I see no problem here. Either you get the "corporate" dev where you aren't allowed to say anything and are under an NDA or you work for the "anti-corporate" dev where you can say stuff but it also means your boss can ruthlessly give you *****.
There's no middle ground for this. Having worked for both, its just part of being an adult.
Ah, I love posting from the Future now that the Switch version has flopped. You censor your games, they will flop. Even on a system with a massive install base.
Now if only Nintendo would just admit they are wrong and uncensor the game.
Oh boy. Good bye Nintendo. These are the same initiatives that killed Sony, Disney, and Warner. Expect products made for investors instead of gamers from now on.
Looks to be nothing out of the ordinary...Unless this was the branch who gave kotaku review copies then it could be Nintendo wasn't happy about the "pro-piracy" article and decided to torch everyone.
I'd care but I'm not stupid. Some of these "developers" are just salarymen who don't care about the product. Some guy was mad he got fired and couldn't pad his resume (or worst, left when a better offer showed up).
And don't give me any of that "abuse" nonsense. You want me to take it seriously, file charges with the appropriate entities. If not, I assume you are lying.
@anoyonmus @Cynas @jcboyer515 No, you're all wrong. You're gonna buy the game and spend more than whatever the msrp is. Because Microtransactions work.
Also, Activision Blizzard won/settled their labor lawsuit. Because (and I mean this with all sincerity) they know just how debased people who play video games are.
It isn't just the Switch version. The PS4 version has glitches as well (guy on youtube has a video on it). The day one patch might fix this stuff so silver lining.
To the dumb dumbs who don't play these games but complain about fanservice, you can't use any of these costumes until you beat the game.
Still really disappointing the original gravure costumes got censored out of this version (Sony check, I'm looking at you). At least the lack of Nintendo costumes are understandable.
@jcboyer515 It's not a Japanese thing. NISA are just terrible in general (McFirebro yo!). To use current news, they raised the prices on their PC games (in some cases, doubling the price) after the Steam summer sale ended....for no reason.
My guess: Years of being terrible have shrunken their sales so they want to make up the lost profit by charging more.
@TeeJay Did you even play Crash 2 or 3? Slide jumping is midair is nothing new.
At this point, you're just making excuses for a terrible slide jump. And no, the levels aren't designed for that crappy slide jump. They're designed for "a" slide jump but nothing in the design says the jump needs to have no momentum and be generally terrible.
PR to deflect from being tossed into the Call of Duty mines. It sucks, I know. If you guys are still working on Crash 4, can you at least fix the damn slide jump? Thank you.
@DK-Fan That's what happens when the camera in your 3d platformer is bad. You can't make those jumps because the position and FOV (which is constantly changing) are bad. You can see this in the first level in the grinding section where the camera focuses on the mountain instead of on the player making those upcoming boxes harder to get.
I ain't gonna mince words here: Crash Bandicoot 4 was a TERRIBLE GAME.
You can argue with me but the sales don't lie. And no, the game wasn't "difficult". It was poorly designed and I predict in the coming weeks, we're gonna get people being honest about the game's faults.
Even counting digital (which was 400k), it sold well below Nsane and Nitro Fueled. That's bad because: 1) Making an original game cost more than remaking older ones 2) Unreal Engine 4 licensing fee takes away 5% of your gross sales
This means nothing. Unless it turns out Activision isn't doing as well as it claims (Crash 4 flopping couldn't have been good), they'll launder all that "bonus money" into Bobby through other means. My guess is stock options.

So, only 4 million more copies for Square Enix to see this as "profitable" then?
Re: Random: No, Your Wii Isn't Going To Self-Destruct
Wasn't it the PS4 which was going to die when its internal clock battery died making them bricks?

Expect a LOT more of this in the future. You can probably guess why.

Well, somebody was bound to be stupid enough to set off the obvious powdered keg by bringing up Alec Holaka. He's dead, BTW.
Still waiting on Zoe Quinn to deliver on her kickstarter game.

Of course its more detailed. Switch game vs a Wii game. Still a letdown that we don't get a view of her Zero Suit model for the best ending tho.

Top marks all around for the devs. They did almost everything right, and the things they didn't were fixed with a patch (Axel buffs).
If only the Battletoads remake had even an inch of the soul in this game.

@ThePoetZiggy
That's irrelevant. They are still recovering from bankruptcy.

Stock price is irrelevant when you can't pay your staff. Something that bad will take more than a year to recover from.
Re: Disgaea Series Hits 5 Million Sales
Don't believe the marketing nonsense. NIS has been on life support after the failure that was Disgaea mobile.
Don't expect anything from NISA, they recently RAISED the prices of several older games on Steam.
