I've always wanted to play a platformer/action/adventure game featuring characters from both Sonic and Mario IPs together.
Maybe it can happen someday...
There aren't that many countries with a good enough network infrastructure/connection quality to gather costumers from right now.
But, hey, everyone's saying it's the future and Google took the first step. Let's see where it leads... It's not like they'll go bankrupt or anything if Stadia fails hard.
I just hope that as long as there is demand and market for "boxes", Ninti, MS and Sony will keep making them. Technology usually works by killing and replacing what came before and i'll be sad the day that happens to consoles. In the future let them coexist as long as it's viable, even as a niche market if needed be.
My biggest "wow" moment in gaming to date, came out of me watching Super Mario 64 running for the first time at my local vide game rental store. Seeing Mario run freely inside that big 3D sandbox environment, spinning Bowser by his tail... My childish brain just couldn't fathom how things had progressed from the 2D sprites of SMW, to something like what i was seeing in SM64.
Mario Kart and Metroid Prime both have great potential to enjoy a VR entry/mode. Let's see where this first step takes Nintendo in regards of their future in the VR industry.
i'm halfway through my 256 gb card. I can see myself upgrading to 1 tb eventually. Digital only for me nowadays, but switch games are very small and i don't buy so many of them to justify such an increase in storage right now.
Prevent another M 2? Why? It's my favorite. And yes, i have played them all. If they could make the gameplay a little better and tone down the drama a bit, with the new graphics now on the switch and all that. It could be very interesting for me.
I agree that the tech it's still at an very early stage and all those concerns will be addressed given due time.
And that's why i got the PSVR in the first place. To test it and contribute for the advancement of this tech.
Maybe (probably) i wont live enough to see it fully realized into a full dive experience in the likes of what we see in The Matrix or SOA, but it'll get pretty good in the next couple years, i think.
As a owner of PSVR i have to admit the tech (home at least) isn't very good at this point. Low res and motion sickness abound... Plus all that awful wiring.
With that said, i do wish i could play Mario Kart VR. It looks very fun judging by the videos i've seen and comments from those who have played it.
Aside from all that, i would be very glad if Nintendo are to indeed revisit all of their dormant IPs, as they initially said they would with the switch.
A new kid icarus for switch, without that wacky/gimmick control scheme of the 3DS, could be a nice start.
Yep, but i meant an official release by Sega.
AM2R was very well made and i liked it a lot. Doesn't mean i didn't also bought and enjoyed Samus Returns on the 3DS.
As for the "mania" approach, it could be cool as well. I played Sonic and it was great. Maybe a future game with this philosophy or the option to choose old and new graphics in this one (as capcom did for SF2 HD).
Alas i personally like to see things evolving rather than taking a step back. So a new art style is most welcome by my standards. No problem with it whatsoever.
Looking good as far as i can see from those shots.
I'm just getting a little worried that Axl and Blaze will be the only playable characters. We need at least one more.
Dunno how many players they're aiming for in the multiplayer department, but 4 player multi could be interesting now that it can be done with no major hicuups to the system.
It was for all intents and purposes Mario's first true outing into the RPG genre. Personally i think it deserves far more love than it gets. Nothing against Mario&Luigi and the Paper games, but i would most definitely like to see more of the one game that started it all.
@Mgene15 As a dumb teen in the early 00's i sold all my old consoles and games for cheap to trade them in for the new stuff. This classic console line of late is a good way for me to correct the mistakes of my youth.
I'm sorta of becoming a collector of these mini classic consoles. Already got the NES, SNES and Neo Geo. Most likely will also be getting the PS. And the MD once it releases. Got room to spare for even more if they decide to make a classic GB, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast... So on and so forth.
I know a lot of people here (myself included) are non believers in the reworking to allow for classic controls in the remaster, but i do remember one time Miyamoto himself acknowledged that many people disliked the motion controls and gave up on the game halfway because of that. So much so that they gave up on it almost completely for BOTW.
Maybe the reason they're taking so long to release a SS remaster is exactly because of reworking the mechanics to fit a traditional playstyle.
Wishful thinking, i know... But a think is plausible and feasible. Just don't know if a "simple" remaster is gonna be worth all that trouble.
The freebies are ok, but i just want/need more out of this game. Wanna keep on playing it.
With Zelda i'm happy with the original content and Mario Kart 8 does not interest me as i already played it a lot on Wii U. Mario Kart 9 is what i want now.
Young Dave in the SM64 video reminds me of Billy Kane from Fatal Fury.
I'm over 30, but not from the UK. Didn't know you guys had that show over there. Seems rather interesting for it's time.
Maybe i'll catch a video on Dave's youtube channel to get a feeling for what it was like back then.
if they do keep BOTW style i just have four little wishes:
1 - No more breakable weapons and if possible, upgradable ones instead (or at least).
2 - More dungeons.Better in size and diversity.
3 - Let us imbue a costume with the others special abilities after said costumes are at max level. That way we can use our favorite costume for 100% of the time instead of having to switch it every 5 minutes.
I might give it a shot if this actually turns out to be decent. That are a rare few of those adaptions that i do like to a certain degree. Even when critics say otherwise.
That last leak that came out right before the direct had some interesting names on it. At least Ken was right on the spot... If more of it turns out to be factual, i wish for Geno (or any Mario RPG unique char), Mach Rider and Banjo. Sora would also be a good choice, as i see many people asking for him and i think he could really fit well within Nintendo's universe.
I actually liked this "Fatal Cutie" rendition of Terry. Got me by surprise for sure. I think it's fun to play around with goofy ideas now and then. I haven't played the game and probably never will, but i liked the idea. If the gameplay was more refined as is in KOF i might had given this a shot.

