JoeDiddley commented on Review: Kirby's Pinball Land (3DS eShop / Game...:

I love this game, I played it for hours as a kid. I still dust off my gb now just to play it. When it comes to Europe it's a day one purchase for me.

It only has 3 tables yes, but they are each in 3 sections & there are bonus games. Pinball Pulse only had 1 table, cost about the same, had less character and got a better score (I game I have & like too).

JoeDiddley commented on Zen Pinball 3D Lights Up North America on 12th...:

I'm looking forward to being able to compare my (fairly rubbish) scores to more of my 3DS friends now that the game will be available in America too.

And I will definately be picking up any DLC. I got Zen Pinball the same day as Pullbox & Mighty Switch Force but it's Pinball I'm playing when I'm on the go.

JoeDiddley commented on Talking Point: Your Nintendo Christmas Presents:

I downloaded Pullbox, Mighty Switch Force, Zen Pinball & Tetris (GB) with anticipated Christmas money.
Then I tapped & unwrapped my presents on Christmas morning :)

Today I also picked up cheap copies of Starfox 3D & WarioWare Smooth Moves.

JoeDiddley commented on Review: Tetris (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy):

I downloaded this straight away. It holds so much nostaligia for me & it has the best Tetris soundtrack.

I never really play Tetris Party Live online & I might just back it up to my SD card.
Tetris vc loads straight from my SD card, Tetris Party Live doesn't & I don't have space for all of my DSiWare games.

JoeDiddley commented on Japanese eShop Gets Picross e Sequel Next Week:

I keep looking out for Picross e. I have played hours & hours of Mario's Picross, Picross DS & Picross 3D on my 3DS.
Surely Nintendo see this info & know there is a market from us all in releasing the eshop games.
Please please please.

JoeDiddley commented on Nintendo Download: 22nd December 2011 (Europe):

I will definately be getting Tetris, so much nostalgia for that game.

I need to free up space for DSiWare games so I might delete Tetris Party Live for now, I hope one day for an update so I can load these games from the sd card. Nintendo will get more of my money if they do.

I'll be having a downloaded Christmas with this, Mighty Switch Force, Pullbox & Zen Pinball.

JoeDiddley commented on 3DS Ambassador GBA Games Out Friday in Europe:

Wow, with the NES games they announced 5 great games then gave us another 5 ok ones.
These are all stellar. I haven't played any of them apart from Yoshi's Island so I am very excited. Especially for Wario 4 and also Maximum Velocity because I've never played a F-Zero game :)

I really want Pullbox but I am broke. And I couldn't wait until Christmas for Mario Kart or Super Mario 3D Land.
I will see if I can be patient and not buy Pullbox & Zen Pinball until Christmas, then I will have something new to play.

JoeDiddley commented on Talking Point: Nintendo Makes Bold Move with t...:

I am happy as I want the 3DS to succeed and I will get the games. I bought a 3DS at launch because I was excited for the virtual console. I never had a Gameboy Advance & even though you don't get to choose the games the 5 announced so far are the ones I want most.

Even though I have already bought a few of the NES games (some twice) I would have paid yet again to have portable versions.

JoeDiddley commented on Review: Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions (3DS):

@Azikira I'm also disappointed it's not the DX version. If it was I would have bought the game no matter what (I don't have an xbox or ps3). So as I'm not excited by the other games on the compilation I wont bother. I'm going to get the psp mini Pac-man CE game for £3.50 (/$5) instead.

JoeDiddley commented on Jupiter Creating Picross E for Nintendo 3DS eShop:

Day 1 purchase for me. Picross without having to carry around a cartridge is perfect.
I hope that like the GB Mario's Picross it doesn't show you an icon of each level's picture once completed. This hampered Picross DS' replayability for me.

I always thought that Donkey Kong '94 wouldn't be released on the 3DS vc for ages. I've always wanted to try it so I am very happy that it has been released so soon.
Hopefully as there aren't years worth of 3DS vc releases for it to compete against yet more people will give it a go.

JoeDiddley commented on Talking Point: How 3DS Can Thrive at E3:

The fact that you can now see depth in a 3d universe isn't going to be as game changing as Mario 64.
Maybe the 3DS's secret weapon is augmented reality. Clever use of this to refresh an old IP or to create a new one could potentially be revolutionary for how we perceive games. I'm surprised that this hasn't been mentioned & the focus is still only on 3ee Dee.

JoeDiddley commented on Talking Point: StreetPass - Is Silent Communic...:

I work in a medium sized city & have had 7 hits so far, 2 from the same person. 1 from a co-worker. I mainly carry my 3DS around to amass play coins. I agree that unless future games like Animal Crossing make the most of the feature then most people wont realise it exists and everyone else will be disheartened by their lack of hits.

JoeDiddley commented on Talking Point: 3DS Launch Line-Up Lacks Fresh ...:

I wouldn't judge any console on their launch games nowadays. It's quicker to get games out there by porting old ones.
Games could innovate by taking advantage of the new functionality but relying on this for its own sake can be bad too. Like all the early DS titles that only allowed touch screen controlls or tacked them on unnecessarily.
I am happy with Street Fighter IV (I don't own a HD console) & Pilotwings at launch & I'm excited about all the games that will come a year or so from now when developers learn to make the most of the system.

JoeDiddley commented on Review: LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (Wii):

A shame that there is no online co-op, but I think people have given up on asking for that now.
I don't mind that I don't know the story as I don't really like the Star Wars films & yet I loved the Lego Star Wars games.
All the other Lego games after that I just didn't think were as good (like Batman even though I like the franchise). So I might like this as it's a sequel to the Star Wars ones or I might be disappointed at the lack of innovation in the series as with the others.
If I do get a copy it will probably be the 3DS version.

JoeDiddley commented on Review: Pilotwings Resort (3DS):

I was torn between this an Super Monkey Ball & I think I will go for this one first.
My brain can't really understand how up is down in flying games. The easy first missions & the ability to just fly around sound like a great entry point for the genre to me.
That & I'm sure that Super Monkey Ball will go down in price soon, Nintendo's games generally hold their value.

JoeDiddley commented on Feature: Nintendo Life 3DS FAQ:

Is it possible to transfer you Mii's to your 3DS via SD card from your Wii at launch? (It's a bit pointless if this is added later as I would rather recreate them all than have to wait.)

Was leaning towards Pilotwings as my second 3DS purchase until this review, I will have to wait until the review of that game too before I weigh things up in my mind.

JoeDiddley commented on Talking Point: To 3D or Not to 3D?:

When my 3DS arrives in the post it will be the 1st time I have seen it in action. I'm sure everything will be fine.
I get motion sickness but games don't make me feel queasy. I was slightly worried that Super Mario Galaxy would (some review sites even mentioned that it could) but I played it for hours on end & felt great.
