Congratulations Nintendo!
It has been legally proven that the Joycon Drift problem no longer exists. Soon there will be no reason for them to do free repairs anymore. Joycon drift is over guys!
That's okay. After all, that's why we have Dolphin. I can even play with a semi-normal button layout too, instead of those wonky "jump by pressing up" controls.
You might wanna hold off on Sports Story. It's bad... REALLY bad. I don't know how it's possible for a game with 2d pixel art to run THIS poorly, but it does. I've already had several instances where the game suddenly stutters right as you're trying to hit the ball. I got softlocked right in the opening area too. Guess it's my own stupid fault for buying it at day one. Golf Story is 10x better.
Mine spends 99.9% of it's time docked, so it's still in pretty good shape. Since I never really used the joycons for anything, they don't drift either! I did have to take apart and clean my pro controller twice due to drifting though. NL's guide helped me fix it, and it hasn't drifted since.
It's sad to see that there are some people who are frothing at the mouth, so brainwashed mindless and sheeplike that they will defend thier day-1 preorders to the DEATH, despite being released in a laughable state. Gamefreak is practically wiggling a middle finger in thier face, and these poor mindless fans have mentally conditioned themselves to find it perfectly acceptable. YOU'RE the reason Gamefreak made over 10 million dollars releasing an unfinished game.
Maybe next, Nintendo can DMCA anything using the color red, or copyright the name Mario so that people can no longer give their children that name. Or maybe, they could just... Improve the quality of their games? Scarlet and Violet would be a good place to start...
Tried the demo just for laughs, and couldn't even get to the title screen. Even the developer logos suffered from horrible stuttering and distorted audio. I've got fiber internet at 450mbps, and played right by my router just like Nintendo life.
Aww yeah. Nothin' says you're an awesome person, like paying a 30% price mark-up to get a super-cool design on your SD card that you'll never be able to see.
I've got...
-Gun Nac, loose - For less than $10 US on eBay, eons ago.
-Space Megaforce, loose - Also for less than $10 US, from eBay.
-Solatorobo, complete - $30-40 US? from Gamestop when it first released. I still have the unopened cd!
-Alien Infestation, complete - which is valuable, I guess? I only paid about $20 US.
-Earthbound, loose - Bought it from K-mart for like $10 US, with low expectations. They were clearing out SNES games to make room for PSX. If only I'd bought all the other ones in the stack! I wish I would've saved my box and strategy guide...
Hopefully they'll get that DENUVO crap out of the PC version at some point. Till then, I'm perfectly content with playing these on a raspberry pi like a filthy pirate.
They have something that fixes this problem already, and it's called Sonic 3 AIR... It even runs with widescreen support. That being said, The only way I'd buy this collection now, is via a very steep Steam sale. At least on PC, you'd be able to mod the music back into the game...
Putting up an image of Viewtiful Joe without the news that a port or new game is going to be released is just plain... mean....
Why would you DO that Nintendolife?
Meh, I can't imagine an official translation being able to out-do the excellent fan translation. Nintendo HAD their chance, and personally... I've already played the fan translation, loved it, and could care less about playing it "officially". I'm not a "purist" and have ZERO qualms about using an emulator.
Lol, I'm still not gonna completely shutdown my PC or Switch, when I can just use sleep or standby mode. Why wait 30-40 seconds for a complete startup when you can be an energy-hog and wake from sleep-mode within 5 seconds?
It's very cool, but I hope the creator polishes it more. There are minor visual glitches here and there, usually when the graphics load in. Some color choices aren't too great, and some boss fights can crash the game.
As with EVERYTHING Nintendo-related, download IMMEDIATELY before the Red and Blue Demon emerges from the depths of Lethal Lava Land to hammer it out of existence.
I ended up quitting after I "beat" the game. I tried catching the rest, but weirdly specific evolution requirements, low spawn rates for certain 'mons, and the general frustration of having to look almost everything up online, completely turned me off towards completion. I still have around 65 Pokemon left to catch... which equals out to around 30 extra hours of confused wandering.

Re: Review: Alan Wake Remastered - A Modern Classic Returns With Major Visual Downgrades On Switch
Wait, What? Really? Even my old office laptop from 2015 (with an ancient GTX 850m) can run this game with reasonable settings and a stable framerate.
