Stardew Valley, the extremely charming farm-sim RPG that's been near the top of various Switch eShop wishlists, now has a release date.
Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that the game will arrive on 5th October, and the price on the UK store is £10.99 (a match for the Steam price). Chucklefish Games also confirmed that's the date for North America, with a price of $14.99USD confirmed.

It's certainly exciting news; are you planning to pick this up on Switch?

Yep, I'll give it a try.. I hope there's more than just farming lol...
Awesome. I don't know how I'll find the time with all the other games I've got to play, but I will find a way. Played a bit on PC but it's a much better fit for the Switch.
I've seen so much hype surrounding this game that I'm going to be downloading it first thing. The price seems fair too.
edit: Does anyone know if the multiplayer is included?
This game looks great. In time for Halloween.
It's time I finally clone myself and get another Switch. 😜
Cue all the Nintendrones "perfect fit for the Switch!"
Instant buy. Been waiting for this for a long time!!
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god.
faints
There's really not enough hours in the day to keep up with all these Switch releases. Spare a thought for our wallets and social life's devs, for crying out loud.
Very excited about this one. It’s the perfect fit for Switch.
I'll buy it due to the hype (once I'm done with Golf Story).
Yes! I know what I'm downloading this Thursday.
Been stalking Tiy on twitter for a while. Finally a release date. And it's this week.
"Perfect fit for the Switch"
I'm surprised (and happy) with the quick annoucement to release turnaround. Same with Golf Story last week.
Finally a fair price. Day 1.
Big. Red. Combine Harvester!
People can stop complaining about the release date now. Thank god. Complaining about a PC game that has been out since last year. I love Switch fans =)
ok now where are Floor Kids and that rhythm sports thingy from Harmonix
Cool for people who are looking forward to this game. But I am going to pass..
@Menchi187 Congratulations. You're the first person to make my ignore list up here.
@Moon Wasn't the Switch version getting an exclusive co op mode?
Price is right, timing is awful - so much to play!
That didn't take long for 3 people to get exposed. Keep it going drones~
Griffin McElroy's favorite game of 2016? Heck yeah!
Heh, about time.
I want to buy it, but I wonder if it'll ever get physical like the other consoles.
@xPH03N1Xx86 Its not exclusive, the Switch was getting Co-OP first and then the other versions will be getting it soon after.
Wow. I fully expected this to be £19.99 at release, so to be almost 50% of my expectation makes this an instant buy for me. I haven't played a farming simulator for ages so hopefully this grabs me and doesn't let go.
All of my yes. ALL OF IT.
Now to finish Golf Story!
@Tasuki Oops, my bad
Definitely buying, given the amount of hype surrounding this game. Great price as well!
Yep, good thing i bought groceries yesterday. This is going to be an expensive month.
Perfect fit for the Switch!
Is this similar to Rune Factory?
Looking forward to finally giving this a go and seeing what the big deal is.
@OorWullie Don't sleep. Problem solved. You can work more than one job and game too. Not sure on the life expectancy though.
If I get this on Switch, will I be able to play online with a friend using a computer?
@Moon No version has the MP support yet, and it's only going to be online MP. Steam will get it first, Switch first console to get it.
https://stardewvalley.net/stardew-valley-multiplayer-news/
@Menchi187 thanks for the cynicism, but some games are a good fit for Switch so...
If it's cross-play with PC once multiplayer comes out (or at least if they confirm cross-play and announce that it will come at a later date), I will buy this. Otherwise, I will probably pass, as I have already played this a lot on PC.
My other half put over 70 hours into this on PC (and that’s without even getting married) and she can’t wait for Thursday. Lucky she has her own Switch...
I have this on steam but very rarely game on my computer since the little one was born. I might have to double dip and grab this for the switch!
@Tasuki It's not even getting it first. PC is
@Menchi187 rather be a drone than a troll though...
I love how if you genuinely enjoy something despite its flaws, you're considered a drone.
