You didn't even read my comment and you're straight up wrong. But if you buy that thing for 700 dollars I hope it's worth it. (It's not.) I was a big time Lego buyer (along with my kids) for 10 years, but this nonsense is out of control. Also cant help but reiterate the 10 cent a piece thing is soooo not true any longer. "Your formula" is something you latched onto from circa 2010. Which is not "your" formula. Smh. If you would in reality spend 700$ on that, look for a worthy charity instead.

Lol what a crazy thing to say... the big one is 3 medium sized pokemon for 700 dollars. The 7th most expensive lego set of all time. You could get the same 3 mega block pokemon for 120 and they look better. And any lego regular knows the price per piece thing hasn't mattered since 2015. They just add 2,500 1 stud pieces to meet the formula.

Re: Where To Pre-Order Metroid Prime 4: Beyond For Nintendo Switch 1 + 2, Plus New Metroid amiibo

I'm so annoyed every time I see a tariff comment. Tariff on Japanese goods excluding metal, automobiles is 15%. The normal amiibo with tariff should be 18.49 US. The bike 28.99. Add a little inflation maybe 20 bucks and 31. Ridiculous argument if you know the numbers. Even if they're getting China rate tariff its 21 and 32 base. So yes factors but much bigger factor is pure Nintendo greed. Don't even get me started on the Galaxy and Kirby ones.

Re: All amiibo List - Every Animal Crossing, Zelda, Smash Bros., Street Fighter, Metroid, Mario, Donkey Kong amiibo

@Croctopus it is mostly Nintendo's fault. Even with full inflation and tariff figured in, a regular amiibo should be about 23$ US, which is still too much for a piece of plastic. 40 and 50 bucks they're kidding themselves and anyone who pays that just got fleeced. Also at this point the aftermarket for these things consists of about 22 people worldwide, who all bought 4 of each figure and are looking to unload 3.

Re: New Kirby amiibo Will Apparently Be Nintendo's "Most Expensive amiibo Ever"

I was an amiibo completist for years but it got out of hand a long time ago. I probably have 120 + of the things. I became more selective when they went from 12.99 to 15.99. When they got to 25/30 I said forget it. Now this is definitely insane. Never again. (I could even throw in that I was able to get all the common Smash Bros. Ones for 2.99 clearance. ) At this point its a 400% price increase.
