I played some of Outlaws with Ubisoft+ on Xbox, it wasn't good. Now I'm just waiting for it to drop to below $20 on sale, just for my Star Wars game collection.
I'd totally forgot this was releasing this month. I know the controls will be a pain as nothing comes close to the speed and accuracy of a Wii Remote, but I'm buying it anyway.
I've never got into the 'Souls' series, maybe because I originally played Demon Souls and it just didn't click with me. People seem to like the later Dark Souls entries and Elden Ring, but I imagine they have similar foundations.
I'd definitely be interested in a Cyberpunk 2077 port as I enjoyed it on PC but never found the time to completely finish it. Outside of that I'd like to see Nintendo continue an N64 revival, bringing back games like F-Zero and Pilotwings.
I remember when the isometric racers were all the rage, led by Sprint and then followed by RC Pro Am and the Micromachines series. There's obviously been many more over the years (mainly indie titles) but most seem to lack the 'soul' or 'feel' of those titles.
This one looks a bit slow, but maybe it could be good. My favorite of the genre was Racing Destruction Kit on the C64, which was really slow and only 2 player, but the customizations were incredibly fun.
Definitely picking this up just for Rastan Saga. It was one of my go to arcade games (along with Robocop and Strider) that I could complete on a single credit. Of course it took many credits previously to get to that point of memorization and I'd probably struggle to get past the first level now, but the nostalgia is strong.
It looks great. I wonder what the gyro controls will be like though, as I generally prefer the Wii pointer over the Switch gyros.
Do I really want to buy a game that I already own 3 times (NGC, Wii Trilogy, Wii U digital)? I probably don't even have a choice, as soon as I pick up my Switch I'll likely have instinctively clicked in the eShop and already hit 'buy'.
I enjoyed The Edge of Time in VR, it was a bit patchy in places but it had a pretty good Doctor Who feel to it. Now I know that the Edge of Reality is practically the same game but with an extra level or so and a little bit of David Tennant added in; but I want to get it anyway. I also know that it'll be a bit buggy on every system, so I'm just waiting to find out how it runs on the Switch before deciding on either on that (for portability) the PC (a few $'s cheaper) or Xbox.
I'm tempted by the option to play Vice City (my favorite in the series) on a handheld but it depends on how it performs and whether it has the original soundtracks.
@idrawrobots that's what I thought too. I guess the reality was that they couldn't be bothered and don't really like Nintendo (a 'special' relationship); so props to PopCap for actually putting the effort in.
Skyward Sword is probably the one Zelda game that Id consider rebuying as it was a great game, I loved the backstory it provided and the gameplay. To me it was slightly let down by the Wii's graphical capabilities as some scenes were terribly jagged.
The Trauma Center series, although really I'd prefer a Trauma Team 2. If they released a bundle with Trauma Center, Trauma Center 2, New Blood and Trauma Team Id buy it day one.
Its a great game, full of ambition, although it doesn't actually achieve all of that ambition. There's no way it would run natively on the Switch, but it would be possible as a streamed game.
@Orpheus79V I believe that the PS5 just runs it in PS4 Pro mode anyway, so not a huge difference.
Rare Replay (especially Blast Corps) was one of the reasons that I originally bought an Xbox One. If it came to the Wii U or the Switch then I'd buy it again in an instant.
@Wexter I think that there could be a shift coming with Xbox for the next gen, they are making all the right moves and the Series X is a much better designed system than the PS5. It'll still be a close race between them and Sony because they lack any stake in Japan; but the Switch releases may have helped a bit there.
I can't see Gamepass making it to the Switch now because like you say Nintendo wouldn't want it to undervalue their software, plus they are taking small steps with cloud based games.
I see people saying they didn't like it on the Wii because of waggle fighting, but you actually used the A button to attack and just tilted the remote up or down for high or low attacks; so no waggle. The only real intense motions were for recharging your katana which involved an up and down movement that looked kind of dirty.
The sequel was better in many ways as it was more polished, but it removed the open world travel and jobs in favor of 2D minigames. Both games are great irreverent fun though and worth picking up.
If Microsoft could get X-Cloud onto the Switch it could be a good way to convince people to get an Xbox and maybe break into the Japanese market too. Technically it's already possible to do if a Switch is running Android. I use Gamepass Ultimate on Xbox, PC and can access X-Cloud on virtually any Android device; it's good to have options.
I'd be happy with a port of Rare Replay even if it omitted the 360 games, although hopefully they could switch in the N64 version of Perfect Dark.
I liked the THQ wrestling games back on the N64 but most since then have been pretty 'meh'. It doesnt help that the wrestlers themselves are pretty dull nowadays too.
I haven't bought a game from EA since NFS on the Wii U. Their disdain for Nintendo and abusive comments towards customers stopped me buying any more of their games. With the amount of trash they release I really haven't missed much.
@sixrings It wasnt the lack of support for the Wii U or Switch that made me dislike EA, but their continual mocking of Nintendo owners did (mostly on their Twitter accounts). I've boycotted EA games since then, as why would I want to buy games from a company that derided me as a consumer.
The biggest shock here is that Amazon are still doing some sort of game thing. I have Prime and had no idea; I thought it ended with Pac Man and a couple of other games on my Fire stick. If they are one of the Xbox competitors then they must have low sales expectations
I'm playing Doctor Who the Edge of Time, Sports Scramble, Path of the Warrior, HellSplit Arena on my Oculus Quest and Nier Automata on the PC. No time for the Switch and probably wont play it that much until I get Astral Chains, the next MUA3 dlc, Bayonetta 3 or MP4 hit.
This weekend I'm playing Doctor Who The Edge of Time and Sports Scramble on my Quest. Then I'm playing The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners and Hellsplit Arena on PCVR/Quest.
If I have any time or energy left I'll continue working at the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 expansions on the Switch.
Broforce ftw!! If you lived through the 80s and watched movies like Commando, Rambo etc then its a really great game, theres just so many cool characters. It's by far the biggest discount on the list too.
It would be nice to get these Wii U ports for people who didn't own the console. I don't think that I would buy them though as I have them all on the Wii U and with the huge amount of Wii U/Wii/VC games that I've got for it I'm not retiring it anytime soon.
I double dipped on Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 but they're a special case.
Lego Skywalker Saga is one of my most wanted titles for 2020. Its great that the game is running well on the Switch, but I'll be buying it for the Xbox because that's my Star Wars game machine.
Theres zero chance of RDR2 appearing on the Switch. Not because the Switch couldn't run the game in some form, but because the game weighs in at over 100gb which makes it far too large for a cartridge or for standard internal memory.
The amount of games I'll have to play for the holidays is insane! I wont even have enough time off to play them all.
I'll be playing the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 X-Men dlc for the Switch on the 23rd. I just got Vacation Simulator and Real VR Fishing for the Quest so I'll be trying them out too.
I also renewed my Xbox Gamepass so theres a bunch of games on there I'll try, like Gears 5, My Friend Pedro, Outer Worlds etc.
I'm getting a new PC for Christmas though, so that will consume most of my time. So far I have Batman Arkham VR, Elite Dangerous, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Asgards Wrath, Doctor Who the Edge of Time, Arizona Sunshine, Disco Elysium and Age of Empires 2 to play. Doctor Who on Christmas Day ftw!

