Re: Faux-Retro Survival Horror Back In 1995 64 Shuffles Menacingly Towards The Nintendo 3DS

Azikira

That does not look too great, and I'm not saying that because of the style direction. The lighting looks off in every room, WAY too bright. Seriously, no true horror game should be this bright! It's like broad daylight. That ain't scary at all. The enemies also don't seem to cast shadows as far as I can tell, and have janky, unfinished looking animations (not creepy intentional jerky movements like Silent Hill). Anyone else notice the textures stretching while the camera was turning, too?

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Will Have amiibo Support

@shaneoh Kirby Fighters Deluxe was great, if on the simple side. I agree on Drum Dash though.

It's funny how many people now no longer despise the game, but still have no interest. I'm still hyped since it was announced. Seems like a fun game to play with my bros.

Nintendo, please make the Space Pirates playable (like a skin you could unlock) because that'd be amazing.

Re: Even If It’s Not Perfect, It’s Better Than Nothing, Says Mighty No. 9 Creator Keiji Inafune

Azikira

@Darkthany It's not IntiCreates, it's Comcept. Look at Comcept's track record, nothing but crappy or mediocre games. Not a single one I didn't regret buying. If it HAD been IntiCreates, I'm sure the game would be a dozen times better.

Man, I was so excited for this too... It's sad that even with someone with a pedigree like Inafune, he's full of poo. Indie Developers can make better games than this, and you're an industry veteran! Maybe it's time to retire.

Re: Alan Young, the Voice Actor for Scrooge McDuck, Has Passed Away

It's so weird... I was just playing DuckTales Remastered for the last few nights... It's sad news, as usual it seems... But this is quite the bittersweet announcement indeed. Although he's passed on, he lived an amazingly long life and did so many great things! He was truly blessed. May you rest in peace.

Re: Feature: A Night at the Arcade

Azikira

Man, I never got to go to a true arcade either. The closest thing I have been to was a knock-off Chuck E. Cheese's where it was 90% excellent games and 10% other junk.

I've secretly wanted to open my own Arcade... With some greasy pizza to go with it~

Re: Soapbox: Why Websites Don’t Need to Give a Game a Review Score (and Probably Shouldn’t)

Azikira

I usually scroll down to the end to see the final score, then go back up and read the article to know why it got that way. It's a little backwards thinking I'm sure, but I feel scores are still important (and totally subjective too). If I wrote review articles, I'd probably put a score on top and explain how I got there, but again that's my weird backwards thinking going on.
