I'm 80+ hours in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and I must say that I'm completely blown away by the quality of the side content. The production value for these secondary quest are unlike anything I've seen in an RPG, it literally feels like I'm continuing the main game with new characters to unlock, gameplay systems, voice acted cute scenes and dialogs. It's a massive step up over Xenoblade Chronicles X and 2 in that regard. Monolith really, I'm not sure if I'll 100% it, but so far, I'm still super excited about playing and doing stuff. I just wish I had more free time.
If you're tempted by the game at this 30€ deal, don't. It's a real masterpiece of an RPG.
I'm not really convinced, but I'm super curious about the game. Prior to that trailer, I thought that Metroid Prime 4 was a bit tame, the new powers didn't really grab my attention. And appart from the fact that I trust Retro Studios to deliver a good game, I wasn't too hyped. Now I'm super excited, but these open world section might suck and ruin the game if it's not well implemented.
I'm a bit concerned by the fact that the game targets 1080p 60fps on Switch 1. It already was a challenge for a smaller scale game, and if the introduction level is any indication, Rétro Studios will totally deliver, but an open world is more demanding. The desert section they've shown looks a bit ugly to be honest, so it better be fun and serve the gameplay, or the backlash will be brutal.
If you buy one of these two overpriced games. You're part of the problem. We should boycott this collection. The price is stupid, whether it's the one and two collection at 70€ or the single games at 40€ on the eshop. It's ridiculous.
The games are real masterpieces, some of the best games ever, but the price are nuts.
It's a tie between Indiana Jones and the Outlaws remaster by Nightdive Studios. Indie looks like a fun game, but my current PC can't run it, and I don't have a PS5 or Xbox Series, so if the Switch 2 is good, I'm in. As of Outlaws, I always wanted to play it, and Nightdive has a really good track record at remastering games.
I love Sakurai, but I think this presentation is pretty poor. It's way too long for its own good, and the game doesn't look that intersting. It seems like a fine game, but why release so close to Mario Kart World? Why isn't it a cross gen game, it doesn't look bad, but it's not a big looker, I'm sure it could run fine on Switch 1. And it would have been a nice way to avoid direct competition with Mario Kart World.
I'm a few hours in, I've finished the first real after the tutorial, and I kind of feel like I have a good overview of how all the systems come together. I'd give it a nine. But not a ten. But that might change.
So far , I only have one Bananza power and it looks like the end game has some good surprise in store. At first, with the tutorial level, I wasn't completely sold, I'm not a huge fan of the weird color scheme, and I wasn't super sold about the destruction mechanism. But after a few hours, and after messing around with the first level, I'm completely sold. Granted, I love DK64 and Super Mario Odyssey is my favorite Switch game, and favorite Mario game too, even though I'm forty and been playing Nintendo games since the Gameboy and NES).
Anyway, I really love how you get treasure chest randomly, and how they give hint for the next fossils or golden bananas, I absolutely love how the ore fill you Bananza boost, I love the creativity to get the golden bananas, the way that the level design subtely show you interesting stuff and give slight hint as to where to dig. And the dig mechanic is oddly satisfying. The controls are absolutely spon on by the way, but coming from the Odyssey team, I did not expect any less. I was a bit worried about framerate, but so far, it's a solid 60fps and I didn't notice any drop. I'm not too sensitive to that though, some people prefer stable 30fps over unstable 60, but I'm not. The framerate in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom on Switch 1 did bother me though. I'm glad I waited for the Switch 2 to play it properly.
So yeah, I'm still in the Switch2 honeymoon phase, but between Mario Kart World, Echoes of Wisdom and now Donkey Kong Bananza, I'm having a blast. As of DK, I think it will just grow from now, with the new Bananza powers and more complex level design coming in. So far the only things that bother me are the weird color scheme and the very easy boss, and apparently bosses are pretty easy all around, I'm not a huge fan of skill trees too, it's a good system on its own but every damned AAA game uses this system and it's getting really repetitive and it feels lazy.
But here it works very well with the golden banana system, and that's what leads me to my overall impression so far. All the system mix and match together making a nice synergy of awesomeness.