Re: Review: PO'ed: Definitive Edition (Switch) - A Welcome Return For A Weird And (Sometimes) Wonderful FPS
@LikelySatan like a number of 3DO games, PO'ed also released later on the PS1.
Return Fire is the 3DO game that needs a rerelease.

Re: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Gets Resurrected On Switch This Summer
Ghost Trick is a great game! I bought it when the 3DS first released and there weren't many games available. I really wish they'd bring out a sequel.

Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch
I bought the Arcade Revolution pack for Strider and Final Fight. If the other packs go on sale sometime then I'll get them too.
Now I just need Taito to release a collection that includes Rastan.
Re: No, This Nintendo Ad Didn't Raise The Price Of The Switch - It's Just Canadian
Prices are always higher in Canada, even a few years back when the Canadian dollar was stronger than the US dollar the gaming systems still cost more.

North America for sure.
This game helped me through the early days of the 3DS.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 13th)
I'm thinking about getting Astral Chain, the Sega Genesis Collection, The Dark Crystal and Sunset Riders.
If I do then I'll be playing them, but I'll also be diving into No Mans Sky VR thanks to Xbox PC Gamepass.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Is Sick Of Fans Asking Him If Bayonetta 3 Has Been Cancelled

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 11th)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Stranger Things 3, Down the Rabbit Hole, Real VR Fishing.
Re: Introducing Dongii, The Dinkiest Nintendo Switch Dock We Ever Did See
I would buy a 3rd party dock like this if it was proven not to brick the Switch.

Re: Rumour: Wonderful 101 On Switch Teased (Again) By PlatinumGames
A 101 port would be good for people who missed it on the Wii U.
I'd like a Wonderful 102 though.
Re: EB Games Canada Says Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Is Coming To Switch
Sony must have a tight hold on the exclusivity as Capcom have always ended up porting exclusives in the past.

Re: Feature: Our Most Anticipated Nintendo Switch Games Of 2020
Bayonetta 3
No More Heroes 3
Metroid Prime 4
BOTW 2
If they all released in 2020 then it could be the best year ever, but I doubt that they will. Give me Bayonetta 3 and NMH3 and I'll be happy.
Re: TT Games Says LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga Runs Like A "Dream" On Switch
