Re: Poll: What's The Best 3D Mario Game?

Crimson_Ridley

Super Mario 64 was the first one I played, but Super Mario Sunshine is my favourite. It's always disheartening to read how many people dislike it, but I loved the game. The Blue Coins don't even bother me that much, which is a common complaint with the game.

I'm perfectly happy with people playing on whatever difficulty they want to. Personally, I play on the hardest difficulty I'm able to as I enjoy the challenge, but completely understand that many players don't get the same enjoyment from it.

I don't exactly have a lot in my life that I'm proud of, and have been through some terrible experiences (depression, trauma, losing my father to suicide and spending time in hospital for multiple attempts myself, etc.), and games have always been a way for me to keep going through all the hard times.
I feel a sense of accomplishment in my life when I overcome a hard challenge in a game, as sad as that may sound to some people, and it gives me hope that I'll be able to experience the same accomplishment in a real-world situation.

Hard difficulties and challenges are my own form of inspiration, in a similar vein to why I'm a completionist. It's something I can take control of, something I can achieve with enough effort and determination, and I use those boosts to my self-confidence to better myself in life.

I know many people will probably think I'm quite silly for putting a lot of my self-worth in to something as trivial as a video game, but it helps me.

Re: Nintendo Is Deleting Hacked Dream Island Uploads In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I don't really have a horse in this race, but I'm going to give my input anyway.

Firstly, a user above considered people that disagree with another person's opinion part of a dictatorship mentality. Grow up. It's such a thing called a debate, we are encouraged to disagree on topics as that creates dialogue.

Secondly, is time travelling in the game cheating? The game has been designed around the real-world calender, and expects you to play the game in real-time, so breaking that and playing future or past days is breaking the rule set of the game, however minor you consider it to be.

You can argue that people don't have the time to play it each day or on certain days, and that's perfectly reasonable. However, the rule set is what it is, and if you break it you are effectively cheating the system. You are unlocking things quicker than playing the game as intended, and many will argue that means you're giving yourself an advantage, though it's not affecting anyone else.

If you circumvent the systems in a game, no matter how miniscule you believe them to be, you are cheating. Nobody is going to drag you over the coals for it, only ask that you accept it for what it is. I have time travelled in older Animal Crossing titles, and knew I was cheating the system. I didn't try and justify it by saying that because I do something in one game series, I'm entitled to do it in another.

Please forgive my ramblings. I'm sick today and extremely tired. πŸ˜‚

Re: People Keep Buying The Wrong PokΓ©mon Sword And Shield DLC

@MrMetroid Then the parent should check what game they have. If the child said their Call of Duty game was called Battlefield and the parent bought a Battlefield pass, would that be on the company to sort it out? No, that would be user error. This is not an oversight, the pass is clearly labelled for which game it is intended for.

You can blame Nintendo all you want, but people need to learn to walk on their own feet instead of being carried through life.
