When we reviewed Rayark and Flyhigh Works' Deemo back in September 2017, we praised it for being a fantastic rhythm game with an incredible soundtrack and fun mechanics. It was already pretty great value for money back then, but now, almost four years later, it's just getting better and better.
A newly released update for the game, taking it to Version 1.8, adds another 18 tracks to its library. These new songs take the grand total up to a whopping 323, a considerably higher figure than the 200-or-so tracks available at launch.

You can watch a trailer for this latest update above – some of the new songs included are listed below, with thanks to Gematsu:
- AD:PIANO Collection 3
- “FEHLT -DEEMO edition-“
- “Kaguya”
- “Quimi (DEEMO Edit)”
- Emotional Addict Collection
- “Never Ending Tales”
- “The Last Decision”
- “Snow Thaw”
- Spring Selection
- “Valentining”
- “Spring Breeze”
- “Wisteria”
- Shattered Memories 2
- “Shedding Season”
- “Aquarelle: 010”
- “Out of the Box”
The Switch has plenty of fantastic music and rhythm games, and Deemo's certainly right up there.
Have you played this one? Do you have any other rhythm game recommendations to share? Fire away in the comments.

Been a fair while since I've played it but still right up there as one of the best rhythm games on the system.
That's the original, right? I still feel like getting it rather than the CG remake.
Fantastic!! I love deemo. Do you have to beat anything to unlock them or will they just appear in the track selection list?
Could teach Nintendo a thing or two about supporting their games.
Been thinking about picking this one up. Enjoyed Voez quite a bit but having another rhythm game wouldn't hurt.
Also what I wouldn't give to have a good rhythm game with Nintendo songs. I know Jam with the Band comes to mind but those were like, midi songs if I remember correctly. Not exactly what I'd be looking for in one of these games, and the gameplay in it wasn't that fun either to me. Would be looking more for something along the lines of Elite Beat Agents in style of gameplay with that.
Hmmm, I still consider "Hide & Dance" the best rhythm game. But it would sure benefit from 300+ tracks, as opposed to twelve it's got.
Better late then no updates....
Does anyone know if the story continues minor spoilers beyond that evil looking character showing up? /spoilers I've done like 50 songs since then, and nothing has happened.