So yeah, it might turn to a ten, but I must confess that I prefered the cappy mechanic of Odyssey, and overall it's hard to not think about Mario Odyssey. And I don't think Bananza will top Odyssey. It's a bit stupid, but I can't help it.
I have the same opinions as these two people. And as Donkey Kong 64 fan, I'm fine with this situation, unless the game turns out bad of course. But so far, it looks brilliant.
That said, whenever I talk to people about the Switch 2 they're like "I'm not super hyped, maybe when there's a new 3D Mario game", so it looks like Nintendo should definitely think about making a new 3D Mario game and not think that Donkey Kong will fill the game.
In terms of pure strategy though, it would be wise for them to give DK Bananza a bit of time to make its place. Releasing a 3D Mario game before Christmas 2025 would be a mistake to me. Maybe next gen.
There's one point that needs clarifications though, who is actually developping DK Bananza? Because if it's the Mario Odyssey team, they won't be able to release another game like that really fast.
Mario Kart World looks like it's going to be a really great game. But I doubt it's going to shake the industry like the OG Super Mario Bros, Super Mario 64 or Zelda Breath of the Wild.
So I'll vote for the Nintendo 64, with the Switch being of close second, and NES on third. Maybe the Switch 2 will top the Nes, but I don't think that Mario Kart World will be as influential as the 3 titles I just mentioned earlier.
But maybe I'm wrong, maybe it will shake up the open world and racing genre big times. But I doubt so.
It's a really solid launch lineup though, there are lots of games, from lots of different style, and there's also the backward compatibility with the amazing Switch library. For exemple, I thinking about buying Lego City Undercover, which is on sale at 5€ these days, it seems like this game has long loading times and some framerate issues, both problem could be solved by the more powerful hardware...
Dear Nintendo, with all due respect and with all the love I've got for your history a'd track record in breaking conventions by making awesome games. Why are you so ***** greedy?
Best regards.
Also, where are the footage for the Switch2 eeditions of Xenoblade 3 and Xenoblade X? I can't wait to play X at 4K 120fps 🥰
@Lofoten I guess we can use it as a reverse compass. It's funny that the least positive review does not complain about the gameplay, but for some politic agenda that doesn't want to show its true nature.
@NintendoPete I think I'll bite. I've just started Xenoblade Chronicles 2's DLC, but I have the third game on my backlog, and I definitely plan to play the DLC considering the great reviews of the DLC and the stellar track record of Monolith Studios.
Ibnevef though I'd like the Xenoblade franchise this much. I'm a bit burned out of jRPG, but these games are so great.
It sucks that they're patenting the map thing in the loading screen, it's actually a very neat idea that could be used in pretty much any open world game with fast travel.
Nope for me, I really don't like the art style. And I like my platform games to be bit challenging.
Plus there are already way too many indie metroidvania games on my backlog.
The woke agenda of Disney doesn't help, I don't want to give money to those people. That said, maybe one day during a sale...
That said, it's nice that the game turned up being so good. It's not really for me, but I'm always happy to see a game being successfully developed and received.
I have voted for Wave Race, but frankly, any Nintendo racing game that is not Mario Kart would be enough to please me. I really loved 1080 avalanche , Excite Bike 64, Excite Truck was amazing too. And let's not talk about F-zero.
"the RPG developer — which also helps Nintendo with many of its big releases, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — "
It's a shame that they don't give Gamefreaks, or maybe even totally handle the tech of the Pokemon games. I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 these days. And it looks beautiful (low res, but still beautiful). XC1 was amazing for the Wii. XC3 looks really good too. These guys are really skilled, unlike Gamefreaks.
I don't like the character design and the hip hop music of the trailer. But I doubt the later will have any place in the actual game. The gameplay looks super cool, it gives me some Metroid Dread vibes. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
It reminds me when I started playing Timesplitters 2 on Gamecube after years of "1.2 solitaire" on N64. It took me a while to get use to move with the left stick and aim with the right stick. It's a shame that Nintendo didn't remap the controls by default, twin sticks FPS controls have been standard for 20 years now (Halo CE was released in 2003).
