought. Going to look into this when I get the chance.
I'll wait for the discount to end because it looks like it's worth every Eurocent.
That is one weird review. It feels like it was written by a philosophy teacher, and it's not a good thing
I got spiritfarer and a short hike at the same time. Yeh short hike is ok but not as good as spiritfarer.
Fun but definitely not a 10, i’d knock of a couple points just based on poor camera control
@daebiya yes, i like retro graphics but the default settings make it look like bad N64 game, the smaller pixel setting looks much better!
@Mrd8202
I don't mind it, but how can you compliment graphics when it looks like something we had 20 years ago. I'm sure its a great game tho.
I read lots of good things about this game on Twitter and I was waiting for your review. It confirms this game is a gem. Can't wait to have some time to play it!
Just finished it. Took my time, about 3 hours, and found lots. Doubt i'd go back to it again. Enjoyed it ... 7.5/10. Not sure why its a "LANDMARK" game. Its certainly a decent and amusing way to while away an afternoon. Was fun and didn't overstay its welcome but certainly didn't feel like something particularily special to me.
@stevep yeah, it didn't look like a style choice, more like when I played an old Gameboy Advance game on my Wii U and it got up rez 500x on my TV. It looks so much better with crisp simplistic color scheme. Anyways, its a masterpiece regardless.
Screenshots put me off. Not a fan of the art style, looks ugly to me.
Wish people would stop with the pixel art stuff in general
So sold on this game. Cannot wait to download it. It sounds like an utter joy. I liked Verge describing it as "Breath of the Wild meets Animal Crossing," too.
@Flippy Great screenshot that you shared.
@Friendly hi, I would call it genre defining. Just played through it and loved it to bits. Will try to convince my wife trying it. She is not a gamer at all. I think, this game has the potential to show her at least what gaming is about in a short time.
For me, BOTW is a perfect LP, this is a perfect track. Since they only ask the price of a single, it's a perfect experience.
I totally back this 10/10.
No, most of us play games to fulfill an objective, otherwise it's not technically a "game" in the first place. While this game does indeed have an objective, and exploration can be an interesting component of that, if you overdo it by building the entire experience mostly around exploration, then it just becomes a boring slog.
Also, why are you praising the graphics?! While it's an interesting art style, there's no excuse for it being as pixelated as a GBA game. Are they even using an HD resolution here?!
I adored this game. My only wish is that it was longer, I didn't want it to end.
A perfect little gem. I think the 10/10 is well deserved.
Given how fun it was, and how tight the controls were, I really hope they expand the world and make a longer experience with Claire. I would love having a 20-hour + game in this universe.
Re: pixelation, I played on the smallest pixel setting, which was more to my liking.
Also, a note to completionists: the game was updated for the Switch release and a different gold feather was added. This is not reflected on most guides online.
Just bought this game on the back of this great review.
I was already looking at buying it.
I held off because of my backlog.
Looking forward to this one now.
Thanks again for your well written review
Just played this beginning to end in one sitting (about 2 hours) and totally loved every second!
So many lovely little touches, easily one of my favourite games, really nice!
Want to do it all again now
Just finished A Short Hike. Everything about it is good. Controls, frame rate, art style, music, NPC interaction are all solid. There are some areas where the camera is clunky or can hinder progress (like the windy tunnel on the climb up). However, it does feel lacking. It reminded me a lot of Animal Crossing, or felt like it could be a mini-game FROM Animal Crossing. Really, it is what you make it: an enjoyable few sessions of a creatively assembled game. After reaching the top, I've run through again 4 times focusing now on exploration. There are many books and crannies to explore and seek out. In the end, expect 10-15 hours of gameplay which includes multiple playthroughs.
@thesilverbrick No shame there, I’ll still be finishing and checking out titles from 2017 for likely the rest of the Switch’s lifecycle... (with some more current ones mixed in!)
I’m stunned this is a 10/10. I just completed it after about an hour and a half. There really isn’t THAT much to do, and the game doesn’t have THAT much to say. Disappointed.
because it goes to 11!!!!!! This game is soooooooo amazing in every way!! Worth way more than the asking price!! Jut beat it and immediately started playing my same game. PURE BLISS!!!!
Such a banger of a game really great if your looking for something shorter to keep you busy during huge games. Really loved the story and the art style very worthwhile!