🎶 'Did ya ever get a ride, did ya ever get a ride, did ya ever get a ride... on a tractor?' 🎶
@Folkloner But they're not
@Menchi187 Great job! Next, go to a bird watching site and say "Cue the bird-dorks talking about birds all the time!" Keep up the good work and maybe a girl will talk to you!
@MartyFlanMJFan It's better being neither. But typical Nintendrones deflection, my condolences.
@YappysDogTreats You seem mad
Held off buying this until the Switch version came. Glad I did now and £10.99 is more than fair!
@Menchi187 There’s a way to be constructive and critical without name calling. That’s just going too low and ruins any credibility of your statements.
Good news. Haven't played yet cause I wanted it on Switch.
Also stop falling for bad bait, people.
@Menchi187 better to be neither, sure, my point though is that it's definitely better to be a drone than a troll, like yourself.
Oh snap! Great price! I was expecting at least $20. Can't wait.
@Menchi187 Actually, it kinda is a perfect fit for the Switch. Which might've been why you were compelled to say it before someone else did. So basically, you just wanted to be correct in your assessment before somebody else said it and stole your thunder. Well done.
@Menchi187 - You're trying so hard, and yet... you need to try harder. Much harder. It's almost as if you're not cut out for this trolling business.
This just reminded me that I stopped playing Story of Seasons and need to get back into that at some point! Or should I just forget it and get this instead?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, this looks like a perfect fit for Switch(TM).
@Menchi187 play nice
I've been holding off on getting this game for PC or PS4 for so long as it seems perfectly suited to portable play. Glad it's finally coming!
@MattFox I won't spoil too much, but there sure is.
BALLS!!! I WAS ALREADY SO HYPE FOR GOLF STORY. THIS COMPLICATES THINGS.
@What_Sthat Yeah, don't feed the troll, etc. Some people will always try to ruin other people's celebration, but hey, Stardew Valley on Switch out this week, so it's way too hard for me to care right now.
@Menchi187 does that hurt your precious feelings snowflake?
So for those that happened to have played both, how would this compare to Rune Factory 4 (which I really enjoyed). That is, farming/relationship/slight combat.
Like others there are just way too many games I'll be buying this year. I'd like to buy this since the price is right and there is so much hype surrounding it. But I probably won't.
I see there is a farming simulator game coming out later this year. Wonder how that compares to Stardew Valley. I might wait to find out.
What's with indie devs announcing Switch release dates days in before the launch?
I've never played a game like this before, I'll pick it up and give it a shot. Seems like the perfect fit for the Switch.
Hellz yeah, getting it day 1 since I held off on the PC version after the Switch announcement
Now, I just want Hollow Knight and Owlboy!
So is this better than Harvest Moon? Or, does it have any unique features to differentiate it? I'm trying to understand the hype.
I might get this simply because there are way too many Harvest Moon games and I don't even know where to begin.
@Menchi187 from what I hear, the game seems like it would be perfect for a toaster if it were ported to one. It doesn't take a Nintendrone to appreciate such titles (although I'd gladly take the epithet from you and put it on my shelf beside "Hasdrone" and whatever else I've got there). Rich 2D graphics (that polygon CGI took over a decade to match the eloquence of) and Harvest Moon recipes don't age. And the Three Sacred Letters cult you guys subscribe to has got enough firewood for your furnaces in the past few weeks alone.
Wow ! Great price ! Thought it would be around the £20 mark ! Definetly getting this !!
I will pick it up this thursday!
@Menchi187 So I have a question, which you'll have an answer for unless you're just a troll like so many people claim: what games fit Switch, and why isn't Stardew Valley among them?
@Menchi187 as in fans ? People who like Nintendo and yknow, go to a site that is all about Nintendo written for people who want to read about and get excited about Nintendo games ?
Sheesh....
Anyway, this will be a perfect fit for the Switch ;p
@Menchi187 Why are you even here?
