@Hughesy It may have been released as such, but it is not. So NL are not even dignifying it with a score. Ideally there would be no numeric scoring systems so people would read reviews in full, but this is the next best thing.

Good on you for withholding a score. I know there will be those expecting a score 'as the game is now', but you're effectively reviewing an unfinished product.

I have a feeling that Nintendo are holding back stock for the launch. They don't want another NES Mini debacle, because it doesn't benefit them, plus queues are good publicity.

The alternative is that they will ramp up production for the holiday season.

Either way, I don't think we'll see the stock shortages we witnessed before (even if people's fears are reasonable).

It's virtually broken on Switch. I just about played through all the levels, but on some of them the slowdown was lethal. It's a fun game when it works, but I would recommend holding off until it's patched (AKA finished).

Re: FIFA 18 Sales Are Important for Future EA Support of Nintendo Switch

@MegaVel91 Publishers don't care if it's a hot item if the install base is low. Fact is, at the time FIFA releases, Switch will still only have a fraction of the audience enjoyed by the other consoles.

And do they want to submit resources to future projects if there's no evidence that the hot item will actually be manufactured in sufficient quantities?

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Every publisher approaches every new platform in exactly the same way, to be fair. Wii got bespoke ports because the userbase was so vast; Wii U didn't because the userbase was small so third party sales were poor. There's no reason for EA or anyone to blindly throw their weight behind a system that's still an unknown entity.
