I thought that the Switch was only supposed to be about 20 - 25% weaker than the original Xbox One. If that is the case then I don't see why it couldn't run a lot of games with reduced resolution, frame rate or objects (like Doom, Wolfenstein 2, Dragonball Fighterz, Mortal Kombat, Hellblade etc).
I haven't played Witcher 3 as most western RPGs tend to spam spiders as an enemy type, but from what I've seen the size of the game (around 50GB on Xbox/PS4) seems more of an issue than any of the technical shortcomings.
I think that Suda 51"s best work was the Wii exclusive NMH 1 & 2; perhaps because they felt like they were designed around the systems features. A lot of his multiplatform game releases since then have felt a bit more generic, so while I'm not too bothered about TSB going multiplatform I would like NMH3 to be a Switch exclusive and use all of the consoles features too.
I have this on Xbox One and it's ok. There was a decent amount of content and it was only $20.
@graysoncharles When I played the game back in the day it was a lot different. Fusions were hard work, but now there are synchro monsters and XYZ monsters that are brought out with ease. My opponent will have summoned three or four 3000 ATK effect monsters on their first turn, while I was just excited that I managed to bring out the Dark Magician. I completed all the character duels, but online I've only ever managed to win by using Skull Servants.
The 'HD' ports were lazy to start with (just being upscaled with no improvement to textures), so this must be the laziest version of all as it's just a straight port of those.
@saintayu We maxed out our standard Xbox One and PS4 within 6 months. My One X was maxed out on the day I got it, so I added a 4TB external drive so that all of my games are playable with deleting and reinstalling all the time.
My Switch started off with a 128GB card, which I filled up fairly quickly and after the first year I had to upgrade to a 400GB card. I still have 130GB left so hopefully that will last me long enough until 1TB cards are more affordable.
Anyway, I'll be getting MUA3 digital, along with Fire Emblem, Astral Chain and Mario Maker 2.
This weekend I just played a bunch of Gamepass games to get achievements, so that I could get enough points to get a $5 Xbox gift card, which I then used to get another $1 month of Xbox Live.
@Dilated I'm with you. I have a Xbox One X with a 75" 4K TV and I haven't seen any games that really blow me away with their visuals; they still just look like games only 'more detailed and shinier'. I also play a variety of other systems all the way down to my 8 bit C64 and after about 20 minutes I forget about how basic the graphics are and just enjoy the games.
The strap would be great if Labo VR was ever actually available to buy in a store near me. Weeks later and they still have only had 3 for sale in total.
More games is always good, but unless this is reasonably priced (under $15 max) then I'm not interested, especially as the series was superseded by Bayonetta anyway.
This May 4th I've been watching the Star Wars OT and playing a few games of Battlefront 2 as Chewie. RIP Peter Mayhew.
Aside from that I'm playing Reigns: Game of Thrones on the Switch, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, Vampyre and a bunch of other Gamepass games on the Xbox One X.
@Dayton311 I dont understand 'TATE' mode. If it's for flipping the screen vertically then wouldn't it make the Switch screen really tiny? What difference is there to it being flipped?
I'm busy putting together Thanos armour for next weekend's comic expo, but when I need a break I'll be playing the Gradius series of games from the Konami Arcade Collection.
I'll be getting Fallen Order on the One X as that has the majority of my Star Wars games on it. I'll wait until it's used or on sale though as I dont like giving EA money.
@Ambassador_Kong The gap is smaller than it was for the 7th gen though and Lucasarts had The Force Awakens for both the HD 360/PS3 and for the 480p Wii (which actually turned out to be the best version). Its hard to say for this game as they haven't shown it yet, but I have seen very few games from this gen that wouldn't have been possible in the past gen in some form, so I often put it down to either laziness/ineptitude/money when it comes to ports of games.
@NintenGuy I dont know about the UK or US supplies but here in Canada my local stores both only had 3 kits for sale in total, so theres no way it could chart.
I usually wait for Lego games to drop in price before I get them, the exception being The Force Awakens on the Wii U which I bought at launch due to the eShop having it priced incorrectly (was set to the 3DS price for the first day). If this one is actually the entire saga though then I might have to get it sooner.
I'm super hyped for Endgame and looking forward to MUA3 too. To scratch a bit of the MUA itch I bought the first MUA for the Wii. Its a bit fuzzy looking and the motion controls are a bit annoying but for just $5 I cant really complain.
Disney+ sounds like being great value. Having live action and animated Marvel and Star Wars shows is reason enough for me to subscribe. All the Disney and Pixar movies/shows will be great for the kids too.
As for a Switch app, well more options are good even though we have a multitude of TVs, tablets and smartphones to watch on.
If they actually release all of the tables then I might be interested. I got really fed up with Zen on the Wii U as they took ages to release new tables, if they released them at all.
I'd like to pick up BOTW, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 or Octopath as a birthday present to myself. With the UK to Canadian exchange rate I think it would virtually work out to be the same as normal price though give or take $5 - $10, so hopefully there'll be a North American sale too.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 8th)
This weekend I'll be playing Broforce on the Switch, Robo Recall and Moss on the Quest.
Re: PlatinumGames Talks About Bayonetta 3, Astral Chain And Reviving The Wonderful 101 On Switch
@shaneoh
Yes the Wii U version of Zombi U is much better than the PS4/XBO versions in both gameplay and graphics.
I love Platinum's games. Astral Chain is already on my wishlist and Bayonetta 3 will top my most wanted on any platform.
Re: There Is "No Plan" To Bring Persona 5 Royal To Other Consoles, Atlus Reiterates
Then why did they put that "Joker' guy in Smash?
I'm so glad that I didn't buy the season pass for characters that I dont know or care about.
Re: Save The Entire Galaxy When Citizens Of Space Arrives On 18th June
I think that I got the first game in a Wii U humble bundle but I dont remember ever actually playing it. Maybe one day.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 1st)
Still focused on the Oculus Quest, playing Superhot VR, Beat Saber and watching some 3D movies.
I bought Broforce on the Switch as it was finally on sale, so ive been playing that in my downtime.
Re: Spice And Wolf Brings A VR Anime Experience To The Switch This Summer
It's cool that Labo VR is included amongst the other platforms. If I buy this though it'll be on the Oculus Quest.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 25th)
It's all about VR for me this weekend, so I'll be playing some Beat Saber, Vader Immortal, Drop Dead and Space Pirate Trainer on the Oculus Quest.
The kids get to play with the Labo VR Blaster.
Re: Video: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron Gets A Stunning HD Makeover In Unreal Engine 4
Could Disney remaster or port Rogue Squadron or would they have to wait for EA's license to end?
Re: Review: Assassin's Creed III Remastered - The Franchise Runt Gets A Clunky Switch Port
When the Wii U version looks and runs beter than the Switch version there is really no excuse.

