@BTB20 nope. Mario Kart Tour is considered mainline by Nintendo whereas the Home one isn't. It's definitely going to be called Mario Kart X.

@Bolt_Strike It's obvious at this point that mainline Pokemon are not being added to NSO. Either they will add them as a separate app to avoid data manipulation with cloud saves and save states or they will sell each one for $7.99 on the eShop.

I call bs. This game sold like 30 million units within months and they got afraid cause non-Nintendo gamers were jumping on it. I see no copyright infringement but a few similarities though.

I don't know why some of you are coming up with this "why would they announce before the holiday season" bs since the Switch has NO NEW AAA+ TITLES FOR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON and will definitely rely on new bundles and promos to carry on.

@Kiyata I replaced the batteries of my 3 GBA cartridges not too long ago and it was a bit complicated cause I had to remove the solder and then put it again lol

@Don I really don't know. Maybe they're having issues with connecting to Pokemon Home? The 3DS VC titles had to be connected to Poke Transporter first.

Mainline Pokemon games are definitely not coming to standard NSO app. Game Freak would never allow cloud saves, save states and rewinding features. If they ever come, it would be a separate app or they will just sell them on eShop.

@Don They can release the games on NSO and restrict sending stuff to Pokemon Home. In order to have Home compatibility, they would need to be separated apps with no save states and rewind features.

Why the cable connector is on the upper part of the charger? it looks ugly.

Of course it isnt the best selling game if digital sales aren't counted. Have you guys seen the amount of AAA games on sale at Steam and PS Store? I'd be surprised if TTYD even crossed 1.3 million in US

The only timelines that makes sense are

SS > OoT > MM > TP
OoT > WW > PH > ST
Zelda 1 > Zelda 2
BotW > ToTK

because these games are connected

Everything else are theories. I don't even consider ALBW a sequel to ALTTP because Nintendo obviously wanted to do a remake and thought it was fun to turn it into a new entry instead.

@Not_Soos Nintendo is not bringing back Mario & Wario and Mario Paint since they require a mouse to play. As for Animal Forest, it was never localized in the west but it'll definitely appear in the japanese NSO. I believe games like Yoshi's Safari and the NES Zapper titles are entirely possible though

@MooseTinsel I believe now only Startropics II, Castlevania III and the 3 NES Zapper games are missing. They might arrive sooner or later since they were all on Wii/Wii U and now they're all unavailable

Nintendo just upscaled the 3DS version and called it a day. It looks like an early Dreamcast game.

@BlublacMH Nintendo's forecast are projecting to sell 15 million units this fiscal year, they will most definitely have to adjust this projections since there are no AAA games coming during Q1 and Q2

I told yall it wasn't going to surpass the PS2 and it doesn't deserve so. Let's be honest, PS2 is the most iconic video game hardware of all time and had so many iconic games. Nintendo Switch has some awesome games but most of its heavy hitters are Wii U, 3DS or Wii rereleases.

@Arcata unless they cut the price and announce at least a big 1st party title (doesn't seem very likely) it's not taking PS2's spot since the numbers hasn't been updated in a while and it's definitely past over 160M.

@SuperShaun You guys need to understand that Switch's specs are beyond dated at this point and they can't live just with remasters and 3DS ports. Nintendo's own big games are definitely not running on Switch otherwise they would be releasing on the system. Some of you think Nintendo doesn't care about power but sometimes they do.

As a brazilian, I would say to not trust these twitter insiders. They're DESPERATE to become relevant in the gaming community so don't take everything serious, only a few of them have trustworthy sources.

Nintendo Switch is an outdated console for 2024's standards. Even first party titles are struggling to run well on the hardware. It's definitely time for the successor.

@Baker1000 Golden Sun has been rumoured to get a reboot or a sequel to Dark Dawn since leakers found out evidence that Camelot was working on it during the pandemic. I suppose it's just a 2D-HD remaster of the og Golden Sun

So now the only missing NES first party games on NSO are Startropics 2, Yoshi's Cookie and the NES Zapper games?

@KingBowser the release of big GCN games like Super Mario Sunshine and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door kinda makes it not likely on the Switch. Maybe next generation?

If they managed to get Microsoft's permission, I can see Conker's Bad Fur Day, Diddy Kong Racing, Jet Force Gemini and Perfect Dark being added sometime.

I have not played it and have no intention to do it any time soon. The base game was already one of the worst experiences I had with Pokemon and I've been a fan since Yellow.

@Not_Soos Be glad if it sells 2 million, it's coming during the final year of the Switch, it's a remake and RPGs aren't for everybody. Origami King sold like 3.5 million and it was released during Switch's biggest year.

and lol 7 million for SMRPG is quite an ambitious prediction. I don't think SquareEnix and Nintendo are predicting to sell more than 5 million copies.

At this point, I'm only looking forward to play Animal Forest and Startropics 2.

It would be nice if they put the NES Zapper games (Duck Hunt, Hogan's Alley and Wild Gunmen) like they did on Wii U.

@GuruOfGreatness if they milk it for too long it might canibalize the sales of the successor. Look at the 3DS launch, DS was still strong when it launched cause Pokemon BW released less than two months before

@John_Deacon Pikmin 3 plays better with the Wii U GamePad but the DX version is pretty good as well

I'm pretty sure they had problems with the texture changing during the transition. If that was the case then they should've scrapped and brought Yoshi Desert back.
