Another roguelite deckbuilder is on the way, and this one is being published by KEMCO, with old-school JRPG-style art — picture Castlevania-meets-Final Fantasy-meets Slay The Spire. It's called Overrogue, and it's all about working your way up to the grand title of Overlord by making your way through dungeons and labyrinths, overpowering monsters, and of course, playing lots of cards.
Here's the blurb, which gives you an idea of how many card combinations exist in the game:
There are up to 5 different labyrinth themes based on card genres like poison or graveyards. Enjoy a different deck experience each time you visit the labyrinth as the number of cards increases. Over 300 types of cards and 150 types of treasure await you, so combos and combinations are up to you.
The game is due to release on July 7th, for $14.99 across PS4, PS5, and the Nintendo eShop, with a 10% discount on Switch.

I admit that I have a soft spot for Kemco-published games. I can't think of a single one I'd rate higher than a 6/10 experience, yet I still keep buying them. I think it's that cookie-cutter engine they use; it gives all their games a Suikoden vibe.
Nintebdolife loves Kemco.
Love roguelites just not so much with the cards as opposed to action like Hades or Enter the Gungeon.
Several characters on a journey using cards to fight monsters--this looks like Baten Kaitos-lite to me.
I'll wait until it gets a Physical release.
Kemco games always entice me for some reason but I'm not usually super excited when I actually play them. Plus although I love Roguelites, I feel like it is hard to get the formula correct with deck building versions. So I'll probably pass on this one, but I'd still be interested to see a review.
At least they're doing something different. Though with Nintendolife Kemco could fart twice and they'd post 16 32 page articles about it.
Eww, it even has rogue in the title....
I have this on my phone and it's a lot of fun! It's also a lot cheaper on mobile and I'm not sure the Switch tax is worth it...
