Why would we be collecting coins in a Sonic game? Shouldn't we be collecting rings instead?

Still using my OG switch five years later, so will definitely upgrade when there is a more powerful model

Just picked it up. Going to start playing as soon as I get home. Been excited for this game since the initial trailer, even with the jerky animations.

Knowing Nintendo, it will be a Gameboy shaped controller with a working screen that the video can be streamed to from the Switch similar to the Wii U gamepad.

That makes sense. Would hate for them to include Game Boy Advance and give players an opportunity to play Metroid Fusion (and Zero Mission) before the release of Dread this fall.

So excited this series is coming back, I loved these games on the Gamecube. Hope they port those games to current consoles while the new game is being developed

@KayFiOS When you have beaten all of the levels you currently have unlocked then the next level will be unlocked. At the course selection, select any course that does not have the flag indicating that you have beaten it. That level will be added to the pool of levels. If you use any warp pipes, select the left most pipe to skip two levels (unless one of the other two pipes is for the level you selected). Good luck

What if it was a new (slightly more powerful) switch that can be paired with all existing switches to be used as the second screen.

This sounds too good to be true. If it does happen, we will probably have a year of Zelda next year capped off by the Breath of the Wild sequel

I let my wife set up the island on her account and then joined after. Had to blow up the entire island and start over after the first day because she was not too interested and I was not able to make any progress since I was not the resident representative.

Does anybody currently have the Bond video game license? I think the last game was 007 Legends from Activision in 2012

I don't think this would be possible a few years ago, but with how the relationship has developed between Nintendo and Microsoft, I would not be shocked if they came to some kind of agreement where they allow Bayonetta to be released on Xbox in exchange for another title that was previously exclusive to Xbox to be released on Switch.

@Mii_duck Agreed. I would be ok if they released Bayonetta 2 on other consoles, while keeping Bayonetta 3 exclusive on the Switch for some time. With the exception of a spike near the release of Bayonetta 3, Bayonetta 2 is not going to have a lot more sales. Releasing it on other platforms could increase interest in the series, and hopefully lead to some who are still on the fence about getting a Switch to picking one up to play Bayonetta 3.

As long as they don't ask more than $60 for the game on kickstarter, I don't really mind them doing it. It is easy to say we want the game on a survey, it's another to actually show it by committing money to back it.

I loved the one on the Wii. Will definitely get this eventually, but it is coming out too close to Animal Crossing for me to get day 1

@jarvismp That is the kind of score I was expecting based on the other impressions I have read. I will probably still pick this up when it makes it stateside

@OorWullie Big Ben is the publisher of both games, but they have different developers. World Tour was developed by Breakpoint, and AO Tennis was developed by Big Ant who also developed Cricket 19. From the sound of it, AO Tennis is a much more solid game while you should never consider World Tour. Big Ant provided strong support for the first AO Tennis on other consoles, hopefully they will be able to improve the performance if AO Tennis 2 on switch with future patches

For me personally, it is just another Direct, but I understand why it is more important since there is a greater focus on covering the gaming industry during E3 so it is important to make some waves

Pretty low expectations. I expect the focus to be on Pokémon Home, perhaps going live after the direct. More information about Pokémon Sleep. Some additional Pokémon into Sword and Shield, either through Home or special raid events, but not many. Information about Detective Pikachu for Switch.

Maybe Let's Go Gold and Silver, but not counting on it.

Sounds like this should have been called Hands Off, but I do appreciate the additional information about this title.

It felt out of place when this game was announced in the direct compared to the other titles that were given time, and seemed like something that would have been a better fit in the sizzle reel near the end.

If this was legit, I would figure it is a new game, since they would probably bring the ports over with Rare Replay when they release that on Switch