But hey, it's Nintendo. At least Goldeneye is officially available, which is a miracle on its own. And there are solutions thanks to the greats options available in the base game and the system level customisable controls.
I wish I could buy the game, I really don't like the subscription model.
I'm all for remakes, if I haven't played the games it's a good opportunity to catch up, if I did play them, it might be a good excuse to replay it. If I'm not hyped about the game, it's fine, it's not like the team making BotW 2 is working on these games.
It's pretty much a win on every aspect. I rather have classical games being given another life than having ***** new low budget games. And y backlog is kind of out of control, so I'm not offended by new games being released that I'm not interested in than the opposite.
In that case I kind of want to replay Wind Waker, but I've played it on Wii U and it doesn't seem to me like it was that long ago.
I like the black borders, maybe it's the nostalgia, but it gives them a classy look. I don't really like the US boxes with the red column getting over the picture.
The japanese art is definitely the worst one to me, and I usually like japaneses box arts. But the characters are all over the place.
I will definitely watch this. I loved those two episodes, the tactile gameplay was amazing and the graphics were top notch for the hardware. I really liked the big dungeon of the first game, it gave the game a bit of a challenge. You have to travel it several times, but each time you have new items which opens new paths, and shortcuts.
Spirit Tracks was a bit less inspired with its train, but it was still a very solid game with a few enhancements here and there.
It really surprises me to see Double Dash that high, to me it's one of the worst entry in the series. It's still a very fine game, but the double character counts doesn't add much and the tracks are not very inspired. I vastly prefer the new drift system introduced in Mario Kart Wii too. Also the soundtrack is pretty bad.
As of my favorites, it's a tie between Super Mario Kart (for nostalgic reasons, it was so mind blowing back then), Mario Kart 8 (nothing too special about this one, but it's the last one, the soundtrack is amazing and it looks awesome). I really love the mission mode of Mario Kart DS too, and the game was very impressive for the hardware too.
I'm really looking forward this hum Psone hum Era nostalgic platform game. I'm a sucker for 3D platform and this one looks lovely and interesting to play with its old school camera and frog gun mechanic. Another feature that really got my interest is the time trial mode with set times.
There are many games with time trial modes, but par times are really good, I'm not good enough to compete with world records, and I'm usually not motivated enough to go all out and beat my own times over and over until I reach my limits. Good set times are a bliss. I really enjoyed these times in games like Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing and Crash Bandicoot 3 to name a few games that had some similar features.
I hope that the game will be as cool to play as it looks.
Pro tip : don't give a stupid confusing name to your next console. Just call the successor Switch 2 or Super Switch. If they call it Switch 4K or something confusing the most casual people will think its just an accessory or a variant.
I voted for Orba Dinn, I bought it a few month (years?) ago, but it's in my backlog. I've never touched it lol.
I'm not sure if I'll play it next month, because I'm on a big game from my backlog : Xenoblade Chronicles. I bought in for 10€ during a sale. And I never really got to play it until last week. I did play trough the first town but it didn't clicked to me back then, plus it was a time when I couldn't really play from home.
Most of my gaming was on handheld (3DS and Vita, and Switch a bit later). But I finally returned to it, and I'm really glad I did. I really like it. The bad news is that now I've added two massive games to me already huge list of games to play. Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenoblade Chronicles 2,plus the third game is coming...
So many games, so little time. Obra Dinn definitely is on my to-do list though. It looks like an amazing game.
It wasn't really launch day. But back then, when when my parents bought me the Super Nintendo, I had to buy one game. I had the choice between Super Soccer, Super Tennis and F-Zero. I didn't knew what a F-ZERD was, and it looks like I was more into Tennis than Soccer. But I sure didn't enjoy Super Tennis that much. Hopefully my older brother did, he played it quite a lot so it was not all lost.
I played Super Soccer later, and while it wasn't anything to write home about, I had a blast with it, it's one of the few Soccer game I ever enjoyed playing. I've never been into sport Game.
F-Zero is one of my favorite SNES game and I regret not buying it. But how could I know back then I didn't even realized it was a racing game and could not read the title properly. I was hyper for Super Mario World and Zelda ALTTP, but I everything else was uncharted territory for the 9 year old Agent069.
