@roy130390 The game is done, though. The delays are because of issues with the physical release. Seems silly to make everyone wait because a relatively small number of people insist on having a physical game for some reason.
I don't actually feel it's any more difficult than the first game. I think there's just a significantly bigger audience and larger cross-section of gamers playing it, given the high anticipation and, well, your average gamer isn't overly good at gaming.
There's a popular movie poster artist named Tyler Stout who released a Terminator poster a few years back (I obviously got one) and I remember him or someone else explaining that they couldn't use Arnold's likeness because he demands some astronomical sum. I assume that's the same reason for not using his likeness in this game. But I'm so pumped!
Even at $40, Link's Awakening is overpriced, imo. At $60, just ludicrious. Even if it got a fresh coat of paint, it's still at its core a Game Boy game with a Game Boy-sized world.
@jsty3105 The Switch OLED was $100 less than the Switch 2. Granted, a smaller screen. But to not expect a nearly $500 handheld to offer an OLED in 2025 is ridiculous, particularly when the PREVIOUS GENERATION OFFERED IT. Stop making excuses for Nintendo.
@Ellie-Moo The original is a masterpiece and it's wonderful to be able to play it on a handheld console, imo, regardless of whether it's Switch 1 or 2.
I get it's annoying and shady, but you can just do what you've always been able to do with GameStop bundles: return the items you don't want from the bundle.
I really don't get how they can not offer an OLED screen at launch, especially given OLED is now table stakes in many applications. After upgrading to the Switch OLED a few years back, it's a game changer for handheld mode and I'm not sure I can go back.
While I'd be over the moon to get Halo on Switch, I think the real question is whether the Fable games will get the same treatment. Because, what I wouldn't give to play through them again (especially Fable II).
It would be nice to get more ports of classic Star Wars titles that are actually good, like Rebel Assault 1/2 and any of the X-Wing titles or X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.
I've had mine for about a month and a half, now. Overall, I like it from a functionality perspective. My goal was to move my phone off my nightstand and away from my head and this allowed me to do that. I wish there were more franchise themes available, as I'm mostly just into Zelda, but I assume Nintendo will continue adding more.
Just wasted $20 on this over the weekend. And as someone who played Worms extensively in the late 90s, this game has not aged well and the controls are incredibly clunky on Switch. I honestly may not play it again.
@VHSGREMLIN THANK YOU. I'll never, ever understand how so many fans just turn the other cheek or even praise Nintendo for completely mailing it in when it comes to adding content to a paid service - content which they already have and which could be released much quicker. This game's been out for 34 years, why do they need months more to release it on NSO? Why have they added so few games for N64 while continuing to charge a premium for it? Total joke.
@canaryfarmer It's at least alluded to in the second opinion. GoldenEye and PD are, imo, unplayable without the Switch N64 controller. The reverse joycon trick is still hot garbage, though a marginal improvement.
Have to agree with the second opinion. GoldenEye is far and away the better game. Losing the relative rigidity of licensed content resulted in a game that didn't know what it wanted to be. The weapons were absurd and unbalanced and the fact that even with the memory expansion, the console still struggled mightily at times, really ruined it for me.
@KingBurger It would be nice, but in all fairness there are about a million pretty easy ways to play those titles (and all of the classic, ScummVM-based LucasArts titles) at this point.
@LadyCharlie I don't disagree - but I also wonder how much in lost revenue Sweeney's legal fight with Apple cost them over the last few years, since Fortnite has never returned to the iOS App Store since it began.
While it's cool to see fans outside of Japan finally get to try some of the Japan only titles, I'm baffled and frustrated by the 1st party titles that still haven't made it to NSO, namely Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, among others.
Not to be a negative Nancy, but the continued lack of new classic games for NSO and Expansion Pack is really beginning to irk me. They announced Gameboy and GBA and it's been at best a trickle of releases since then. What are we paying for, exactly?

Re: Review: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection (Switch 2) - A Killer Kompilation, But Online Is A Mess At Launch
Considering how much of this they nailed, 7/10 feels a little low, imo, unless you're planning to revise once the online play issues are resolved.

Re: The Switch eShop And Steam Are Buckling Under The Weight Of Silksong
@abbyhitter I don't understand why you like something that I don't and therefore it can't be valid.
Re: Team Cherry Provides One Last Silksong Update Before Launch
@BeefSanta You seem fun
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong "Special Announcement" Is Coming Today
Aside from the release date reveal, very anticlimactic "event". Just showed the trailer again, and the release date.
Re: Forget Silksong, This New Terminator 2D Overview Trailer Looks Stupidly Good

Re: "One Of The Slowest Modern LCDs I've Ever Seen" - Digital Foundry's John Linneman On Switch 2's Display
It was really a misstep to offer an inferior display to the most recent Switch 1 display. Should've been an OLED, especially for $450, imo.

Even though it's a tenuous one, it's yet another datapoint that suggests Nintendo isn't offering an OLED screen option at launch.

It's not explicitly mentioned, but based on the screenshot of the multiplayer lobby are we to assume it supports NSO multiplayer?

@Serpenterror And Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 is one of the best Gameboy games ever made, so I fail to see the issue!

@CharlieGirl Those were remasters done by a 3rd party studio, while this is a straight port. Not apples-to-apples.