Those are actually quite nice.
Better than Linkle tbh.
Re: Random: This Kirby Robot Vacuum Cleaner Is Amazing, But Sadly Just An April Fools' Joke
That's actually a pretty good and sound idea. I endorse this becoming a thing.

Re: Random: Nintendo Gets Crafty With Its Yoshi's Crafted World Promo Materials
Agreed. The game should come with a manual like this. It's just a perfect fit.
I'm yet to play DMC5, but after that, Yoshi's next.

Yep.
Forgot that one.
But indeed he was.
Re: Devil May Cry Boss Addresses Dante Smash Ultimate Demand, Says Series Should Be On Switch First
Some sort of DMC spin off exclusively for the switch could be interesting.
Chances for that are pretty low, but not that lower than a port for DMC5.

Got to get at least that purple one.
Re: Guide: Every Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Controller Available Right Now
Got the neon red and blue that came with it.
Could go for the red ones or the neon pink and green.
But i barely use those things.
Docked mode and Pro controller is where its at for me.
If Nintendo ever does a cool Pro controller special edition i might indulge myself with it.
Re: Yoshi’s Crafted World Launches Exclusively For The Switch On 29th March
About time.
Now how about adding Boshi into the mix? lol
Re: Gaming Analysts Predict 'Switch Pro' And 'Switch Lite' Revisions For 2019
I could go for a "pro" version if it supports 4K HDR and with a little bit more internal storage space.
Also liked those lite mock-ups with different colors covering the entirety of the system. Instead of the ever present black screen portion.

Somo sorta of remake for Mario RPG would also be appreciated. Maybe even in "Paper style" just a thought...
Square and Nintendo seem to be buddy buddies again, so why not? Since a sequel is probably completely out of the table.
Re: Feature: 17 Remasters We'd Love To See On Switch In 2019
I mostly agree with this.
But i'd rather have Mario 64 instead of sunshine or galaxy.
And while they're at it, how about finishing "Metroid 64"? The tech that wasn't there then, is here right now...
Re: Feature: The Final Wii U Games We'd Like To See On Switch In 2019
I could consider buying 3D World again for the switch. Loved that game on WiiU.