I didn't have much trouble after that, because I become quite a Nintendo nerd since then.
@Fizza personally I prefer physical because you can sell the game later. I only buy digital games for online only titles that have no second hand value or for crazy discounts.
Wow, how could I miss this news? I'm super excited. I love Yooka Laylee, I don't understand the hate it gets. It's up there with Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64 to me. Not quite at the same level, but I had a blast playing it.
I have yet to play Impossible Lair, but I'm not too hyper since there are tons of great indie 2D platform games. But good 3D ones? Not so much. Even if it's changing these years.
I'm glad that Playtonic is developing a sequels, I love the first game, but there's lot of room for improvement.
These sp version are great for old gamer that don't have that much time. They basically show you end or post game gameplay. It's particularly useful if you've already played and finished the games elsewhere.
The double pilots was a nice thing indeed, that said Double Dash, is one my least favorite of the series (but I still love it). Because the soundtrack is really bad, the course design isn't that great either, and I think the new drift system introduced in Mario Kart 8 Wii is much better than the terrible one used before which broke the online of MK DS.
That said it's still Mario Katt, the formula and base gameplay is gold so it's still a very fun racing game.
@predatoure there are nine set of tracks with 4 variations, so that 36 tracks in total which is fine, but only nine visual style might be a bit repetitive indeed.
I just tried the lite version and played a few tracks on handheld mode and I'm pretty impressed. It looks to me that the game runs at 60 fps and 720p, I don't work at digital foundry but it sure looked clean and smooth to me. The handling felt really good too, albeit with only two or three races I can't deliver a proper impression. But overall it was really good. It's a shame that SquareEnix seems to go crazy with the season pass and microtransactions because it sure looks like a very fine kart racing game to me.
The ability to pause the game, especially if it's a single player game. I just don't understand why it's impossible to pause Elden Ring. That said, I haven't bought or played the game. But it baffles me. It's not like it's an MMORPG or an online shooter. It's a single player open world adventure, why isn't it possible to pause the game?
I totally agree, Majora's Mask is amazing. It's one of my favourite game of all times. OoT was mind blowing but it feels very bland in comparison to Majora's Mask madness.
The dungeons are also the best of the series IMO. I like how you have to consider them as a whole thing instead of just separate rooms. Btw I lobe the water temple which is very similar in concept.
I already played and/or bought everything I wanted from the fine consoles. But I think it's a shame, they should keep the store open a few years, it's a bit soon. IMO they should wait for the successor of the Switch, but I can understand their reasons. The service has a cost.
That said, they're making so much money, they're basically saying me to avoid buying digital games as much as possible on Nintendo systems because they won't support it very long.
But they should keep these systems online as long as possible to build trust.
I learned the lessons though, I mostly buy games on steam because the PC platform is most reliable in the long run. And I mostly buy physical games so that I can sell them when I'm done.
I hopz that they had extremely low expectations because from what what I've seen and read, this remaster is a joke. It's really disappointing if many people bought this mess of a game. Which is a same because these old GTA games really deserve better.
I hope it's good. I like some good kart racer, and there are tons of great Square Enix to take from. Bit what they've showed so far looks really bland and generic.
1: an adventure mode similar to Super Mario 64 2: in addition to karts, it would be awesome to have hovercrafts and planes 3: I'm kind of tired of Mario and it's pals, why not chante the rosters, with Donkey Kond or even Diddy Kong
...
I guess I just want another Diddy Kong Racing. On a more serious tone, I'm not sure what I'd want for a new Mario Kart, the formula is basically perfect. Maybe they could continue add characters and track from the whole Nintendo universe instead of just Mario's. But they already did that in MK 8.
I'd really like to see Zak and Wiki coming back. It was a mind blowin mix of a point and click with Wario Ware. It used the Wiimote in very clever way, and it's kind of Wario Ware to me but because the way the puzzles were designed was that you had to discover how to use the items, the game didn't tell you. It's been a while, so my memories is a bit messy, but I remember the game being really clever. One of my favourite game of the system.
Also Excite Bots because I never played it back then, but I did enjoy Excite Trucks quite a lot.
