This week, I downloaded Capcom Arcade Stadium. Why is it not on the list?

I enjoy my digital Hades and I also like that book they were showing, I'm not about to double dip however, there's so much other stuff.

Now, this looks extremely interesting! There was no quality srpg in the line of Ogre/Final Fantasy Tactics for quite a time!

To me, this stuff is a blast! I wanted to play Commando on my Switch since the very first day. And there are so many more! The emulation is fluent and on top of that, there's a cool achievement system.

Definitely the best game in this update.

Count me in, it seems cool!

Do we really have that many games about the pandemic?

To me, the heroes' models in close-ups look really bad indeed, visually ugly and technically broken, like a lame emulation of N64. The landscapes and baddies however are not that bad, from what I see here. Also, I like the way they've implemented some good ideas from Setsuna/Lost Spear.

Same here. We may assume they should be dropping it before new G&G, so maybe next week?

Dear Kate, like I said before, I'm not accusing anyone as I have no proof of any unethical behaviour. Actually, I respect the NL authors and enjoy their writing, your own included.

However, when the issues are as serious as in this game, how careless a reviewer must have been not to see them? Especially that the reviewers' copy must have been performing even worse than the current build. Is not evaluating the technical condition of the game one of the reviewers' duties? So, even if, as I want to believe, it was not a swindle but a mistake based on too little experience with the game, it is still the reviewer to be blamed here, I'm afraid.

I didn't want to say it as I don't have any proof but, indeed, the reviewer's credibility might be questioned in this case.

So why did NL give this game a 9/10? The review actually made me buy this faulty product instead of warning against doing so.

I wish it was 2D.

I remember how impressed I was by Renegade when I played it on my Speccy as a kid! Big sprites, fairly complicated fighting, weapons, bikes. It was a sign of the future, different from anything I played back then. Sadly, it has aged badly, the controls and movement feel sluggish which is unbearable in such kind of game.

I got Horehore, being a fan of Nichibutsu products. The game is kinda weird, it's very Japanese. You run around simple 2D mazes trying to collect stuff and escape from baddies. You may also dig holes to stop your enemies. Not anything special but still a decent, playable title.

I plan to finish Habroxia 2, a great twin-stick space shmup. I will be also getting a Sword of Mana in Trials of Mana this weekend, I hope.

Only got Hades and Cuphead of all these.

I do remember the Halley comet hype from '86. The information overload was then not as heavy as today and such a news really stirred my imagination as a 12 years old fan of science-fiction books and video games

It was a very accurate and trendy name in 1986 as it was the year when the actual Halley's comet entered the Solar System. There was a lot of media talk about it back then.

I bought this game on day one, played for a little while and put it away for no apparent reason. It's not that I dislike it or see any essential flaws. Actually, I enjoyed the graphics and the world concept. I think the Legion mechanics did not appeal to me that much.

It's true I happen to be clumsy with items but still breaking the second one during the first use made me think something might be wrong with these clips. They just seem too tiny.

I have two docks and in both the little plastic hinges of the back plate are broken. I broke the second one when I opened it the very first time. It's so rubbish. And $60 for a piece of plastic?

Sure thing, that's what I do myself waiting for BD2.

Not much time to play this weekend but I will probably manage to boot Trials of Mana here and there as the game becomes more exciting the futher I progress.

Btw, the choices of the editors show how poor weekend/month we have in terms of Switch releases.

Its unbelievable they did not put Trials of Mana on this list!

I grabbed Terra Force because I love Nichibutsu shooters such as Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta. Used to play ZX Spectrum ports of them way back in the 80's. This one is not as great as the two mentioned above, however, or maybe it just does not bring any memories since I didn't know it as a kid.

Is it possible to invert the Y axis? I can't find this option and it makes the demo unplayable for me.

Anybody knows how to invert y-axis? Can't find it in options and I'm so accustomed to the inverted control scheme in 3D games that I cannot really enjoy this otherwise promising demo.

Horace is a great platformer with a funny and original story. It makes me mad however that I cannot get past one of the bosses.

In Other Waters is a different story, however. The positive review in NL encouraged me to buy it but I couldn't really get into the game. The game does not provide any instructions and the UI is based on blurry icons, so it's really difficult to make out what the hell it is all about. After a couple of tries I gave it up, eventually.

Trials of Mana. Bought it on sale and it exceeded my expectations. It runs really smooth and is a blast to play. And I even like it that it's not one of these gross jrpgs, I don't have time for another XC.

A lot of Borderlands 2 - this game is so full of unexpected content. Some Romancing Saga3 as I wanted a retro jrpg badly. And some Fury Unleashed in between - I'm about to beat the second comic book and the rougelite progress loop is very addicting in this game.

Nothing for me this month in terms of new games. However I bought some older stuff I am happy with: DKC Tropical Freeze, NFS HP (really good!) and Fury Unleashed which is incredibly addicting.

Just got it and I'm happy with it. It's like an RPG mixed with chess. The weapon/items/progression systems are very deep for a 30 years old 8-bit game. This game seems to be the pioneer of this kind games being published long before Shining Force and Langrisser. It's a groundbreakng achievement and as such it's worth having in the slightly modernized form despite its age and obvious limitations.

The graphics/animation style does not convince me.

Totally agreed! Loved FFTA so I bought the latest Mercenaries game. It's not bad by any means but it lacks distinctiveness and an original spirit.

I agree, it's annoying! Too flashy, too much in your face.

In what respect is Crysis for Switch better then the one for PS4? I'm considering getting it but I'm still not sure as to the version.

Basically, they are for playing NES games. You may use them for other games but lack of 2 shoulder and 2 face buttons makes them useless in most cases.

No Tsushima here? That's weird as this game is awesome. It's good they have honored Sucker Punch studio at least.

Actually it's good news because now I'm sure I'll buy the PS4 version, not the Switch one. I could not make my mind before.

A PS4 weekend for me (Ghost of Tsushima and COD MW). And a little Horace and Worms on the Switch.