I think the Rune Factory/Harvest Moon question is valid, because I think that Stardew has been successful because it launched on platforms that didn't have access to decent versions of those games. In terms of Switch that's technically the case still of course, but many of us have 3DS's.
@Aerona I'm in the same boat as you. Tried Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town on the GBA and couldn't get into it so traded the game in.
Something about Stardew Valley catches my attention though and part of me really wants to play it, even though I don't really have the time to
@dregs78 I love you too <3
I can't wait to continue my life of "dating 8 people at the same time when I'm not farming/fighting monsters" on SWITCH.
THat's it? 15? I assumed it would be 30. This is a definite buy day one.
This will be a nice way to pass the time until Mario Odyssey comes out.
AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHH MY MONEY!!!!!!!!! Make friends? Does that finally mean multiplayer?!
This in a must buy for me, but I won't be able to play it for a while... There's just too many games that I want to play and not enough time.
@wazlon No doubt. Now that I can afford video games I don't have time for them.
@Skunkfish Forget everything. Stardew is your life now.
Stardew Valley is actually trending, guess there are more than a few people excited about this! I'd imagine it's because this is the perfect fit for Nintendo Switch, eh @Menchi187?
And I just spent my only pocket money on Shovel Knight and Golf Story last week since I thought this was never going to get a release date. Looks like I'll be waiting until Christmas break to get this one. Glad to hear it's finally coming out, though!
I've bitten off more than I can chew currently. Will keep this on my short list though.
Haven't tried on my PC or PS4 yet, so I'm for sure buying this. I'm glad it's not extra money either just because it's on Switch (which I can't say the same for other games). Day one buy.
What? What! So soon. Oh no. Nonononono. This is a problem.
Same day as Axiom Verge. Oh, and Metal Slug X is apparently this week's Neo Geo title. Insane.
"perfect fit for the Switch!"
Look everyone, @Menchi187 got something right there. Ok he didn't mean to, but this is a big day for him. Everybody gather round and ruffle his hair. Yeah he can have a cookie.
@Redax You may just be fishing for attention, but I have to ask: do you really not like any of the games so far on Switch? Do you only like RTS or FPS games or something? I admit that the RPG scene is sparse, for now. You must have very specific tastes.
I feel like Menchi187 is the new pet of the forums. Well done, Menchi. Your little email account must be lighting up with all the mentions you're getting. So nice to get all that attention! Happy gaming!
Stardew Valley? Argh, want it; but SMO is out in a few weeks...
@Moon Multiplayer is scheduled to release sometime next year for at least Xbox and PlayStation, but I don’t know for sure whether or not it will come to the Switch.
Never really found interest in this game until I saw my friend play it at his house. There’s definitely more meat on the bones than I initially thought, and it looks like an absolute blast to play. Day one for me.
This better have a nice icon or I’ll riot.
Edit: Icon here:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DLJh2tAW4AAjlPw?format=jpg
Been planning to buy this ever since its Wii U announcement!
To those who are about to try this for the first time: YOU'RE IN FOR A REAL TREAT!
😄😄😄😄😄😄
@Joker13z Me, too. I got no time for cooler-than-thou gamer kiddies. Yay for ignore buttons.
Also, this game is a perfect fit for the Switch. Mad hype over here.
@Leostacks shush! Don't give them any ideas
I think 15 is the sweet spot for me . Golf story being a point in caseflr me.
Yes I'm so picking this up on the fifth!
Looking forward to this. Put about 80 hours into it on PC, but this is such a "perfect fit" for switch (you know, an excellent, portable, Harvest Moon inspired game) that I will definitely put many hour into replaying it on the go.
@Menchi187 Pretty sure the Nintendrones aren't the ones being exposed by your ridiculous comments.
proceed with caution extremely addicting
By far the best Harvest Moon that never was.
Gladly double dipping on this one (From PC Version) to have it on the go.
