I think I want to point out that very soon after the video/images, I saw one of BARBIE on the character select screen of Smash that also looked convincing (very much like that still of Rayman on the select screen actually). People really need to take this with a grain of salt instead of looking for justifications for it to be real ('oh, he can't be selected because 'x', ''there was a trophy!') because clearly it can be faked.
@Prof_Clayton Is RCMADIAX going to focus a bit more? That's good...he's done some decent work (Block Drop U is kind of fun), I think if he focused a bit more he could make something that's really great.
Why on earth would someone buy a visual novel from the company that made The Letter. If that's any indication, they have no idea at all how to tell a story, and a VN is mostly story!
I wouldn't expect it until at least noon eastern, folks. That seems to be when they update the eShop. I know they said it was now available, but usually it takes until then for them to update regardless of what they say.
Maybe I'll check it out, out of curiosity once it's inevitably discounted to $0.49 like The Letter was. Glad to hear the dev is listening to some of the criticism, but I'm not surprised it's awful.
Only bad thing though, is that it doesn't sound like it has the only redeeming thing The Letter has....to a certain kind of person (like me) The Letter's attempts at a story and trying to be scary were actually somewhat funny due to how completely terrible they were.
I hope that's not true YET. They haven't even been out long, I was waiting to pick a few up until after Christmas. I actually wanted the Wii Fit Trainer one.
No...this is more about their inexperience than Nintendo's policies. I hope I don't come off as an ass saying this, but even I know they (and all console makers) have a certification process. They also probably shouldn't have expected Nintendo to bankroll them when they are a complete unknown without anything to really show anyone yet.
I wish them well, but the lack of thought that seems to have been put into things on their part doesn't bode well for the project.
oh my god, that draw distance is terrible. The game isn't even good looking at all either, you have to wonder how the draw distance is that bad. I'm going to assume the developer is incompetent.
Hard to review something like this when no games that are compatible with it are released. I feel like this company has their priorities skewed (maybe get some games out first eh?).
So...that's 'alpha' footage, yet they intend to get it out this year? Also, god, yes...that terribly high FOV really didn't help the game look...well, not ugly. I mean, I don't judge a game on graphics first, but maaaan. At least if the FOV was lower it wouldn't physically hurt my eyes.
I do think this is a great idea, but it is kind of too bad that the XLs won't have this. No way I'm not getting an XL of this eventually, but I like customization too Nintendo!
Don't have time to watch the video right now, but here's my general opinion...
For me, flash carts are a convenience thing. In my case I'm talking about the one I have for Nintendo DS stuff (usable on my 3DS). For years I've been dumping out copies of my DS games and putting the boxes up in my closet...I've got a really tiny apartment here. I've also been doing the same thing with my GBA games (and since this flashcart also has a built-in CPU that can be used for say emulating the GBA, it means I can use them here too which is impossible without such a device on a 3DS).
That said, if a GBA game I like such as say Mother 3 (just as an example) were to appear on the virtual console, I'd buy it there to support the things I enjoy despite being able to play it also on the flashcart or the original cartridge (though in Japanese in that case).
I feel much the same way with other forms of emulation (and other console specific flash carts). I'm glad to support whoever it is that wants to re-release these older games, I use other (unsanctioned, shall I say) emulation for things that are unlikely to ever come out because of weird rights issues, or the original developer just not caring any more (like the SNES RPG Robotrek...good game, I think Squeenix perhaps owns it now, but they're never going to do anything with it on VC since it's not Final Fantasy)..
Pfft, haha. This keeps getting funnier to me. I'm going to assume this was predicated on them feeling like they might not hit their goal, so they decided to toady it up to the WiiU crowd, since they love to fund stuff.
OK, I think for $0.50 or so, I'm going to buy this. Not because of this coming update, not because I think it'll be good, but because this game seems like such a trainwreck that I have to see what it's about.
At least that's better than Farsight, who are all like "Yeah, we're doing a WiiU version!" then let such an enormous time pass that I can only conclude that they silently canceled it.
Haha, yeah, I'm sure Night Trap HD will be a system seller. I mean...I give them credit for the dedication they have to bringing this back, but who in their right mind wants an FMV game in this day and age? I never want to see one of those again as long as I live.
That's too bad, but yeah....it's probably a good thing to hold it back until this bug that can 'hard lock' the console is eradicated. That's not a minor thing.
They still blame everyone BUT themselves...which of course, is where the blame should truly be laid. It's weird how they say things like 'our competitors were trying to stop us'...what on Earth are they talking about? I can't even think of anything that would make that make some kind of sense.
By the way, don't expect to see on that Facebook page any negative comments, not for long anyway. They've already deleted a few. I guess they can't handle the criticism of people saying 'Oh dear, I'm kind of scared to donate anything to you guys at this point.'
"Another case of NL not doing their search" So you're faulting them for not completing the game five times before reviewing it? Maybe it gets harder or something on each 'loop', but you don't need to do that to review the game...it's not like it plays very differently.
Oooh, cool. I don't know how anyone can say there's a poor selection when we have Rabi Laby. It's actually quite good guys (well, the previous two were, haven't tried the 3DS one yet).
@TheRealThanos Oh no, it's not the music so much as the sound effects (though the music does have a certain sound that brings to mind Turrican). On watching the Jim Power video (didn't watch enough of that earlier it seems)...apparently those other effects in the Buck Rogers that sound like they are literally the SFX from Turrican were changed. Maybe they were used as place holders?

Re: Club Nintendo Goes Rewards Crazy With Final Update in North America
I would get some of the rewards there if I could get on. I'll definitely get Golden Sun...besides that, not sure.
Re: Unused Textures in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Suggest Dr. Mario Themed Stage
Thats pretty neat. Maybe they'll finish it up and add it in, in a future update! (like the Miiverse level, whatever it was called).
Re: Rumour: Cave Story 2 Teased at PAX South and Could Be in the Works
Well, it is something Pixel has talked about on and off for years. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens eventually.
Re: Cube Life: Island Survival is Another Minecraft-Inspired Title Heading to the Wii U eShop
@Fidu I was wondering that too...they do look like the actual graphics from Minecraft. Hopefully it's a placeholder.

@eza Thanks for explaining that. I had read something about that a while back, but you explained it better than I would have.

I watched the final video...felt like it was a bit too long, but that end with Shulk man...that was pretty hilarious.

Hahaha, this is pretty good actually. I'm glad he's got a sense of humor too.