What a huge lists, there really are lots of nice roguelike these days. Thanks God I don't like the randomness inherent to the genre, I like my games short and efficient, which is the total opposite. But I can totally understand the appeal, and I would have totally embraced the style in my younger days when I had lots of free time to play games.
Anyway, as a Megaman enthusiast, I really recommend 20XX which has a really great Megaman X gameplay. And the good news is that since pretty much all of the X games are subpar (outside of X1, 2 and 4 which are amazing), it's actually a good opportunity to get more Megaman X goodness.
Another game that seems to be missing in this list, is One Step From Eden which uses the awesome Megaman Battle Network combat mechanics but uses it a rogue RPG. I have yet to play it but it had a really good reception from both the critics and the players.
The more it goes, the more I love short games. I don't have that much time to play games any more, and there are so many interesting releases. 2 hours or less, is a bit too short though, because it means you can beat the game in one sitting.
10 hours is long for me now, it takes like a week for me to finish a 10 hour game .
I like it despite its flaws. On one hand, it has a terrible story, the NES controls is bafflingly (does that word exists?) stupid and the levels are boring both visually and gameplay wise.
On the other hand, the controls are surprisingly reactive despite the stupid design choices, it's actually fun to move around and shoot at all the badies. Also I don't care much for the story.
So I definitely don't hate it. The linear level design is certainly due to the Wii era ***** philosophy that pleagued pretty much every Nintendo game. They tried so hard to make their games accessible to anyone that they forgot about the core Nintendo audience that love games. I'm so glad that Nintendo is back from this madness.
Mouse and keyboard became standard years after Quake's release. Some people played it with the mouse and keyboard setup in multilayer LAN party, but it took years to become a standard.
I used to play FPS on PC back then, and the first major one that had mouse control as a standard was Half-Life.
In my wildest dreams, Metroid Prime 4 is open world, with at least 3 spherical planets to explore. You'd have to go from one planet to another, kind of like GTA San Andreas, and 3 planets are necessary to have some kind of "open space exploration dynamic". If there's only two planet, you'd always explore the same path (like GTA V with the big Los Santos and mini city on the north of the map).
The game would be a mix of more linear levels we know and love from the 3 previous games, but some open and spherical planets to explore.
But it's way too ambitious and it might be boring, I'm not a game designer. But hey, I can always dream.
Considering the timing, I think the EMMI robots from Metroid Dread, sounds like a good idea to me. But it's not on the list, so I voted for the Tetrominos.
I was disapointed, I'm interested in the N64 app, but I don't like subscriptions, so I'm a bit worried about the price. The n64 controller is really expensive. I expected "free" Gameboy games though so even there it's a deception.
I don't care at all about Kirby and Bayonetta; the artstyle is as awful as ever, the gameplay showed looked terrible too.
Meh, why do Nintendo release so many Kirby games, they make like two or three for each consoles, and they're all as dull as the next one. Bring us back F-Zero, Pilotwings, or something. There are millions of quality 2D sidescrollers on the indie scene, we don't need more .

Xenoblade chronicles 3, I'm a bit late to the party but it was a fantastic ride. Especially the ending and the whole sequence of Yuni's death.
I plan to play the DLC and I'll finally be done with that series. Until the next episode!

@Lofoten I guess we can use it as a reverse compass. It's funny that the least positive review does not complain about the gameplay, but for some politic agenda that doesn't want to show its true nature.
Re: Nintendo's eShop Summer Sale Knocks Up To 75% Off Select Switch Titles (Europe)
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Loading Sequence Patent Filed By Nintendo
It sucks that they're patenting the map thing in the loading screen, it's actually a very neat idea that could be used in pretty much any open world game with fast travel.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Disney Illusion Island
Nope for me, I really don't like the art style. And I like my platform games to be bit challenging.
Plus there are already way too many indie metroidvania games on my backlog.
The woke agenda of Disney doesn't help, I don't want to give money to those people. That said, maybe one day during a sale...
That said, it's nice that the game turned up being so good. It's not really for me, but I'm always happy to see a game being successfully developed and received.