@Menchi187 Although I do think that this game actually is a better fit for the Switch than it is for other consoles for multiple reasons, and although "Nintendrones" is pretty rude, it is kinda funny how many games are considered "perfect fits for the Switch", lol.
Awesome!! Here's hoping it gets a physical release. I'd love me a cartridge and box with that cover art!
@KirbyTheVampire I will also concede its a term that gets thrown around a lot. Mainly, because the nature of the switch means it is always the perfect fit if the game runs acceptably. His post is still fairly moronic =)
This is awesome, will be a good distraction till there is a harvest moon or animal crossing on the switch.
Anyone who uses words like "Nintendrones", "Nintendo Defense Force", "Xbots", and "Sony Ponies" in a serious manner are a bunch of douchebags that should get off the internet.
Think he just had a NintwndroneStrike
Yup, gonna buy it ASAP. Seems like the perfect chill game. Now if Chucklefish can give us a date for WarGroove too I'll be in heaven!
@roadrunner343 Indeed.
Sweet.
Nice price. Looks like I'll be grabbing this on Thursday
My eshop balance is ready.
I'll try to finish up Sonic Mania this week because if this is anything like classic HM, this game is going to consume me.
I will wait a bit longer for story of seasons. But i am sure i would have liked stardew valley. And who knows maybe i will get it later.
@Redax Fair enough. You sound like a fellow RPG fan, if you're holding out for Pokemon and the next Fire Emblem. As an FE fan, you'd probably like Mario + Rabbids - though obviously that game alone wouldn't be enough to get anyone to shell out for a Switch. I'm looking forward to the next FE too, not to mention Dragon Quest, Shin Megami Tensei and Xenoblade.
@KirbyTheVampire @roadrunner343 In my opinion, most indies games are in their best forms on the Switch because they usually run as good as they do on other platforms, and you can play them anywhere you want. The explanation is a mouthful and it goes without saying, so people shorten it by just saying that certain games are perfect fits for the Switch. They don't think that they need to explain the obvious. I don't think it's funny. It's kind of a figure of speech.
Every game on Switch is a perfect fit for the Switch 😄
The first thought that always comes to mind, with any game, is "woulda been better on Switch"
Just in time for Thanksgiving! Seems very appropriate! ^__^
Looks like a nice game to relax to. Could be wrong though.
@JaxonH It's not always true, though. The Switch has a certain feature set that makes SOME games perfect for it, while others... not so much. Any game that relies on advanced graphic processing, or where you rely on voice chat to communicate effectively, is not going to be a perfect fit. Any time they have to cut content due to cartridge capacities, or eliminate features that couldn't be ported, the version that comes to Switch may still be a good game, but you can't say the game was a perfect fit.
FIFA 18 is one example of a game that may have a perfectly serviceable Switch version - I know you're a fan - but you can't really say "FIFA 18 is a perfect fit for Switch" because it wasn't. They made it work, but the fit wasn't perfect. It had to be altered significantly.
Doom is another example. I'm really, really excited to get Doom on the Switch, but we all know that the graphics in the 2016 version were not in any way designed with something like the Switch in mind.
And then you have games like Stardew that just seem like they were always meant for the Switch. The Switch version of SV may end up being the definitive version of the game. THAT is a perfect fit.
@JasmineDragon
Ok fine. 9 out of 10 games are better on Switch. Obviously MP only games like Overwatch aren't (And yet still doesn't stop people from imagining it).
But I gotta disagree with DOOM. Game looks incredible, and it speaks volumes I've had it on my shelf for X1 for a year and never played more than an hour, yet am super excited to play on Switch. Screw the graphics (which look great btw, best it gets on Switch really).
Point being
every gamealmost every game is, by default, better on Switch. Even in the case of modern AAA titles, if I can get a version that looks extremely comparable, but comes without being tethered to the TV, I want that version more.My only complaint is that every game I want to play isn't on Switch. I played a match of FIFA 18 at work today before I started, and another before I left. It's a while new gaming life. I don't think I'm alone when I say I would practically take any game on Switch over other platforms if given the choice. Exception being online focused games like Overwatch or Destiny. Those are unfortunately not better on Switch. They could be, but Nintendo has seen to it that they aren't.
