Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Design Director Laughs Off Question About Switch Release

whanvee

@TheDanslator I know it's been going on for quite sometime but it didn't bother me quite so much when I was a kid going to the video store to check out the SNES games. Back then I mostly just cared about how the cover looked, and whether they had the instruction manual. Once the 64 and PS came about I stuck with Nintendo as Sony was getting lots of shovelware a la Wii many years later. It wasn't until the gamecube that I had to get another system to help satiate my hunger for some games that would never see a Nintendo release. Since then I've been doing the same each generation. I always own a Nintendo system first though.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Design Director Laughs Off Question About Switch Release

I really don't care if the game shows its face or not on the switch. But him laughing is kind of insulting. That is one of the main reasons I started owning more than just a nintendo system during the gamecube age. So many good games were skipping my little lunch box. Once Conkers was announced for the xbox I just kinda couldn't say no. That and MK shaolin monks. Couldn't play them on a Nintendo system so I bought an alternative.

This guy just laughing is kind of an ahole move. I hope he gets crap from his bosses about it, though its doubtful

@mowerdude
This might just be the first season not remastered and no 400 days. I've only found that collection you are speaking of for 20 bucks. That means we are getting less content and less quality in the content we are getting for 5 dollars more? This sounds like a greeeeaaaat deal

Re: id Software "Still Uncertain" If Rage 2 Would Ever Work On Nintendo Switch

whanvee

@Mountain_Man I meant more along the lines of newer games as in Assasins Creed and others. Nintendo games are a given and skyrim isn't really the newest version but one that is a mix of the original and the rereleased ( whatever it was called). Not saying it's not possible but I don't see any third party open world games on the switch yet, barring skyrim. Even breath of the wild struggled a bit at times. Could be due to the engine starting on the Wii u? Who knows. I'm hopeful but I don't see it happening as much as we want it. We might see a lot of old open world games ala saints row the third. The newest "extra flashy" ones I doubt. Then again we'll see. I'd like to see some open world game being made exclusively for the switch but with the amount of time and money it takes to make said games it's a lot to ask of a company to make exclusives anymore . More consoles mean bigger exposure to people and more sales or so you would hope.

@Razer what makes me a troll? That I don't agree with you? People have differing opinions about all subjects. Learning to realize that instead of attacking folks when they don't agree is part of growing up. I guess you haven't gotten there yet. Good luck in life and I wish I cared enough to keep answering your crap. On second thought no I don't wish that at all. Good day sir.

Re: Video: Check Out Dark Souls: Remastered Running In Handheld Mode On Switch

whanvee

@Razer ok so I saved 40.

By your math 40 = DS remastered (1 game)

80= 3 games regardless of each individual games current value.
For twice the money you get three times the games not to mention the newest one in the series. That is my problem. It's still three games compared to the single one I'm getting. I don't see the value in it I don't care if I can take it anywhere.

Re: Video: Check Out Dark Souls: Remastered Running In Handheld Mode On Switch

Just saved me 60 bucks. Looks like I'll be picking this up used in a year or two. I was so stoked to pick this up and support this type of game and genre on the switch. But honestly its insulting to mine and I'm guessing lots of other switch gamer's intelligence. Trying to sell three times the game on rivaling consoles is ridicoulus, especially on the same date of its release on switch. 60 bucks for one game or 60 bucks for three? Wonder which one most will choose. This was proven to be a very stupid move in the past with mass effect. Why would bandai namco think it's a good idea now? Oh well guess this will sell like crap.

Re: Diablo III Producer Explains Why Blizzard Wanted The Game On Switch

whanvee

@Zuljaras They are putting it on a 1Mb card we will have to download pretty much everything but the title screen. I'm being facetious but I feel like on switch a lot of companies do that, even though their products are already more expensive on the switch. I think as a rule if your game is already 10 bucks or more expensive than the other consoles we shouldn't have to download a chunk of your game. They just keep passing expenses on to us and still charge more? Hopefully that won't be the case here.

Re: Publishers Are Refusing To Sign Velocity 2X Sequel, Dev Asks For Switch Players' Support

whanvee

I'm sorry but tough. This has happened to plenty a good game. If it got its downloads because it was free you might be out of luck. Publishers are looking for money more so than fanfare. It really sucks that you've put a bunch of effort into the sequel that might never be released. Honestly though if it's on the eshop and hasn't sold like hotcakes on the switch, there must be a reason. I say that last part with close to no knowledge of the game.

Re: A New Set Of Let's Go Pikachu And Eevee Videos Showcase Different Pokémon Battle Animations

whanvee

This actually looks like crap. These videos just about turned me off to the whole game. I never liked how disjointed battle animations were on the N64 this reminds me of that game. The pokemon also seem pretty lifeless much like those first 3d sprites way back when. It might just be me but pokemon look much better animated on the 3ds. Machoke's seismic toss looks so damn horrible. Unless you knew what the move actually does you'd never guess it's a grab move. Machoke hardly moves throughout the whole animation. I can't believe I'm saying this but I might actually pass on these tittles.

Re: New Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu And Eevee Trailer Shows Mega Evolutions, Vermilion City And More

whanvee

Why does solar beam come from the sky instead of venausaur. That sort of indirect combat is one of the things that really turned me off about pokemon Stadium way back when. Figured by now they would stop cutting corners. Especially with this version that contains only the first151. I understand once you try to program a move animation with 800+pokemon it's hard. I doubt more then 20 or 30 pokemon could use solar beam in this game so I'm pretty let down by this.

Re: Review: Overcooked 2 (Switch)

whanvee

This is great...as long as we don't see a sequel for at least a year. I know the first one was out for a while before we got it on the switch. Thing is, I could see them releasing fairly simple sequels quickly, but hopefully not.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd August (North America)

I really don't like the 25 buck indie trend. They just keep raising the price. I have never had a problem with 20 bucks but you are starting to move into retail pricing. I'd rather have a physical copy if I'm paying more than 20. It might just be me.
