Mario gets all the hype and credit. His name is on many of Nintendo's best-selling games, he gets to star in the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games; he's the big shot.
Yet Luigi is the favourite of some, including this writer. Perhaps it's his higher jump, the fact he's not carrying as much excess weight, or that he's less of an unbearably efficient hero and actually flawed. After all, wouldn't we all get scared if we saw a ghost?
Luigi is the topic of the latest episode of Did You Know Gaming?, so if you're a fan on the green one and enjoy trivia, it's well worth a watch.
It's still the decade of Luigi as far as we're concerned; the year Nintendo gave him wasn't enough.

It would be great if Nintendo made more physical copies of New Super Luigi U.
The ones on eBay sell for ridiculous prices.
Can't find it anywhere in the shops.
The other problem is you can't download it off the eShop anymore either.
You can only download it with New Super Mario Bros U.
For myself I already have that on disc, and don't fancy paying again for something I already have.

Luigi has been my favorite character among the huge and colorful cast of Super Mario Bros for as long as I can remember. I would either play him or Peach in most games like Mario Party/Tennis/Golf/Kart. Smash is an exception.
Here's hoping the green Mario gets to star in another great game, like the original Luigi's Mansion was.... Paper Luigi anyone?
Nice video! Luigi will always be my favorite Nintendo character! Glad the original Luigi's Mansion turned out the way it did. Hopefully Luigi will get another game starring himself very soon! Luigi's Mansion 3 for the NX would be great, but I'm also open to different ideas!
Nintendo needs to give Luigi more love. I'm sick and tired of seeing Mario's face. We NEED more Luigi games, and not ones where he's saving Mario's tail.

@Madder128 yeah i was wondering why they did that. you can only buy both and if you already have one in digital, you can't buy either the original game, nor the bundle at discount. it makes zero sense.

It'd be cool if they did Paper Luigi and just made it about Luigi's adventure during The Thousand Year Door. Rougeport could be the main hub too, and you could see Mario doing his own thing after each chapter.

@Giygas_95 While it's a great idea, A Paper Luigi game based on Waffle Kingdom (and a little bit of Rogueport) won't work, I'm afraid... We already know the full story. Tons of players will be playing a game that has already been spoiled for them. I think a better idea would be making a Mr. L game that combines the best of Super Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door (which includes exploring more of Dimentio's dark side).

I've always wondered if most Luigi fans are younger brothers/sisters. It's probably less relevant now but back in the 8 and 16-bit days usually the older sibling would have the games console and if the younger brother/sister wanted to play they had to be player 2, i.e. Luigi.
I'm definitely a Luigi fan now that I've played Super Luigi U, but being the older brother I was always adamant in the past that no-one makes me be player 2!

And I made the same stupid mistake, £10 in sainsburies and I passed on it.
@BulkSlash I'm also an older brother (out of 2). I'd usually go for player 1 in most games, but I remember well being player 2 for Super Mario World, or even when playing alone, I would start a 2 players game, let Mario's lives up, and finish the game playing Luigi