@JaxonH Doom runs at 30 fps on the Switch, though. It's a deal breaker for many people.
So hyped!!!! Day one purchase for me.
Why is this game fun? It's like Minecraft and Pokemon, I'll never understand them. 🤔
@NinNin
If someone chooses to not enjoy a video game for running at a stable 30fps, they are more than welcome to do so. But to me, that's like not driving a car because it "only" gets 30 miles per gallon. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. And I'm not a Nintendo only gamer- I have a 4ktv, PS4 Pro, PC, Xbox One X on preorder. Elitism is elitism. 30fps is perfectly fine for Destiny, unstable 40fps is perfectly fine for DOOM on Xbox One, but all of a sudden anything less than 60 is in an unplayable state on Switch...? Sure.
You're right, there will be people who won't play a game for being 30fps, just like there's people who won't play a game less than 4k. There's also people who tar feathers to their bare skin and monkey dance through the street. I try to not concern myself with those kinds of people. I could at least understand an elitist who has no interest in Switch refusing to play 30fps. That's one thing. At least they live their beliefs and stand by their values. But anyone who owns a Switch, clearly, holds no such impeccable standards. So if it was ridiculous hearing PC gamers (for an easy example, though the mentality has spread to elitist PS/Xbox gamers as well now) say such things before, it's all the more ridiculous hearing Switch owners say they "must have" 60fps or the game "can't be played", seeing as Switch is not the console to own if you insist on utter perfection to the last frame.
A bunch of people on the internet got their jollies in a rustle seeing a game like DOOM come to Switch, and are trying to convince Nintendo gamers it's not worthy by peddling that elitist nonsense, and Nintendo gamers are foolishly swallowing it hook, line and sinker. Meanwhile, these people are just laughing seeing so many gullible gamers persuaded by the ridiculous bill of goods they sold them. One by one they target every AAA game on Switch and find a reason to shoot it down. Nevermind how superior FIFA 18 is to FIFA on 3DS/Vita, nevermind DOOM on Switch is a country mile beyond CoD/Resistance on Vita, they force the focus to be put on comparing to the power consoles, nitpicking any lesser frames, any lesser pixel count, looking for even one less mode... anything which can be used as ammo to convince people it's trash and to be avoided.
@Aerona @Wazlon I think the last installments in the Harvest Moon series aren't that great. Stardew Valley does everything right what Harvest Moon does wrong in my opinion. And you can play this game with friends soon, which is something I'm looking forward to.
@SavoirFaire So I have played Rune Factory 4, but not that much compared to the Harvest Moon games. The game has a mining system, which includes combat (there aren't bosses though, so don't expect those). You have abilities, which level up when you use them. There is also a skill tree included in the game.
The great thing about this game is that you can play it your way. If you don't like to farm, then don't. If you don't like to fish, then don't. If you don't like to talk with villagers, then don't. There are plenty of other things to do in the game. I think it's a must for everybody who enjoyed Harvest Moon and Rune Factory, especially since it's only $15.
@Menchi187 Let's keep it civil, OK? No need for passive aggressive remarks or troll posts.
@justin233 A Wargroove icon? How? IS this game going to surprise us and be released too? Can't wait for it!
Horrible timing for me. :') Am playing Golf Story, SteamWorld Dig 2, One Piece Unlimited World Red and Mario + Rabbids at the same time right now on my Switch.
Not to mention that I'm also deep into FFX HD right now and am going to play through Halo 1 to 5 with a friend in the next few weeks....
Dying shame, because I've been waiting on this port forever.
@Kosmo I was showing the Stardew icon, obviously.
@JasmineDragon Hell yeah it is. My weekend is gone now haha.
