I find it utterly unbelievable that we've had 2, two, aspect ratios on TVs since the 1950s, yet in 2017 when everything seems possible, this is still an issue.
@sillygostly
"I'm concerned about how the aspect ratio is dealt with in the game. The trailers display the aspect ratio correctly, however the eShop (and the screenshots shown above) show the game to be stretched to 16:9, and I'm not going to support a game or film that doesn't present their work in an appropriate aspect ratio. This is just ridiculous. I hate the fact that stretching out is even provided as an option as it encourages ignorant people to impose the incorrect AR when viewing or displaying 4:3 material to an audience."
I want this, but I'm waiting for reviews and player feedback. I avoid buying broken games, because I've been burned before, so I've learned to be patient.
Since Toki Tori 2, I've been a big fan of Two Tribes. It's sad that the game that made me a fan was the penultimate work of art from these talented developers.
Lazy developers! Still no Pro Controller support! Really? It would take you an hour to add, you lazy morons!
I got the game free with the red+blue Joy-Con set, but I don't play it. I can't be bothered to detach a JC from the Switch to play it when my PC is compatible with almost all other games.
Isn't Tri-Force that Nintendo fan always wearing the NES glove first-in-line at hardware launches at Nintendo's New York City store, or am I confusing him for another person?
People need to actually use the Switch OS and not just play games to find valid arguments against me. The Wii U OS was miles better than Switch’s, but slower.
The whole OS is a disgrace compared to what the Wii U was at launch! How can an OS in 2012 have more useful features than one released in 2017? Only Nintendo manages to do this!
Everything is better on the Wii U, except a single thing: speed.
The Wii U was better on every single count, on its launch. The Switch is laughable and a disgrace.
Nintendo is inept at hardware. Please, just go third party, Nintendo. Please!
Nintendo is good at games though, except at online multiplayer games. Splatoon was so much better than Splatoon 2, so that's another example of something Nintendo did better in 2012-2015 than now in 2017.
I can think of worse things, like people complaining about people complaining when something they love was good but became worse.
I complain because I care. The game is good and I would like its face to be a good representation of the rest of the body and its qualities.
@Untempered-Link
"Jeez its this kinda fuss that show how Nintendo fans can be THE WORST. People who complain about stuff like this are an embarrassment to our community."
I cannot understand why they thought the current ugly and generic icon was more suitable and descriptive for this game, and went through the process of changing something that was good into the garbage that the current icon is!
I disagree. The Wii U is the better console, and it even had a better OS and better network infrastructure, at launch, than the Switch has six months after launch. Wii U is a special console, there is nothing like it. Switch is nothing else than a hybrid.
@MsJubilee
"Why you bringing the Wiiu into this knowing damn well it's an irrelevant platform? Also just cause it's getting kickstarter games doesn't mean it's alive and well.
The closing of SplatNet is a big deal, since we'll now have to spend 3 minutes every time we just want to check what the current ranked mode and stages are, before deciding to play.
The Wii U has no sleep mode like the Switch, where this can be checked in 15 seconds on the console itself, if you have the game running. And we also still have SplatNet 2.
@BraveFencerZan
"A lot of games get their servers shut down. In the next 4 months: Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, FIFA 14, MLB The Show 15, NBA 2k16, and The Tomorrow Children will be losing their servers. These are PS4 games.
This news is about an app shutting down....so I'm not sure why folks are acting like it's the end times. You can still play the game itself online."
Reggie's message suddenly makes more sense now that, only one day later, Nintendo has announced a new production run of the NES Mini and that SNES Mini will be shipped into 2018!
I liked Diddy Kong Racing, but it just didn't get as much playtime when I played with my friends as Mario Kart 64. I enjoyed MK64 more than DKR, but I can't really say why.
I should perhaps unpack my Nintendo 64 and play DKR with the eyes of a 20-year-older man?
These are sad times. I used SplatNet every day for two years, ever since I learned about the Japanese website Summer of 2015, before the English version was launched.
And I'm sad to say Splatoon is a vastly better game than Splatoon 2. The rank system is a joke, Nintendo was spitting in my face and lying that Splatoon 2 is an upgrade, when it is in fact the opposite.
I purchased Worms Revolution on PS3. That was the first and last time I bought anything from Team 17 on consoles.
The game performs so badly I had to stop playing it. At times it hit around 8-10 frames per second, but the Wii should have been able to run it! Just as a comparison, Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii looks better, runs smoothly, and doesn't render in much lower resolution. Worms Revolution's graphics on PS3 are so rough that most comparable Wii games look way better.
Even the SNES had enough processing power to display 1080p60, albeit not with more than a few colours. It could have been capable of rendering a single-colour sprite moving across a single-colour background.
So far, S2 is getting new stages slower than S1. Perhaps it is to make up for S2 having 8 stages at launch, while S1 had 5, so that new stages will be added to S2 for as long as S1?

