If I have to "demand" classic FF games on a Nintendo console (the reason they exist in the first place), then I couldn't care less about them. SE can suck a knob.
I mean, DC said "NO GRATUITOUS VIOLENCE" and we got Mortal Kombat vs. DC. There were no crazy fatalities, and the game still retained its atmosphere. MK vs. SF could be just like that.
So many cancelled games that people would actually want, yet they release million selling gems like Code Name: Steam and Hey, Pikmin! Sometimes I think Nintendo's CEO's are doing everything in their power to keep Nintendo from being a true success.
Nintendo is the only one of the big 3 that is actually doing anything to truly advance the medium. Sony is busy making interactive movies, and Microsoft is obsessed with getting as many people to play the same game as possible for the longest amount of time, but only Nintendo is trying to take gaming to the true next level, and it's with these quirky experinces.
There is no Trilogy for Switch. They'll release 3 "remastered" games separately and charge $60 each for them. Nintendo only does collections for the oldest games possible. Any newer game (Post NGC) is going to get the remastered treatment.
I really hope this eats into Nintendo's Switch sales. They've been coasting for years, and this is just the thing to scare those dinosaur executives at NCL. Nintendo is only good when it's backed into a corner, never when it's doing well.
The price is right, it looks good, and it plays steam games? I really hope this lights a fire under Nintendo's asses, since they have been dragging theirs for years.
Why is it that the British put the latter video/pic on the left and the before/older video on the right? It's so freaking annoying. Before should ALWAYS go on the left, signifying the past. The right should always house the later/newer image/video, signifying the present/future.
The fact that there isn't mainline Persona game on Switch is asinine. They should at the very least put 4 Golden on it, but Atlus has the most ridiculous allegiance issues out of almost any company in gaming. I mean, Vanillawares games would KILL on Switch, yet they keep them as Sony exclusives. Someone needs to wake their dinosaur executuves up from their naps.
It better be. I mean, every Nintendo franchise that has had a Switch release has done super well. Look at Xenoblade 2. The game wouldn't have sold anywhere near what it has on any other console. If this game doesn't push millions, I don't know what we can do as fans to ensure the future of the series.
I'm so tired of Nintendo's Switch commercials featuring so many damn people. I don't want to see the people who are playing the damn machine. Instead, show me the ***** games, gotdammit.
You know, as much as I hate mobile gaming, Mario Party would make a killing as a mobile game. I wonder why it hasn't happened yet? That should have been Nintendo's first mobile game.
I mean, it's a "game" that requires no real skill to play, has no story, and it's designed for the lowest common denominator. Of course he loves it. It's the game he wishes all Nintendo games would be, if it were up to him.
I remember the atrocity that was the last Donkey Kong show (those horrendous songs will forever be a stain on animation, as a whole), so I'm not at all excited about this. Nintendo has the funds and the know-how to start its own animation studio to handle its IP, they're just too ***** cheap to do it.
So, none of them really play games anymore or the last game they played was in the 80's . Got it. Nice to see that NCL is still run by out-of-touch geriatrics.
I'd rather pay $60 for a 2D game with good gameplay than for Sony's interactive movies. I haven't spent a single dime on any of Sony's "AAA" "Games", but I sure as hell am going to buy Dread Day one.
Asking if 2D games are worth the same as 3D games is like asking if Traditional animated films are less worthy than CG movies. And I'd take a Studio Ghibli film over any crap Dreamworks ***** out on a yearly basis.
I want a new F-Zero, but the LAST thing I would want from a new entry is "Ultra-realism". Who the ***** wants ultra-realism in a comic book stylized futuristic racer? Leave that crap to Sony. I want a stylized, stylish F-Zero with the same character designer the series has always had.
Take Miyamoto out of the equation, make a straight-up sequel to 64, and you have a hit. There are no other space shooters out right now and it's a genre that is due for a resurgence. Just keep Miyamotos archaic game philosophy out of it.
Why does SE announce games so far in advance? I just don't understand why they do this. They literally announce games that have barely left the planning stage, and for what? It's so damn annoying.
Nintendo always does this with their games. Just the slightest details that really make their games jump to the level that no other developer can match.
So, all these people waited until the announcement of a new game to FINALLY buy the old games? And they wonder why it took so long for Nintendo to make a new game in the series. We've been telling you people to play Zero Mission and Fusion for YEARS, even Samus Returns deserves your money, but y'all only care when everyone else told you to care. Typical.
They obviously have the talent, they just need help with direction and quality. Nintendo knows how to identify a worthy studio when they see one, and as long as Nintendo provides some form of quality assurance, I can only see this as a net positive.
At this point, I'll take a re-release of the PS3 games (1+2 ONLY), no remaster required. EA hasn't gotten a red cent from me since DS3, so I'll be happy to just get teh first two games again on a modern console.
I really want this game to sell what the franchise deserves to sell. This is its "Fire Emblem Awakening" moment. If we can prove to Nintendo that the game can sell a minimum of 5 million copies, it wouldn't take so long to get another one. No Metroid-like game comes close to what Nintendo does with this franchise.

Re: Nintendo Denies Claims It'll Make Increased Profits With Switch OLED, "No Plans" For Other Model

The Switch OLED isn't worth the price and the Steamdeck will be dead within a year, so neither. Waiting for Switch 2.