@NinNin I think we're agreeing. Like I said, assuming the game performs the same (As is the case with 99% of indies) Switch really is a perfect fit for them. I just find it humorous that the term gets thrown around so much, because it really is a given. It would be similar to me going onto another site and posting on every multi-platform game how it's a "Perfect fit" for my PC, where I have more choice for controls, higher resolution, higher frame rate, better graphics, etc...
@JaxonH thank you my friend...even though i dont comment as much as i used to its always refreshing to read ur sensible perspectives against some of the silliest things the we encounter in this gaming community like the flawed logic of “60 fps is a must to enjoy games” i cant understand it and remember when having fun just playing the game was all that was needed to enjoy the game instead now apparently “criticism” is much more entertaining then actually playing games...or when people are quick to judge Starfox 2 to the “standards” of today while ignoring all the amazingly ambitious things it attempted and became a foundation to other games that people werent even aware of or that even with all its imperfections Starfox 2 is still fun to play...im looking forward to Doom on the switch as well but not even odyssey can top my excitement for Xenoblade Chronicles 2!!!! i know i love mario and am excited but xenoblade for me is like cookies for cookie monster i believe only @rjejr understands me struggle lol!
@WanderingPB Yup, looking forward to XC2. Still undecided on the $60 or $100 version and the $75 Pro controller, and we're kind of short on disposable cash w/ the $415 Switch Mario bundle (NY tax is tough) but we'll be playing it. Might wait until January though as we'll be out of town for a week and I don't want that long of an interruption in a story driven game like that. Mario should take up most of Nov and Dec anyway. And my kid is getting Sonic Forces day 1, I can always play that for a bit. And I still really want to play Horizon Zero Dawn, but I'm waiting for the DLC - already paid for - Nov 7.
@Tasuki And what happened to that I wonder?
I just checked the eShop and it says 1 player only??! WTF?
So much for CO-OP mode then and instead they just rushed it to release it seems
I was really excited for this and to play it together with my son.
So I will pass for now, until they get multi-player in that was promised! :-/
@rjejr i know the struggle is real in my house as well lol! in between juggling my work schedule ive managed to beat mario rabbids last week and still play the local co-op with my son. but when iplay single player lately its my ps3 im on hour 88 in Persona 5 its still my GOTY until XC2 and when im out depending on my mood im juggling Samus returns on my 3ds with FF7 on my vita though honestly all i can think about is persona 5 lol! yeah im in NY as well the tax is tough thats why i usually shop at best buy with the gamers club unlocked like @JaxonH always mentions because u get a discount regardless of when the game comes out unlike amazon now and the points add up so u get a certificate for money off any best buy purchase which is why im paying only $60 for the XC2 LE so thats a easy decision for me to make and that xc2 controller...well its me eating cereal for a week should about cover it...my will is weak my friend lol! Horizon Dawn is without a doubt on my list along with FFxv, valkyria revolution and Ni no kuni 2 i might break and finally get a ps4 pro this year but odyssey and xc2 are a priority. hope you and your family are doing well my friend
@WanderingPB
I got my Xbox One X on preorder for $299 thanks to reward certs from BestBuy.
The savings are real 😁
@JaxonH cant argue with those facts! lol
@justin233 Of course, I'm not daft. Great icon too. But, I got side-tracked by the Wargroove one. :3
@WanderingPB I'm still playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning on PS3. I'm about 50 hours in, took a break, I thought it was only a 30 hour game but I'm only 20% done so it's probably going to be 200 hours. Realistically, I'm never going back to it. It was good, but there are other games I'd rather play. Playing Gears of War 2 and 3 on Xbox 1 now, trading it in in a few weeks to GS for some money towards our Switch.
@JaxonH You spend so much money on games - not to mention all your Switch sales at Switchworld - Nitneod, Sony and MS should just give you consoles, they'd make their money back in no time. Best Buy should ban you from GCU though, your practically robbing them.