Re: Nintendo Plans 'More Ways to Have Fun' on Switch and Anticipates Momentum Into 2018
I just want the Switch OS brought up to the standard of Wii U's 2012 OS!
Hello, Nintendo! We're in 2017, you amateurs! Split your buttocks and pull out your heads!
Where is user password protection?
Wii U had it.
Where are public, global user identifiers?
Wii U had NNID in 2012, and Xbox had Gamertag in 2002!
Tell me this, folks: How do I with no doubt whatsoever identity Matt from Matt, or Tom from Tom, on my Friends List? I can't!
Wii U wins!
Re: Rocket League Blasts Onto the Nintendo Switch on 14th November

Nintendo Life at a new low. Until Nintendo Life tries to act as a serious news website, and drop their click bait, Adblock will stay on.

@nintendolife
You misspelled "USB" as "wireless".

"Switch has password protection for everything related to the My Nintendo account (such as the eShop), unless you turn it off."
Re: Massive Nintendo Switch System Update - Version 4.0.0 - Adds Video Capture and More
Yes! This!
I cannot believe the level of amateurishness at Nintendo! Allowing the Switch's 7-month-old OS to be worse than Wii U's OS on launch day!
Nintendo, oh my, how you need to be slapped in the face!
@MegaMari0
"All i want now is to password protect my profile... Don't want kids selecting mine and ruining whatever progress I've made in a game"
Re: Massive Nintendo Switch System Update - Version 4.0.0 - Adds Video Capture and More
I'd prefer if Nintendo fix the OS and add what's missing from the the Wii U OS before starting to add new features!
Come on, Nintendo! It's 2017! Why is the 7-month-old Switch OS worse than the Wii U OS on launch day???
Where's user password protection?
Where's publicly visible, global user identifiers? Wii U had NNID in 2012, and Xbox had Gamertags in 2002!!!
Amateurs!

Re: Downloading WWE 2K18 Requires 32GB Of MicroSD Storage Space
So, what happens when I have purchased so many games requiring space in Switch's internal storage, that I have no storage left?
Re: Here Are the Key Lessons that Nintendo Learned from the Wii U
I prefer launch Wii U OS over current garbage Switch OS.
Where are global, publicly visible, user identifiers?
Wii U had NNIDs in 2012.
Xbox had Gamertags in 2002!
Where's user password protection?
Wii U had it in 2012.
Where's proper data management?
Wii U had way better, however, still not good enough.

It was the best of the two OSs. Wii U is everything the Switch is not, except portable.
@kobashi100
“the Wii U OS was Garbage. Even after they day 1 patch it was painfully slow.”
Re: Developers Discuss the Switch eShop 'Gold Rush'
It was slow, but better.
Tell me, where’s account password protection on Switch?
Tell me, where’s the publicly visible, global user identifier on Switch?
Right, the answers are: nowhere and nowhere.
@electrolite77
“You mean the same Wii U OS that needed a huge Day 1 patch to be functional and still managed to be painfully slow? That one? The Wii U OS was awful.”
Re: Developers Discuss the Switch eShop 'Gold Rush'
Nintendo need to fix more than just the eShop.
