Pretty sure pillars of eternity 2, super meat boy forever and yo-kai watch 4 didn't come out this year. I desperately want to play all three on switch so stop taunting me!

I just realized that this game's existence and release date confirms that huge Capcom leak that lists their next 4 years of scheduled game releases.

@JimmySpades That doesn't explain the lack of good new announcements. If you look at the release schedule for 2021 both nintendo and Sony have an amazing line-up. If anything, the slowdown caused a lot of games to get pushed back so there should be even more things to talk about after a slow year. Maybe all the big announcements have already been revealed though leaving slim pickings.

Grats to all the winners, although I would have loved to see Hades sweep. Can you imagine an indie clearing up at an awards ceremony? Hades was my personal pick for many of these categories but it did take home two wins which is nice.

Side note; the game announcements this year were very weak across the board. What happened?

Soooo ghosts and goblins comes out the same week as persona 5 strikers and bravely default 2? Which is like a week removed from mario 3d world and a month before monster hunter rise... maybe change that date, capcom?

Delay makes sense. Get out from under the shadow cast by cyberpunk. Despite being very different games, launching too close to a major tentpole release would impact sales negatively.

@Rodan2000 No way. Handheld resolution is very low compared to docked. Best comparison is the title screen. Since its a very simple image (just doom slayer standing against the backdrop of earth) its very noticeable how blurry and jaggy his model is in handheld vs on tv.

@nessisonett I would love for a re-release of the original LucasArts game. I have very fond memories playing that with one of my best friends when I was in fifth grade.

Not a fan of either, but the Japanese one at least matches the look of the game. I HATE 90s Capcom box art. The breath of fire and mega man legends series take the cake, but super ghouls and ghosts is channeling a similarly awful vibe.

This is an unrealistic expectation, but I wish companies would coordinate releases better. During a six week period starting mid feb and ending in late March we are getting mario 3d world, P5S, bravely default 2 and monster hunter rise? Good grief.

@UltimateOtaku91 We have no idea what Nintendo is planning next year beside mario 3d world but 2021 is already looking pretty solid on third party alone. Bravely default, no more heroes, not one but TWO monster hunter games, Smt5, world ends with you 2, rune factory and disgaea are all coming out next year by summer at the latest. Its even better in the west since we will be getting a handful of 2020 japanese releases like smt3 HD and P5S.

After animal crossing this is my most played game on Switch. Love the series and would like more, please. Nintendo, seriously, where's my XC3?

@RandomAfricanGamer I'm not sure i understand your comment. Are you saying I don't like smash/melee? Far from it. I love the whole smash series very deeply, but I also have major issues with the attitudes of the more hard-core tournament fan groups. My life, and honestly the lives of most smash fans, would be better off without these people.

Just tear down the community and let's all collectively say, "Good riddance". The smash community is a toxic landfill that has irritated me for years. Initially I was able to ignore it all because it just felt like entitled gatekeeping from your typical gross online gamer groups but once the sexual misconduct surfaced this past summer I realized there was no redemption for these people.

@HotGoomba___Rebrand Great game but it isn't the easiest to understand and takes a lot of commitment before things "click"... you know, gameplay that doesn't lend itself well to a demo. Anywho, there's an amazing game buried in there if you're willing to dig.

@Moonlessky Have you tried a full shutdown? (hold power button for 10+ seconds) If not it may help. I discovered anytime i changed sd cards I would get issues even if I turned off my switch. Only a full shutdown would resolve the issue.

Wow, an update that actually does something. Not gonna lie, the ability to save photos/vids to my phone is very cool with all the funny things my sister and i capture in animal crossing.

Wait, 17.5gb? Isn't that smaller than doom 2016 (with multi-player dlc)? Maybe I'm wrong. Ill have to check. Shame they couldn't have gotten a physical version as they could have used a 16gb card like they did with 2016 and only had the consumer download a very small 1-3gb required update to get the game running.

Age of calamity for me. Trying to 100% on very hard without overleveling for challenges... some of these are very stressful, but very satisfying when you clear them.

@Silly_G Generally speaking, previous DLC passes for nintendo warrior games, and even ultimate alliance, were worth their price and then some. Also, its possible these characters MIGHT be part of a free update before any paid content as they also have a track record of giving free new characters that are already part of the base game but are for some reason not playable at launch.

This event was super fun. I dare say I may have enjoyed this more than Halloween and Halloween is my favorite holiday IRL. I didn't have any materials stored besides mushrooms and pumpkins so it was fun just fishing and deep sea diving with purpose again. Took me a little over an hour and the rewards are nice and will easily carry over into christmas.

Oof, 2020 was a weird year for nintendo based on all of those old games on this list. On a positive note, 2021 is already looking pretty stacked with third party titles so whatever nintendo brings will just make the year that much more interesting

Good lord. 1tb micro sd cards were on sale a few weeks ago for $180 on Amazon and they will probably hit the $150 mark for black Friday. No idea who buys these branded ones.

I just like arguing with people online, especially those who live in their own pocket dimensions where reality somehow reflects differently. @CharizardEmperor according to who? 79 on meta ain't bad, 80 from players on meta is shockingly good given its track record. Most YouTubeers are praising the game like gamexplain, rgt85 and playeressence. So you're one of those people that has confirmation bias and is actively seeking negativity or you are cherry picking universally commented on issues like frame rate and blowing it out of proportion. You claim its worse that HWDE and yet everything I have seen says the opposite. Oh wait, thousands have said its bad... yeah versus the hundreds of thousands that like it. Sure, real reliable sources.

Not surprising. But hey, Capcom, if you want to increase sales just drop the "2". Call it "monster hunter stories: wings of ruin" because there are people out there that won't touch a game if they haven't played the first even if they are different self contained stories.

Dragons dogma, power stone, final fight, onimusha and captain commando? I won't hold my breath. Also, thats A LOT of games for a company like Capcom. In the last four years they've really only released three RE games, a new monster hunter, a devil may cry and new Megaman and I'm supposed to believe they're pushing out more content than a first party studio or a third party juggernaut like ubisoft? I would love to be proven wrong but this just looks like one of those fake smash roster leaks that pop up on resetera now and then.

At first I thought he got his hands on a physical copy early and was therefore breaking NDA but realized that he just downloaded it from the Australian eshop. The ban seems a little harsh, if they don't want stuff like this happening have a better global digital distribution.

Weak. I prefer physical but I guess I can accept digital. Just bought a 1TB micro sd so this is somewhat perfect timing. Anywho, I already bought and played the game on PC but i'll support this release because I love Doom and greatly respect Panic Button, and hey, Doom in my hands!

@SolarisPolaris I think you're missing his/her point. Sega is bleeding money right now and has been making stupid business decisions for years now. They keep releasing surveys asking what fans want and continue to not do those things. One of the cheapest ways they could make some quick cash would be to release their games on more platforms. The release of p4 on steam proves its a great idea and yet they seem to still be in the "wait and see" phase. To top it all off they are missing golden opportunities to strike while the irons hot; allowing joker in smash but not actually bringing a game that features the character onto the platform is just leaving money on the table.

@Retro_Player_77 Considering a new MH game is right around the corner i doubt any of that will negatively impact japanese consumers' opinions on the switch.

@Bizzyb Yup, its especially painful to Sony and Microsoft since they sell their consoles at a loss and make most of their money off of services, games and accessories.

Halloween was the most fun my sister and I had with ACNH since swimming was introduced in early summer. Really looking forward to these holiday events!