@JaxonH I used to find statements like "this game needs 60fps" laughable. Now I find them ridiculously laughable, because I've asked people making that claim to explain why it matters to gameplay, or to explain how my contention that any framerate quicker than my reaction time is sufficient is wrong, and I've never gotten any answer whatsoever, let alone one that makes sense. 60fps looks better, absolutely, but that's it, and when people asked to argue otherwise are silent I assume they agree, even if they don't realize it or don't want to.
@rjejr hmmm...yeah i understand but there are certain games that regardless of the time i want to complete...for example XC my 1st play through was about 178 hrs but replaying it on the new 3ds i beat it in a little over 70 hrs but that game is just incredible to me and have fun playing it every year...even shorter games like DKCTF i finished collecting everything, beat it even hard mode and all the hidden K levels and beat every K level in time trial ( at one time ranked #5 in 1-K lol) my total play time is 67 hrs and its really a 15 - 20 hr game just ur 1st run no collectables or hidden levels but as u already know that was also a favorite of mine...games that dont really hold my interest i never reach over 5 hrs and those i dont finish but may go back one day but like always im fighting against my own work schedule which is why for me the Switch is like the answer since im rarely home sometimes but im also a collector so my games are kind of like my trophies and i dont trade them in even if i dont like them plus there is always a chance my son might want to give it a shot...in fact if it wasnt for my son i wouldnt have over 200 hrs in MH3U or MH4U because he loved being able to play co-op with me and it was just that better of an experience playing with him than on my own. funny thing is when i play Persona 5 he is juggling persona4 golden on his vita and persona q on his 3ds while we contstantly show each other funny moments of our games and successes since we both know the persona world! my son has made gaming so much more fun and maybe thats why playing long hours doesnt deter me lol! but i do understand ur time is valuable but as long as ur having fun and are happy thats what truly counts my friend
@dregs78
I know I'm biting the troll bait here, but...
"Out on PC" is the key phrase. A PC is not a Switch, and games like Stardew Valley compliment The Switch well. While no doubt you'd argue even a toaster can run the game, not everyone is a PC gamer and many are buying it for the portability alone. I feel like this shouldn't require an explanation...
With that out of the way, having played this game for hours on PC, I'm definitely eager to pick it up again for the Switch so I can play it anywhere.
@Jeronan I believe the co-op is online only as well.
@Menchi187 I'm just going to assume that the reason you didn't answer my question, or respond at all, is that you are, in fact, a troll lacking any actual opinion.
Good to know.
@Onion I promise I wasn't trolling. The game is great, don't get me wrong but it's something that has been available in a million other places and it's been out for a while. First six threads I see on the reddit switch page is for this.
Anyway, what bugs me even more are the problems people have with the damn icons. I don't get that either but that's a whole different ballgame. I love my Switch, so believe me this was not a troll post =) Cheers.
@WanderingPB I have to say I haven't been gaming w/ my kids all that much lately as we've been playing a lot of single player games and they have been playing a lot of 2 player games together which is great for them. I've been more of a tv watching mood than a gaming mood lately anyway, I can't deal w/ the stress of gaming anymore. I stress out way too easily. Makes me very happy about no lives in Mario. I was going to buy Super Mario Run on my new phone I got yesterday but I was freaking out just playing the demo so I said no, forget it. I need to relax and have fun, not have to try to do anything.
@dregs78
This place has been so full of trolls lately, it's getting a bit hard to tell. Admittedly I haven't been keeping up with what people on Reddit are saying. I've been anxious for the Switch release myself, but having played it on PC already, I've been pretty patient. As I said though, lots of people have been intentionally holding off until it debuts on Switch.
Granted, I can see how it might be kind of annoying to hear people on Reddit begging for the game when it's out on PC, PS4, and XB1, but I imagine they're a very vocal minority who are holding out on the Switch version. I myself skipped getting it on PS4 since if I'm going to get a console version, getting it on Switch would be a priority so I can play it on the go.
I figured people would be asking more about the multiplayer.
EDIT: Updated the wrong post and had to fix it.