Re: Poll: Which Dormant Nintendo Franchise Would You Most Like To See Return?
I have voted for Wave Race, but frankly, any Nintendo racing game that is not Mario Kart would be enough to please me. I really loved 1080 avalanche , Excite Bike 64, Excite Truck was amazing too. And let's not talk about F-zero.
Nintendo's racing games were amazing back then.
Re: Monolith Soft Profits Almost Doubled In Fiscal Year Ending March 2023
"the RPG developer — which also helps Nintendo with many of its big releases, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — "
It's a shame that they don't give Gamefreaks, or maybe even totally handle the tech of the Pokemon games. I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 these days. And it looks beautiful (low res, but still beautiful). XC1 was amazing for the Wii. XC3 looks really good too. These guys are really skilled, unlike Gamefreaks.
Re: Poll: Are You Excited About Ubisoft's Metroidvania "Inspired" Prince Of Persia Platformer?
I don't like the character design and the hip hop music of the trailer. But I doubt the later will have any place in the actual game. The gameplay looks super cool, it gives me some Metroid Dread vibes. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
Re: Random: GoldenEye Control Troubles On Switch? This Simple Joy-Con Swap Trick Is The Answer
Re: Poll: Do You Actually Want Switch Ports Of Wind Waker And Twilight Princess?
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Wave Race 64
I like the black borders, maybe it's the nostalgia, but it gives them a classy look. I don't really like the US boxes with the red column getting over the picture.
The japanese art is definitely the worst one to me, and I usually like japaneses box arts. But the characters are all over the place.
Re: Watch: This 90-Minute Deep Dive Into Two Of The Most Underrated Zeldas Is Well Worth The Time
I will definitely watch this.
Re: Best Mario Kart Games Of All Time
It really surprises me to see Double Dash that high, to me it's one of the worst entry in the series.
Re: Nostalgic N64-Inspired Platformer 'Frogun' Leaps Onto Switch In August
Re: Nintendo Says It Wants To Avoid A Repeat Of Wii U With Switch's Successor
Pro tip : don't give a stupid confusing name to your next console. Just call the successor Switch 2 or Super Switch. If they call it Switch 4K or something confusing the most casual people will think its just an accessory or a variant.
Re: Backlog Club: Week Zero, May - It's Time To Play Earthbound
Re: Feature: What's Your Biggest Nintendo Launch Day Regret?
Re: 85 Must-Have Games You Should Pick Up In The Switch eShop Sale (Europe)
@Fizza personally I prefer physical because you can sell the game later. I only buy digital games for online only titles that have no second hand value or for crazy discounts.
Re: Playtonic's Original Yooka-Laylee Game Is Getting A Follow-Up Title
Wow, how could I miss this news? I'm super excited. I love Yooka Laylee, I don't understand the hate it gets. It's up there with Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64 to me. Not quite at the same level, but I had a blast playing it.
I have yet to play Impossible Lair, but I'm not too hyper since there are tons of great indie 2D platform games. But good 3D ones? Not so much. Even if it's changing these years.
I'm glad that Playtonic is developing a sequels, I love the first game, but there's lot of room for improvement.
Re: Virtua Racing-Inspired 'Formula Retro Racing' Speeds Onto Switch This April
It looks like a fine racer, but that Switch version seems a bit expensive compared to the Steam version which costs only 5€ : https://store.steampowered.com/app/1239660/Formula_Retro_Racing
Re: Nintendo Adds Super Mario World And Super Punch-Out!! Switch Online Special Versions
These sp version are great for old gamer that don't have that much time. They basically show you end or post game gameplay. It's particularly useful if you've already played and finished the games elsewhere.
Re: Feature: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Is The Best Mario Kart, Right? Let's Find Out
The double pilots was a nice thing indeed, that said Double Dash, is one my least favorite of the series (but I still love it).
Re: Review: Chocobo GP - A Surprising Mario Kart 8 Alternative For Final Fantasy Fans
Re: Feature: 5 Accessibility Features That Every Game Should Have
The ability to pause the game, especially if it's a single player game. I just don't understand why it's impossible to pause Elden Ring. That said, I haven't bought or played the game. But it baffles me. It's not like it's an MMORPG or an online shooter. It's a single player open world adventure, why isn't it possible to pause the game?
