@SarahMarieFiren You don't want to play this, trust me. It's pretty terrible. It plays as bad as it looks like it plays. In the time since I last heard anything about this game they don't seem to have really improved anything...just taken out some of the more blatant copying.
@Mopati Also, on the music...there's clearly bits of Splatoon music in there. Or at least the main riff from Splattack in there, making the song sound like a weird off-key remix of Splattack (also the numbers filed off version of 'Now or Never' and the music from the results screen when you lose at the end there lol).
@NESguy94 Fair enough, I don't mean anything bad to people who create emulators, I'm just inclined to believe that this is the speed it's supposed to run at is all.
@SKTTR They cut it some time before this final version. Dylan Cuthbert gave a reason but I forget what it was (performance I think?). IIRC the version that has it is the ROM you might find floating around usually called the 'alpha' version.
@dronesplitter we don't know what the hard mode entails (or what the 'map feature' is either). Get mad if you like, in all seriousness, but shouldn't we at least wait until we know exactly what those ARE?
Doesn't really matter what Hori thinks they can charge since you have so many other, better options (I just bought a card that holds significantly more and is slightly faster for the price of their 16 GB card).
This is why I'm glad they went with SD (unlike Sony and the Vita). If you don't like the prices from one company there are plenty of other good choices.
@Yorumi I think perhaps I'm seeing it differently than you. Regardless of the specs (which we do not yet know for certain), for me that price is worth it. Assuming it is a console /portable hybrid as it seems to be, that would probably be worth that price to me.
@ReshiramZekrom more like fans are trolling themselves. At this point I wish people would just chill out for a while. I'm sure we'll hear about it before launch.
I wonder if Magic Elves (formerly Pocket Master/Elves Union/Elves Frontier?) is still active? That's another Pokemon related thing. Doesn't really play like Pokemon, but most of the 'monsters' are cute girl versions of Pokemon.
I've had it for a while, I'd like to echo that it is indeed a really good game. I've been having a lot of fun with it. By the way, I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned, but the game has DLC. You really don't NEED it, the game has more than enough content as is, but it's kind of interesting.
It gives you an optional FM music pack (that's to say, new mixes for the music that use something sounding like the PC-98 or Sega Genesis instead of something NES sounding), gives you a super hard pack of levels called Armageddon, and strangely makes it so you can change classes at the castle on each map which is very useful if you're playing single player. Again this is all one bit of DLC.
I really wish RCMadiax would stop. Just...please stop. Go make something that's actually good. The Letter is better than this, and that game is terrible. At least I feel like the developer tried there even if the results are pretty awful.
@bluedogrulez Actually it's $30k. That's why it's nice that the win bonus for Turf Wars has increased, it'll make getting that easier especially if you manage to build up a decent multiplier by winning consecutive Turf Wars.
I don't know...I wish he'd put more polish on his games, or flesh them out more, or something. Some of RCMADIAX's stuff does have interesting ideas, I feel like he could do something really cool, but instead it's something like this that seems like it would get old really quick because there's really very little to the game.
@jariw not only that, but Nikki said there was something weird about the last actual software update...apparently it should have been larger than it was, but some of it wasn't pushed to consoles. The only reason I could think that they'd do that is so that certain people don't 'spoil' something coming down the pipe.
Maybe there finally WILL be that Nintendo Direct (very weird that they're changing their procedure this week). Nikki is probably having a field day with this news.
well, someone else assuming it's even real in the first place. Really beginning to wonder. I suppose if nothing else it's a spooky ghost story just in time for October.
I saw some people blaming NWPlayer...actually, it's not them. It's someone else. Nikki said that if this happens to you, Splatfest should fix it (it forces the the plaza to reload, which makes sense), by the way. Might be useful to add that to the post.
It seems...overblown, but you have to remember...he DID use their IP, which is very clearly not cool. I feel bad for the guy, but well...he did infringe on copyright.
I would be up for Mario Galaxy 3. The first two are still some of the best, most imaginative (and fun) games I've played. My girlfriend would flip over a third one too...I got her playing the first one, and when the second one came out we were both super excited.
There sure is a lot of whining about it...I personally think most people are just using Japanese players as a scapegoat because they did bad in their match. There are occasions where there's lag, sure, but most of the time it's not so in my experience (and certainly not more than when I'm playing with American players or someone else who isn't Japanese).
If they include Amiibo data with it like they say they are, surely they're going to be sued into oblivion. I do see the value in backing up your figures (well, I would if more games needed to store data on 'em anyway). I suppose that most of the people who would buy this probably wouldn't have bought the Amiibo anyway though...I mean, don't most people want them for the figure itself too?
The really interesting thing, I think, is that apparently all it takes to turn your character into an Octoling is a small change in the save file. One value is Boy Inkling, another is Girl Inkling, then another is the female Octoling. Makes me think they will put that in eventually, or that they were at one point GOING to put that in.
@ToneDeath Yeah, there is something to be said for not having to find say an old NES controller that's in good condition still. And yeah, I think you're right...the turbo buttons are very NES Max like.
That's really interesting....the 'mostly complete' version that eventually did get leaked is pretty awesome (my compliments to everyone involved, it's understandable why it never came out, but boy it's a shame because the game is pretty excellent). Cool that there really DOES exist a fully completed version.... I doubt it would happen, but wouldn't that be a great way to drum up excitement for Starfox on the WiiU?
Oh wow, I didn't realize the developer of AVGN Adventures was in fact the person who made that MANOS side scroller. It's pretty good! Now that I realize this, I can kind of see some similarities in both the games.
I can't think of many others...the new fighters I wanted most ended up in the game (Shulk and Palutena). An Inkling from Splatoon would be pretty cool.

Re: Video: Here's What Star Fox 2 Looks Like On The SNES Classic Edition
Slower? Hmm....I don't think so, I think it's just that some emulators run this game a good deal faster than they should, accuracy wise.
Re: HAMSTER Corporation Promises Improvements in Nintendo Switch ACA Neo Geo Titles
I'm glad I saw this, I knew something looked wrong about the video output.
Re: HAMSTER Corporation Promises Improvements in Nintendo Switch ACA Neo Geo Titles
@MetalKingShield I think they released both of those on PS4 a while back, so I'd say it's probably possible.

I don't understand, why would the price of NX being that price be disappointing? That sounds fine to me.

@msvt Right, like why would I play this when could play Axiom Verge, for God's sake? Also developed by one guy, IIRC.

It should be said too that Turf War is giving out significantly more money for a win now too. Ranked might be as well...not sure?

@Baker1000 Well, if it's an SD card like thing...you can easily fit MORE than you would on a Bluray disc onto an SD card. That shouldn't be a problem.
