@Nintendoh Like hell there's no Nintendo Tax. Carts cost devs 14 dollars each, plus Nintendo takes 30% of total sales on top. The only reason I continued with Nintendo on their new console is because I wanted physical media. If the games are no longer on the cart and are just downloads, but I still have to pay as if I am getting a physical card because devs have to increase prices to pay for the cart that literally does jack crud, that's a tax. Period.

If it's dloads all day, Steam is infinitely cheaper on virtually any multi plat game.

I sold mine. Which I know sounds odd this early on, but was just severely disappointed. The controls are just as uncomfortable as before despite the "larger size", I was extremely underwhelmed by Prime 4 (didn't feel like the original three at all in tone, to me), Mario Kart World was extremely disappointing and I didn't like the new control mechanic (jump and grind), and with the game carts being nearly all downloads, at this point, it really doesn't stand out vs just playing the games I was playing the most on it on a pc or the like. I'm paying the "nintendo tax" for what, exactly?

I appreciated the better graphics in multi plat games and the improved eshop, but ultimately that wasn't enough for me to keep interest.

For me the chatty NPCs and the pastel/light color palleted isn't for me. Doesn't feel like the isolation and dread you feel in the ot trilogy.

I guess the rear buttons aren't real GR buttons, that sucks. I like that I can set profiles per game without having to constantly remap controls.

Carmageddon looks like Split Second with Zombies. Not feeling that's the right direction.

No, I didn't like the demo. If it's like the original, great. I didn't play it back in the day, but as someone who wanted a racing game, this felt more like trying to text while driving. It felt like busy work and distractions... and oh yeah, you're driving.

More of a cube than the cube, tbf. By this extension, you could say it looks like half a Series X more, or a big Ouya. I think it is what it is.

That said, this is exactly what I'm looking for. I have my Switch 2 for portable / tabletop play so this will be a great way to play my Steam collection in the living room.

7/10 is far too high of a score. The fact you didn't warn us about a plethora of other obvious issues with the game, makes me question why whoever reviewed it, did. There's input delay, sound disruption, lag, etc. This should be a 2/10, and the score updated once patched. It's currently unplayable online, and if you know your MK, nearly broken offline. I made my purchase because your review made it sound passable. It's a mess!

I was excited for Superstars for classic Sonic, and thought the art direction was nice in videos prior to launch.

It's terrible. Like, worse than boring to play, it feels like a chore. Whoever made it doesn't understand the Sonic formula. It's off in nearly every way it needs to hit.

Since 2018... 7 years of mediocrity.

Let's see, they have the weakest of the three libraries. They were out-innovated by PlayStation on their controller tech. "Everything is an Xbox" is just... doing.....great. And what little innovation we saw with services like GamePass just lit themselves on fire.

Then make a BotW type game. Really hate how games like E33 etc have proved turn based combat still has a major draw, yet Square insists in going back and deleting it from classics like it's a bad thing.

I find it odd Game Freak's non-Pokemon games are able to look astounding and sound great. But when it comes to Pokemon, it feels like budget was $10,000 and a Dell PC from 2008.

@Moistnado It's not supposed to mimic the arcade. These leverless controls are popular for fighting games as they allow for guaranteed move completion if you do the required action properly, where dpad and joystick are harder to enter in an exact response 100% of the time.

Also, Cyberpunk plays at 39 fps with RTX off, low graphics, on the high end model.

That really makes the Switch 2's performance pretty impressive especially considering how much cheaper the device is.

My PC and my Mac didn't cost as much as this does on its own.

And investing in Xbox when Series X are being pulled and rumors of them backing out of consoles, true or not, seems like a dumb idea right now.

Couple that with seeing how quickly the first Asus ROG dropped in value, I'll wait.

I suppose I have one more reason to go back home, now.

Nintendo probably, "QUICK, make a patent or something and sue somebody!!!"

That would be Camelot, who now does Mario Golf. Which is likely why that still feels better.

If the Switch 2 version wasn't delayed, and the Switch 1 version didn't look like absolute ass, I have a feeling we'd be seeing stronger sales.

@AussieMcBucket Please, please... play the original. This game is not a direct replacement, regardless of whether you like it or not, they are not the same. This isn't a remaster, this is a remake; in every respect of the word.

It's not the same game. Hell, it's not even the same genre. Story has been changed. Tone has been changed. If you like it, fair enough. But this is like changing FF Tactics to an over the top twin stick shooter with RPG elements.

This developer doesn't deserve to work on Panzer Dragoon. How awful it is Sega has allowed them to run the franchise's name through the ground. This is gross looking.

I really like the next gen sticks, and that clear yellow is calling me. But no HD rumble is a deal breaker.

Day one with the replica. Don't care what anyone says, this is a dream come true for a lot of us who want to enjoy VB games without the BS the system makes you go through with faulty hardware that never really seems 100% fixed.

I only hope Panic Bomber is released later as it's by far my favorite game.

Give us the ability to buy some Tron costumes and lightcycles for cars and I'm in.

I currently have a doio leverless, but man... this looks like quite the bit of chonk. Honestly, in the world of joysticks, this isn't a bad price at all for what you get. I think anyone here who thinks this is absurdly priced probably doesn't have a lot of experience in the space. Thanks for the review; will look at this in further detail.

@Joeynator3000 This is literally what makes it perfect, though. If it was orthodox, nobody would care. It would just be Pokemon Crossing.

I'll be honest, with modern Pokemon games looking like extremely dated, copy paste affairs, this is the first game in the franchise that's genuinely made me excited in many years. I can't even say it's the game I wish was made. I'm just excited the studio has proved it can be creative. If this succeeds, maybe they could... ya know... apply that to the main game line.

Wait, people actually expect a millimeter of plastic to protect their console from a fall? Seriously? You should see these as grips, first, and something that protects the system from highlighting and minor scratches from transport and use, second. That's it.

@Jujuman I don't think you know what ripoff means. Palworld plays nothing like Pokemon, and other than having a similar idea for it's animals in game and art style, doesn't ripoff Nintendo's property at all. No claiming they're the first to create in game summons or any other easily provably wrong bullsh!t is going to change that.