Re: Video: Some Of Us Prefer Zelda: Majora's Mask Over Ocarina Of Time Because We're Right
I totally agree, Majora's Mask is amazing.
Re: Poll: The End Is Coming, But How Much Will You Miss The Wii U And 3DS eShop?
Re: Gyro And 'Flight Stick' Control Update Available For Fortnite On Switch
I hope it's well implemented this time. I tried the old gyro controls back then and it wasn't very good.
Re: Take-Two Says GTA Trilogy "Significantly Exceeded" Sales Expectations Despite "Quality Lapse"
I hopz that they had extremely low expectations because from what what I've seen and read, this remaster is a joke. It's really disappointing if many people bought this mess of a game. Which is a same because these old GTA games really deserve better.
Re: Square Enix Details 'Custom Race Mode' In Final Fantasy Spin-Off Chocobo GP
I hope it's good. I like some good kart racer, and there are tons of great Square Enix to take from. Bit what they've showed so far looks really bland and generic.
Re: Mario Kart 9 Is "In Active Development" And Comes With A "New Twist", Analyst Claims
Here are my ideas :
1: an adventure mode similar to Super Mario 64
2: in addition to karts, it would be awesome to have hovercrafts and planes
3: I'm kind of tired of Mario and it's pals, why not chante the rosters, with Donkey Kond or even Diddy Kong
Re: Random: Circus Pilgrims Played Megalovania To The Pope And Revived A 6-Year-Old Undertale Meme
@Giancarlothomaz I don't like this Pope but I agree with him about the pets.
This news reminds me that I need to play Undertale, but my backlog is so long.
Re: Feature: 14 Wii Games That Deserve Switch Ports
I'd really like to see Zak and Wiki coming back. It was a mind blowin mix of a point and click with Wario Ware. It used the Wiimote in very clever way, and it's kind of Wario Ware to me but because the way the puzzles were designed was that you had to discover how to use the items, the game didn't tell you. It's been a while, so my memories is a bit messy, but I remember the game being really clever. One of my favourite game of the system.
Also Excite Bots because I never played it back then, but I did enjoy Excite Trucks quite a lot.
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Roguelikes, Roguelites And Run-Based Games
Re: Talking Point: How Many Hours Is A 'Short' Game For You?
The more it goes, the more I love short games. I don't have that much time to play games any more, and there are so many interesting releases. 2 hours or less, is a bit too short though, because it means you can beat the game in one sitting.
10 hours is long for me now, it takes like a week for me to finish a 10 hour game .
Re: Random: Forget Dread, It's All About Metroid: Other M On Twitter Right Now
I like it despite its flaws.
Re: Quake On Switch Now Supports Mouse And Keyboard Controls
OG way was keyboard only. And it was ***** lol
Mouse and keyboard became standard years after Quake's release. Some people played it with the mouse and keyboard setup in multilayer LAN party, but it took years to become a standard.
I used to play FPS on PC back then, and the first major one that had mouse control as a standard was Half-Life.
Great news by the way.
Re: Retro Studios Scrapped An "Open-World" Idea For Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Re: Feature: So, Who Will Be The Final Fighter In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Considering the timing, I think the EMMI robots from Metroid Dread, sounds like a good idea to me. But it's not on the list, so I voted for the Tetrominos.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Yesterday's Nintendo Direct?
I was disapointed, I'm interested in the N64 app, but I don't like subscriptions, so I'm a bit worried about the price. The n64 controller is really expensive. I expected "free" Gameboy games though so even there it's a deception.
I don't care at all about Kirby and Bayonetta; the artstyle is as awful as ever, the gameplay showed looked terrible too.
Re: A New Kirby Game Just Leaked On Nintendo Japan's Website
Meh, why do Nintendo release so many Kirby games, they make like two or three for each consoles, and they're all as dull as the next one. Bring us back F-Zero, Pilotwings, or something. There are millions of quality 2D sidescrollers on the indie scene, we don't need more .
I guess I'm not the target audience.