As I finally managed to find Labo VR in a store I'll be giving that a whirl. It'll be like a warm up for when I get my Oculus Quest on Tuesday.
Re: Project Nimbus: Complete Edition Takes The Mecha Action Fight To Daemon X Machina
Thinking of games featuring mechs, I wish that Project Sakura Wars was coming to the Switch.
Re: Talking Point: Does The Nintendo Switch Game Voucher Programme Offer Value For Money?
@rjejr
The vouchers are $132.99 Canadian. As full price games are $79.99 its potentially a $26.99 saving.
I didnt realise that you needed an active online sub to use the vouchers, mine expires in September so I'd have to use them by then or renew it.

Re: Nintendo Launches Game Vouchers Discount Programme For Switch Online Users
Canadian vouchers costs $133. Its worth it if you're buying a couple of $80 games, but with anything below that you could actually lose money.
I'll be getting 2, as I'll likely buy Astral Chain, Fire Emblem, MUA3 and Mario Maker 2 anyway.

Konami Arcade Classics (Gradius series)

Shouldnt EA think about actually releasing some good games before having a "best hits' series on the Switch?
Re: Astral Chain Has No Link To Axed Xbox One Project Scalebound
I bought a Xbox One pretty much just for Scalebound and Rare Replay; so I was very disappointed when it was canceled.
Astral Chains and Bayonetta 3 for my Switch more than make up for it though.
Re: Here Are The Top 30 Best-Selling eShop Games Of April 2019 (North America)
I wonder if Dragons Dogma's 18th place is enough to warrant a DMC5 port.
Re: PlatinumGames' Studio Head Talks About Strong Professional Relations With Nintendo
I think that Platinum are the best in the business when it comes to action games.
I'm going to replay Madworld before I pick up Astral Chains. It was such an underappreciated game.
Re: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order Assembles Two New Playable Characters
Day one purchase.
Hopefully they'll add more characters as they go. I'd happily pay for an Agents of Shield team dlc, or even just Quake.
Re: Arcade Archives Ninja Gaiden Sneaks Onto Nintendo Switch Tomorrow
I used to enjoy this game in the arcade and have it on Wii VC; but it will definitely be going on my eShop wish list.
Re: Random: Leave Cardboard Behind With This 3D-Printed Labo VR Headset
Looks good. Shame that Labo VR is still not available in any stores yet though.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 27th)
With Avengers Endgame, the weekends comic expo and Game of Thrones I had no time to play anything. It was such an epic weekend.
Now that the dust has settled I'll be trying Reign: Game of Thrones though.
