Myst is one of my favourite game too, I love how the narration mixes well with the puzzles. It's an absolutely brilliant games, the sequel digged the concept deeper, but I still prefer the first one for its purity.
I approve Bowser's choice. As of my favourite game ever, I don't know, there is so much variety. My top list would include Zelda Breath of the Wild, Majora's Mask, Doom, Metroid Prime 2, Perfect Dark and many more...
I wish this new game would be developed by Naughty Dog, it would be nice for the team to have a small side project like that. Making AAA games like Uncharted or TLOU must be exhausting, I'm sure it would be great for the huge developersllike Naughty Dog to have small side projects like that, it would bring some revenues too between two separate releases.
But thinking of about that, most devs are just doing that with DLCs, and ND did that with Uncharted Lost Legacy which is an hybrid between a big DLC and a sequel. But smaller projects sounds more sexy to me.
Anyway, whoever is in charge, I wish them good luck. There are tons of quality 2D platform games in the indie scene, but there aren't many quality 3D ones.
I agree with Mr Paul Veer that we shouldn't make too much difference between AAA games and indie games, but not for the same reasons.
To me indie games get away with a lot of criticism precisely because they are low budget. As a gamer my ressources are limited, and by ressources I mean money and free time. Lots of indie games get stellar reviews while AAA games get tons of criticism and not always good reasons.
That said I'm not bashing indie games, in fact I love them, AAA games can't afford the luxury to innovate any more, and most indie games are fairly short which I appreciate a lot since I have less and less time as life goes on.
I'm not sure why it's such a big deal. The switch is roughly the equivalent of a PS3 and the Xbox 360 in term of raw power, but with more modern chips and firmware. Those console were able to produce magnificent and massive games, like Last of Us or GTA V. Pretty much any game can run on Switch with some heavy visuas downgrades. Which seems to be the case with the switcher III.

Re: Random: Super Mario Land Has Been Ported To The SNES, And It Looks Amazing
It looks amazing for a Snes game, I hope it's not a hoax. Also I hope that the rom file will pop up on the Internet some day.

That said I'm not a game developer.
