I don't care if I'm the only one in the world excited about this; this is something I'm getting day one, hell one of the best things they showed today by a long shot. I'm honestly tired of the VB's library not having more access, and anyone with an actual system knows how problematic the hardware is to keep working and well maintained. Bring it on. My only complaint is we're not also getting that amazing controller, which despite it being tied to such a failure of a console, is one of the best ever to be made.
Cyberpunk exists. That game single handedly makes it clear everyone is doing it out of greed. And let's be real, this is Ubisoft, so that's most certainly the case.
Interesting; I get stutters when going into new areas with Cyberpunk, but I take that as a cost of a loading-less world (open world) and because the game is so exceptional, it's a "price to pay" for the experience on the whole.
The encompassing experience here must not be as mesmerizing if you mentioned this as a final complaint next to the score, when this point isn't mentioned in the same place for Cyberpunk.
@BaldB3lper78 S2 plays Cyberpunk way better than a Steam Deck (can barely play Phantom Liberty on a Deck, while it runs perfectly fine on S2). This isn't about power, this is about laziness from the dev.
@Ellie-Moo I had the same concern; bought the game when I got my S2. You can buy weapons you want even if they're on later levels, providing you pay with in game currency to unlock. I found this helped my fun-level as I could play with a blaster that felt right to me. Unlike many fps, I simply can't play Splatoon 3 with like 90% of the weapons lol. So this was important to me.
After the PS5, I just don't care. And remembering how quickly Sony themselves gave up on Vita, nah. Sony never takes anything but main consoles seriously, and like I said, software wise, they've had a lot of strikes this gen, and they're just not the same PlayStation I fell in love with. S2 for me, and I'm very happy with it and don't think I'll be compelled to expand to a Sony portable this go around.
@Paulo The Switch 2 is more powerful than a Steam Deck. It's plenty powerful to run this games and more as evidence by Cyberpunk, SFVI and Madden on the system among others.
This is just bad optimization. Give the devs time to work on it, it's not even out yet lol.
@Moroboshi876 Literally says on their site it doesn't include network mode, so not sure where you're getting that expectation. The 2 dollars is for it including VRR to "closely reproduce the original arcade gameplay", which the S2 is powerful enough to do. Whether that's worth it for you or not is up to you.
If you're entering this expecting Wave Race you clearly don't understand what this experience was. This was more like an interactive ride than an arcade game; an experience. I appreciate having this port not for never-ending amazing gameplay but more for preservation than anything else. It was nice to see again and to jump back into that world, even if it's very short-lived. Whether that's worth 16 bucks to you or not, is up to you.
I'm SO excited for this release. We need more of these arcade titles to come out from this generation! This one was one of my favorites back in the day.
SFVI got the game to run as pretty as it did by rendering sub HD and then upscaling to 1080p, making it so graphical details weren't sacrificed. It can't be this hard to do something similar to Tekken. This is a game that's on PC, so you'd think editing of graphical sliders are built into the game, so even if they don't do something tricky like Capcom did, it would be easy enough to port.

Want physical version but Limited Run can suck it.

Re: Review: Everybody's Golf Hot Shots (Switch) - Silly, Satisfying, But Hampered By Patchy Performance & Presentation
This game can barely run on a S2 or a PS5; looks like it was made for PS3. This is just shoddy programming. What a shame, was hoping to buy this.

No ac adapter, no hdmi, no intake, no fan..... guys, just spend the extra dough on a Nintendo one. Don't be cheap, you always pay for it in the end.
Hopefully premium fully featured docks come out soon.

@BulkSlash Wave Race 64 is the golden standard for sure, even Blue Storm pales by comparison.

@TenEighty Yeah I don't understand how this is being compared to a home console full fledged game. That's not what this is, or was intended to be.
