Kiz3000 commented on New Nintendo 3DS XL Charging Cradle Goes Up fo...:

@VortexTraveller The point of the cradle is that it is set up on your desk, or sideboard, as a permenant feature. This means that whenever you stop playing the 3DS you just place it on charge in the dock, ready for the next session.

I never used the one I got with my original 3DS, as it was massive, but this one that came with my Ambassador edition just sits nicely next to my lamp. No more red lights for me

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 25th December (Europe):

Quite a list for me this week. Good job I have £21 of credit to spend:

Weapon shop de omasse for £2.69 (Always wanted it, never got round to it)

Spy Chameleon for £4.49 (Looks like an interesting game. How much is Abyss currently? May buy that and get it essentially free with the discount applied to Spy Chameleon for owning it.)

Child of Light for £3.89 (Bargain at this price, even though I already own the PS3 collector's edition. Is my GotY so happy to buy it again.)

Stick it to the Man for £3.49 (Looks interesting but was put off by the price considering there is no replay value)

All those Wii U games should give me enough credit to claim a final £5 voucher from the promotion, giving me a grand total of £30 back from Nintendo. Cheers N!

Kiz3000 commented on Steel Diver: Sub Wars Version 4.0 Is Now Avail...:

"For £0.89 you can remodel a sub to expand its crew-carrying capacity. Before this update, the number of crew each sub could carry varied, but now you can remodel any sub to carry up to six crew members."

That sounds like some pay to win creeping in there. Aside from that every on of the tweaks sound great and maybe I'll get back to playing it.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 4th December (Europe):

@WiiLovePeace It's not a great game on the Wii U unfortunately. Player 1 is stuck using the gamepad controller whilst player 2 can enjoy the game how it is supposed to be played, with wiimote. Add to that the frame rate drops and terrible camera and you have an unenjoyable game.

The characters are great though.

Might try out SMT for that price.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 27th November (Europe):

Been waiting for Little Dew and PSHD for so long and now they arrive the same day as SSB and ORAS. Luckily I have built up £55 worth of eShop credit so I think I may pick up Little Dew and leave PSHD for a sale.

Of course I am picking up SSB physically, with cube adapter and new controller, and both Limited Editions of ORAS from Nintendo Store UK. Kirby, Fox and Yoshi amiibo's are sprinkled in there as well.

No one I know wants christmas presents right?

Kiz3000 commented on Limited Edition Steelbook Bundles Announced fo...:

The steelbook editions have been added to the GAME website but at an astonishing £50 price point and it comes with no figure. On the flipside the figures are pre order bonuses for the normal edition of the game.

So the options for UK are:

ORAS + minifig = £34.99 at GAME
ORAS + keyring = £34.85 at ShopTo
ORAS limited edition = £39.99 at Nintendo UK store
ORAS steelbook edition = £49.99 at GAME

It looks like NSUK is the best value bundle, so far.

Kiz3000 commented on Limited Edition Steelbook Bundles Announced fo...:

Hopefully GAME update their game listing to include these as pre order bonuses, instead of listing it separately as a limited edition {much like Theatrhythm Curtain Call is}.

I say this because I currently have both versions ordered there for £30 each, so it would be a bargain if I was upgraded.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 10th July (Europe):

Pokemon TCG!? Wow, that came out of nowhere. Downloading it as soon as it goes live.

Will it have multiplayer? I don't normally download VC games so I have no idea.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 3rd July (Europe):

I have been waiting for Armillo for months so that is the first I intend to download. Squids Odyssey was a game I was interested in but didn't have the funds at the time. Now it is on cross buy I will definitely be picking it up as well.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 19th June (Europe):

Monkey Pirates looks very interesting as a gamers party game, but the lack of online really hurts it. I may pick it up if/when it is in a sale.

Definitely picking up Pullblox World this week though.

Kiz3000 commented on Gaijin Games Changes Name to Choice Provisions...:

Woah Dave! Looks like an awesome Mario Bros clone. It even has multiplayer which is fantastic, I will definitely be keeping an eye on it. As for the name change, if they think that it will bring more sales then so be it, it doesn't effect us gamers so...

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 12th June (Europe):

@MouldyK This, so much this.

So they've realised that the World cup is upon us and decided to release or discount the football titles. I was expectIng Nintendo to release Mario Strikers U for the World Cup but it looks like I won't get my wish.

(Unless it will be shown on Tuesday and it will be a "this title is only on eshop and will be available after this presentation ends.")

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 5th June (Europe):

Pac Man on the Wii U for me as I have never seen the physical game go for less than £20. Yes the reviews are so so but it looks like a game I'll enjoy.

Won't be tempted by How to Survive at that price.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 29th May (Europe):

@XyVoX @unrandomsam Woah. Since when has CDkeys been offering Nintendo download codes? I remember visiting them a few times to pick up some eShop credit, but they never did any Nintendo products and so I had to use GameCodesNow. Glad to see GAME have some competition in this now.

Kiz3000 commented on Review: Swords & Soldiers (Wii U eShop):

Was going to get this anyway so this review hasn't changed my mind. I would like to try out Castlestorm at some point as well, but I'll grab S&S for now and get Castlestorm if/when it goes on sale.

Kiz3000 commented on PDP Confirms the GameCube-Inspired Wired Fight...:

That controller was released to help players play fighting games better, like Mortal Combat and Tekken. It actually looks pretty decent for that purpose and I can't wait to see what PDP come up with for a Smash one.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Confirms Tomodachi Life: Welcome Vers...:

@AlexOlney I have to say that this idea makes no sense. It is just a demo that is limited to the people that know someone wit a full copy of the game. Why not just release a demo on eshop? Put an insert with the game that states that there is a demo for your friends to try out and that the data transfers over.

In fact Nintendo should release the welcome version 1-2 weeks before the full game launches so that players can populate their island ready to go when the full game comes out. Throw in a few unlockable items that transfer over and they'd probably get more sales of the full title. Think of something similar to the Bravely Default demo, ie the best way to do a demo.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 22nd May (Europe):

S&S HD is a definite pick up for me, as I have never played it before and the price is right. Squids looks interesting but it is a little expensive, so I'll wait for reviews and probably a sale.

Kiz3000 commented on Review: Mario Kart 8 (Wii U):

So SasRT got the multiplayer seperate screens down at launch. It is a disappointment that Nintendo has not implemented this but maybe it will come in a patch? Hopefully.

Kiz3000 commented on Nintendo Download: 3rd April (Europe):

Will definitely download AW but may wait until after the April Direct to see if there is any special announcements.

I'll definitely pick up RUSH for that price to complete my Wii U Two Tribes collection. Such a shame about the difficulties they are facing.
