This actually means that Yoshi's game is way further in development than an average game to be released until April next year. It might be one of those games that is ready but they just put it to fill a hole whenever that hole is.
Anyway, I'll watch that treehouse later, if only for bits of Yoshi and a complete run of the Smash single player mode that will be heavily featured.
It's great you let us know about these deals. But it just feels weird to me that 5he playstation store is having another sale of th same kind of topic (sale of the dead or something along those lines), and I just bought Horizon Zero Dawn for $19.99 with all DLC, Eve Valkyrie with VR for $8.99 and the newest God of War is like $39 right now but I won't buy it just yet.
I'm still a big Nintendo fan, as always, but my economy forces me to buy way more (non-indies) games from other sources.
It all sounds quite good. Gameplay sounds specially nice. But it feels so weird that the Starter pack has the least content and costs more than the cheapest digital one, which would be like the 'normal' game and has more ships and stuff.
I love this game. It's just fun enough to keep me coming back to it. It's a bit strange that I loved Botw waaaay more but my hours playing rocket league are more than double.
@Yosher Yeah. I guess he didn't really think the comment through and was more just part of an emotional (happy) reaction. Quite the spoiler for the ones who are not very far.
@Heavyarms55 Well, wasn't it going to be on switch? The season was available to be purchased so, I guess it'll be available again. That's probably why there's no need to confirm platforms again.
@Frendo everything was fine (it's an opinion after all) UNTIL you said VR has stubborn fans.
Well, Nintendo has very stubborn fans. Sony has stubborn fans, Microsoft, Apple, Trump have very stubborn fans. Vegetables have stubborn fans. I think I made my point.
I really like Rocket League and have been playing for quite a while. It runs at 60fps so no issues there. Something that's a bit surprising to me is that, at least in my region, I haven't noticed any dips in terms of Nintendo players now that online is payed like everyone else.
I don't think they just forgot to tell Nintendo about this. My guess is that they sent the message to all stores. Problem is that Nintendo isn't as quick as, in this case, Steam to answer and react accordingly.
As commented before, this shows how this practice of selling a product that doesn't exist yet can go wrong all the time, especially in this industry where many things get troublesome.
@mj2k18 the difficulty doesn't make it great. The rage doesn't either. It's the awesome feeling of accomplishment that comes after you overcome a great challenge that actually made your reflexes and combat analysis better for most video games.
That game's difficulty isn't cheap. Other games are cheap and shallow in their unfair difficulty spikes. This one is VERY carefully crafted. Sam and other people here nailed it in their counterpoints.
@NintendoFan4Lyf YES. That's usually the case for most! Hate it - understand it - love it. You might git gud at it or not, but the love already grew. Oh and I said most, not all.
@Baker1000 I believe they'll do the same when SNES games come. N64 could work the same because even if you place 20 of those in one slot, you'd probably spend less than 1GB of the system's storage.
It's nice that they're placing them in one single frame. It's their way of making a folder without actually having folders available (btw, when are they coming!!?).
@NintendoFan4Lyf But there's a 7-day free period even when the service accepts money and it's active. So that annual subscription should start one week from now. Unless, as the article states, free stuff is not your thing.
I remember playing it for quite some time (I beat it alone and with a friend) through PS Plus. The PS4 version used to hurt really bad going down to a really bad frame rate. And that was the PS4?
I saw a comment about Switch handling it better. Is it true? Can others that bought it confirm that it runs steady on Switch? Thanks in advance.
Those leaked rumors from before E3 keep on looking more real as Nintendo Directs go by. It they continue like this, we should be seeing the Star Fox racing game, Pikmin, and Metroid trilogy in the next Direct.
The logic thought is that they'll debut the starfox one after the release of Starlink in order to avoid a clash.
What..? 20 more for a reversible cover and a poster? I don't want to be seen as negative but, the value proposition doesn't add up. The price of the game itself is kind of high already, you can beat it in a couple of hours AND you can also beat it in minutes (I got the trophy for that).
By the way, for my opinion to be fully understood, I got and platinum the game a long time ago through PS Plus.
I couldn't care less about this particular game. What is clear is that Harry Potter, Yoshi, the sales, Mega man demo, and this were all gonna be in the Direct. These things are a bit complicated for marketing since there surely were arrangements made that couldn't be honoured (for a good reason). All is planned even to the couple of seconds that the publisher was going to get in that video.
If rumors are true, there were going to be some nice surprises and we can still expect them since usually those game announcements or updates would take more time to be released and really want that fanfare of being in a Direct.
Nintendo now needs to rearrange all that timing quickly because the Online service won't wait and they surely would like to add a couple of things to subtitute the Mega man demo, Yoshi name (even if it's just a teaser like Metroid Prime 4) and those other minor things.
We got quite some news today, we'll surely have more 'small' news in these following days since I bet Nintendo will set the Direct for at least another week.
As mentioned in some comments, this actually gives some more credibility to those rumors about a Direct happening this month with another 3DS port or something, Online service info, another smash character reveal, the Yoshi game, logo or some tease of the StarFox game, a glimpse of a couple of other surprises like a Metroid Prime Trilogy port, etc.
That comment would look way better if it was done with complete honesty. Something like 'we need to care about our player base staying within our ecosystem. That is the best for our business and bla bla...'
You know, what we all know and understand. Why they haven't been honest about this is puzzling. They'd be better off without their CEO talking like this.
I read the article, I read the comments. What I'm surprised I didn't find here us any comment regarding the OTHER news about what Sony CEO (Yoshida) just said about cross-play.
"On cross-platform, our way of thinking is always that PlayStation is the best place to play. Fortnite, I believe, partnered with PlayStation 4 is the best experience for users, that's our belief,"
Look for this and more comments. The news is easy to find since it's been out for 2 days already.
By the way, the question now was very tricky, I don't know if it maybe was a mistake even. Aren't you supposed to always die? (I recall seeing the character fall and die every time).
For that price I'm not sure at all. I got the original one for Wii U, maybe that's why I'm not too keen on spending that much for it. I'm still saving for Octopath, and DaemonX. For great action platformers, I'm fine right now with Hollow Knight and Dead Cells.
Terrible trailer. Not for the gameplay shown, but for possibly spoiling what could be most of the twist. Discovering that there are structures already built, then streets, then houses and so on, is for me a big part of the experience these kinds of games want you to go through.
@Roam85 That's the very first thing I thought. Maybe not a 3d printed model, but we might see some alternatives in the market for the people who don't want to spend for the whole Labo kit, but want to take advantage of this compatibility (be it Mario Kart, another racing game, a Pilotwings, a shooter, etc).
