The Switch eShop library continues to grow, with developer Springloaded confirming that it's bringing its frantic 4 player party game - Ultra Hyperball - to the platform soon. This is just one of the six games that Springloaded is working on for the Switch right now, so it's a name you'll be hearing a lot more of this year and next.
In addition to the multiplayer madness, the game sports a single player story mode where you can discover the secrets to the world of Hyperball.
You can play the game with with Joy-Con, touch controls and motion controls through a host of varied gameplay modes. Springloaded tell us the game should be released on 5th August, so if you like the pixel art style and catchy music this might be one to watch out for.

Just to add, this game is a Switch exclusive, so wont be coming to any other platforms.
Very enjoyable pixel art style and chiptune music.
... on the subject of "ultimate sports" when will someone have the guts to bring "Speedball 2" to the Switch?
Looks like fun.
@Springloaded Thats great to know. The article makes it sound like a mobile or steam port coming over. More games developped specifically with the switch in mind is most welcome
This one seems a bit too simple for me, but still would like to see what else Springloaded brings to NS.
@Springloaded Looks like a great co op title but hopefully the single player is decent and maybe even challenging enough to warrant a purchase from me.
Either way I wish you the best and I'll be keeping an eye on future projects.
@Kiz3000 single player is pretty hardcore as far as challenge goes. I suck, but one of the artists here just slays it. (the targets are all her best scores, dialled down a bit)
@Springloaded Can we expect the single player mode to have a story element as well?
The game looks fun. Love the art style -music fits it perfectly. Interested.
What was that game on NES with hacky-sack, BMX, surfing, and frisbee, we need that!
@Jaredfrogman the closest I can recall by that description is California Games.
Nintendo seems to be leaving the “Wii Party” type series in the past for now, so it’s nice to see a third party step up to bat with a party game designed around Switch controls. I use my Switch with kids at my job so I will keep a close eye on this
No thanks!
If the price is right - this is perfect for waiting in line for stuff.
I was not expecting that to look so fun. Think i'll be picking this one up on release.
This could be a great simple but fun party game, I wish Switch offered more demo's because I fear it's one I'd want to try before I buy.
Games like Astro Duel and De Mambo became instant hits for our party nights but Flip Wars bombed and I've wasted £9 it seems. This could go either way.
@Springloaded Part of the development team, I presume?
Way to go, @Springloaded !
Looks fun and it's exclusive so you will get my backing come release day.
@Shiryu
or a new soldiers of fortune game.
a real sequel not chaos engine 2 lol
@ogo79 I wouldn't even say not to a untouched Commodor eamiga compilation of all the Bitmap Brothers works.
I really do miss the violent dystopic sports genre... if only "Mutant Football League" does end up on the Switch someday, it would be awesome.
@nhSnork yes!
Well if it has online I might be interested. My kids are all moved out now and it's just me playing at home. So multiplayer at home for me is not happening much anymore. I miss those days of a good Bomberman 94 fest
Looks alright i think a 5.99 price tag is about right for this though.
